FIRST, AN ANNOUNCEMENT: The mod team regret to announce that Second will be henceforth stepping down as moderator. We owe her a great deal of appreciation for the help and occasional pep-talk she gave in helping Ruby City back up when it found itself in a shaky spot, and her input will be greatly missed!
We are, however, happy to say that she will be remaining in the game as a player with her character Jake English.

Threat ReportWinter still has Ruby City firmly in its icy grip, with the final week of February beginning bitterly cold and not getting much better after that, particularly for those more used to warmer climates. The snow isn't falling again for another week, but the cold temperatures aren't giving it any time to melt. Well-trodden surfaces are likely to be coated in a thick later of compacted snow and ice, so watch your step.
It's becoming increasingly clear, for anyone who decides to take a trip into the woods or across the snowy plains, that some of the weaker animals - those left hungry or injured - are beginning to die off. Nature can be a harsh mistress, at times, but it might be best not to feel too sorry for any predators that you find on the brink of death. They're not likely to thank you once they're back up on their feet, with their hunger having made them impossible to reach.
Anything still left on its feet will view anyone - armed or otherwise - as an easy meal.
City NewsCandy and glitter was certainly abound on Valentine's Day and the city still shows the effects of the day in some places, with glitter still showing up where you might least expect to find it. It's continuing to prove difficult to get rid of for the most diligent of cleaners, and even magic doesn't seem to be able to get rid of it entirely. What kind of evil glitter from the bowels of hell is this, anyway?
With the departure of Elsa of Arendelle, the ice palace standing in the park has melted away to a shell, leaving only brittle ruins behind. If you feel like exploring what remains, do it quickly, as it won't be around for long once the weather warms. There is another peculiar, magical mansion in the park grounds, close to the city, created by one Sebastian Michaelis and currently home to Ciel Phantomhive, with the abrupt abduction of his butler into the catacombs for an unfortunately extended period.
An uneasily silence now has resumed in regards to the known Vices and Virtues, and things in the city are more or less back to normal. The bounty prompted by Charity's win in Ikaros' game is still evident in the stock of various shops, though it has fallen back to a more sustainable level. Despite Wrath also gaining a win, the stock in the ammunitions store seems strangely lacking.
The chilly temperatures aren't only causing discomfort to the residents of the city. Unfortunate souls might wake to find a spider the size of a small dog attempting to get in through their window in the manner of a house spider trying to find warmth in the winter, and it would not be unusual to find a tsuchinoko hiding in a cozy spot under your front porch. While the creatures that require good hunting to survive well are struggling, those which do not - such as wendigos - are more likely to be encountered in the places that they frequent.
Finally, there has been a new addition to the city, located on the Eastern Beach, in the form of a
boardwalk. We promise, it's perfectly safe...
