G'day, Ruby City! It's time for a meme for both testdrivers and denizens.

Been itching to test out some CR but haven't had the posts to do it? Thinking of apping a character but not sure they'll fit in the city walls?

Have no fear, a meme for you is here.

Directions:

• Post with your character with their name and canon on top!


• Choose a location and prompt or wait for someone else to tag.

1. Train Station: New arrival, or waiting to welcome people? Either way, the train comes in, but you still can't ride it out.


2. Cathedral: Looking for redemption? Just doing a little sight-seeing? Or just getting a little shelter?


3. The Clocktower: You can see the whole city from here!


4. The Black Stallion Saloon: You were told the burgers were great here-- but maybe you just came for the beer.


5. The Library: You came to do a little research, but it looks like all of the information's just out of your reach. Though, you can always find a way to pass the time here.


6. The Coffee Joint: Run by Lukas, a lovely place to have a chat and a bite to eat.


7. Le Cafe Anglais: A Parisian-British fusion that's as charming as it sounds and serves the best tea around.

Scenarios

1. Just walked in: You intended to get here, and you made your way in; but now someone's caught your eye and you'd like to have a chat.


2. Been here all day: You've been sitting around minding the time. Maybe you didn't notice them at first or maybe you were just working up the courage to talk-- either way, they know you're here and you know it too.


3. Inclement weather: You're here because you've gotten rained in. This wasn't your choice, but at least it's dry-- right?


4. Wild card: Got something better in mind? Well screw these prompts, try it out yourself!

[ He's been around for a short while - long enough, at least, to know he's not going back home anytime soon. And that's not so bad, you know, there's no impending concern of being dragged back into the hole he crawled out of (figuratively speaking, of course), no demonologist on his trail, completely unaware of his colourful array of identities, nothing of the sort. You know what makes it bad, though? He wanted to travel. Sure, he's seen a lot. He likes to say he's seen it all, but the truth is he hasn't. So now he's stuck here, in some city in the middle of nowhere without any means to travel anywhere else at all. How disappointing.

He hasn't been here for long, but at least he's been here long enough to understand his case isn't unique. So while others' surprise doesn't outright catch his attention at this point, it's nonetheless a unique sight he comes across as he crosses the city square. The bartering prompted amusement, but the rest strikes him as eerily familiar somehow and Alaric can understand that this is no ordinary man. ]

It seems your pleas are falling on deaf ears.

[ Ha ha. He does approach the other man though and sets a hand on his shoulder. Hope you don't mind the impromptu conglomerate of demons, Trent. ]

[He does mind. You might even go so far as to say that he minds very much, but what does it matter. Demons aren't in the habit of minding human sensibilities.

While he isn't aware of Alaric being anything more than an ordinary, though nosy human, Trent sends him a sullen glare between two mouthfuls of glass. He would be trying to shrug off his hand, he would, but he's far too busy being in insufferable pain here, give a man a break.

It isn't until Cimeries is done - for the moment, Trent assumes glumly - that he pays proper attention to the smartass.

He wipes the blood from his lips with the back of his hand and swallows experimentally, but if it weren't for the taste of his own blood it would be as if the last five minutes had never happened. Cimeries is just as good at mending as at breaking.]

Nonetheless he does remove his hand from the other's shoulder and stands upright, stuff his hands in his pocket in the process. Hey, if he doesn't like being touched, who is Alaric to go against that? ]

His legs are still weak, yet Trent forces himself to his feet in an act of sheer willpower. No, he won't cower before this man if he can help it.]
