I don't really have a fitting picture for this.

G'day, Ruby City! It's time for a meme for both testdrivers and denizens.

Been itching to test out some CR but haven't had the posts to do it? Thinking of apping a character but not sure they'll fit in the city walls?

Have no fear, a meme for you is here.

Directions:

• Post with your character with their name and canon on top!

1. Train Station: New arrival, or waiting to welcome people? Either way, the train comes in, but you still can't ride it out.


2. Cathedral: Looking for redemption? Just doing a little sight-seeing? Or just getting a little shelter?


3. The Clocktower: You can see the whole city from here!


4. The Black Stallion Saloon: You were told the burgers were great here-- but maybe you just came for the beer.


5. The Library: You came to do a little research, but it looks like all of the information's just out of your reach. Though, you can always find a way to pass the time here.


6. The Coffee Joint: Run by James Potter and Lukas, a lovely place to have a chat and a bite to eat.


7. Le Cafe Anglais: A Parisian-British fusion that's as charming as it sounds and serves the best tea around.

Scenarios

1. Just walked in: You intended to get here, and you made your way in; but now someone's caught your eye and you'd like to have a chat.


2. Been here all day: You've been sitting around minding the time. Maybe you didn't notice them at first or maybe you were just working up the courage to talk-- either way, they know you're here and you know it too.


3. Inclimate weather: You're here because you've gotten rained in. This wasn't your choice, but at least it's dry-- right?


4. Wild card: Got something better in mind? Well screw these prompts, try it out yourself!

What kind of servant can't summon their own weapon at will?

A Servant whose Master sealed it away...

[He looks depressed.]

[Diarmuid seems shocked.]

How are you suppose to fight for your Master if your Noble Phantasm has been sealed away?

She said it would be too big of an advantage because of its power...

[He really seems on the verge of tears now.]

She? So not the master you just took here. The one from your home.

[Diarmuid whistles under his breath.]

She must be quite the strong magus if she keeps your Noble Phantasm sealed from you even here.

[He perks up.]

Yep! We're the strongest team in our Grail War! We'll win even without my Noble Phantasm.

[While is seems foolish for even the strongest team to weaken themselves in such a manner, Diarmuid can't help but laugh at the other servant's enthusiasm.]

It seems you get along with your master pretty well aside from the whole sealing thing. If nothing else, you have great faith in her. Hopefully, she has the same faith in you.

Of course. She wouldn't seal away my Noble Phantasm otherwise. She trusts me to get that Grail for her even without a weapon!

[Diarmuid nods. Though he still seems happy, that happy expression seems to fade slightly.]

In that case, I wish you luck in your war. I hope your bid for the Grail goes better than my own did.

It will. My Master is a good Master. And she trusts me.

[He sighs.]

I need to get home before I can get her the Grail, though.

[Diarmuid nods. He wants to tell the other servant to be careful and not let his overconfidence potentially be the thing that trips things up for them, but he keeps his mouth shut.

He would hate to jinx their efforts.]

Has anyone ever tried to get out of here? Have there ever been people who have left here and then returned?

I think my current Master might be the only one. But I haven't been able to find an exit yet. Maybe if I ride the train?

I am afraid I have no idea if that would work or not. My guess is going to be not. There is that...compulsion to get off once you arrive. I expect the train would not move until that grew strong enough to force you back off it.

[He gives the other Lancer a curious look.]

What ways has your Master tried to leave here so far? Or has he only spoke of trying and not actually tried anything?

He got dropped back into his world by the rulers. And then he got pulled back here. He hasn't found a way to get out by himself yet.

How long was he gone for? Both time here and time in his world. I have a feeling they probably move differently...

He was in his world for a few days. Same over here. Though it differs for other people.

Do...a lot of people get sent home?

[Diarmuid isn't sure how to feel about that because there's nothing waiting for him back home but erasure.]

I never counted, but it seems like a few every two weeks or so.

Ah...

[That is not really the answer Diarmuid had wanted to hear. After all, what is the point of him doing anything here, if he can be sent away so very easily?

And unlike a lot of others here, being sent back for him is the end of everything.]

I wonder...if it's worth it then...

[Diarmuid's eyes are empty as he looks out over the lake.]

There is nothing waiting for me but being erased if I go back home. If people are sent back to frequently, why should I even bother doing anything here?

[He stares at Diarmuid for a moment, than reaches to flick the other Lancer on the head.]

...Hey, how many people get second or third chances the way we do? Even if you only get to stay here for a short time, you should enjoy that short time to the fullest!

[Diarmuid's eyes narrow at the other servant.]

I don't deserve another chance. I failed during my first and if my Master's actions are anything to speak by, I failed at my second as well.

[He looks away, back out over the water.]

Give the time to someone more deserving.

He was the one who betrayed you. Why would you blame yourself?

[Lancer shakes his head.]

As far as I can tell, you deserve it as much as any Servant.

One betrayal perhaps I would blame on another...

[Though he does not.]

But twice means the problem must lie with the thing that is similar between the two situations. Me.
