G'day, Ruby City! It's time for a meme for both testdrivers and denizens.

Been itching to test out some CR but haven't had the posts to do it? Thinking of apping a character but not sure they'll fit in the city walls?

[Ryou turns quickly, appearing startled. He's not possessed by that level or sort of sixth sense, and he hadn't realized this guy was so close to him.]

Oh! Ah, yes. I did get off the train. I'm not sure where it's brought me though.

[He wants to say that this happens a lot, but he doesn't know who this is, and trust is key around him. Also. Enjoy dat English accent.]

Could you help me out?

[Scott smiles, brushing off that creepy feeling he gets from the dark soul hiding inside the millennium ring. It's the same feeling he got when the spirits wandered the city while the defenses were down.]

This is Ruby City, and I'm Scott. [He offers, giving the other a sympathetic look.] I'll help the best I can.

Ruby City? That...doesn't sound very close to home at all. Ohh...where have I gone and ended up now?

[To say he looks a little troubled would be putting it lightly.]

Ah, but it's nice to meet you though, circumstances aside. My name's Ryou. You can call me Bakura though. Nearly everyone else does. [Some friends he has, they don't even call him by his first name. Ahh, that's a mean thing to think, Ryou. Reign it in~]

So do you happen to have a train schedule? I really should be getting home soon.

No, it's probably not very close to home. [Honestly, he has no idea where it's located. Different planet maybe? Whatever the case may be, odds are, it's not very close to anyone's home.]

Yeah, nice to meet you too. I wish it was under better circumstances, though. There really aren't any schedules for it. [How on earth do you break the news to someone that you've been kidnapped by a train?] You've kinda been kidnapped by that train. [~~Smooth, McCall~~. He sort of winces at his own bluntness.] We'd all like to get home.

But, if you want, I can show you around.

...Oh. That's not good.

[Not good is the biggest understatement. Remember that odd dark feeling that gave you chills? It's flaring, if possible. Someone's not happy at the thought of being imprisoned any further than he should have to tolerate. It's a little troublesome to Ryou, but he plays it off quite well by simply clearing his throat and running a hand through his hair.]

Ahem, well...if you wouldn't mind too terribly, I'd like that. I ought to get used to this. Maybe I can learn some more of the city. [Unhappy face though. He doesn't like this...]

[Gave? It's still giving him little chills. Maybe the kid is haunted. That's his excuse and he's sticking to it.]

Sure. I don't know all that much about Ruby City, but I'll teach you what I do know. If you can get used to it, it's actually not that bad here. [He smiles and rubs the back of his neck.] But I had friends here, so that made it a lot easier.

[Accurate. Well, fairly accurate anyway.]

Friends would help...hmm. I can't imagine you would have seen anyone named Yugi...or Jonouchi, Anzu, or Honda? I doubt my friends would be here, and I wouldn't wish them to be so confused but if there's even a chance...

[Hell, he'd have taken Kaiba at this point, maybe even Malik.]

[Scott thinks over those names long and hard. He isn't the most social around here, but he has met a few people. Unfortunately, none of those names ring any bells for him.]

Sorry. [He shakes his head.] I haven't heard of them.

It is confusing, but it's really not too bad here. [He tries to offer the other boy hope. Something worth looking up to.]

[Hard to show a guy his cup's half-full when he'd argue the cup itself is an illusion of control, eh? Or something like that, Bakura can come off a little fatalistic sometimes. Chalk it up to being almost constantly controlled by a psychotic spirit.

Despite that, he seems to respond rather well to Scott informing him his friends aren't around.]

Oh, that's alright. As I said, probably best they aren't here! I'll just have to sort out my own circumstances until I can find a way back, that's all.

I'm afraid...I haven't much money...

[Despite how unaffected he seems, Scott still feels bad that he doesn't really have any friends here, but he lets it drop.]

That's another thing about this place; you don't really need money. I was kinda worried about that at first too. [He gives a light shrug.] But there are a bunch of little shops scattered around here. You can get just about everything you need to be comfortable here. [You're starting to sound like a salesman, Scott. Stop.]

That's rather convenient! Glad to know I can just pick things up, though...erm. Well, I suppose that means it really can't be considered stealing. So long as that's not a problem.

I'm sure that unless it's a commissioned work or something, I wouldn't have to worry about that. If commissioned work is even something that's done here. [Really he wouldn't know. He's just making conversation and trying to learn.]
