G'day, Ruby City! It's time for a meme for both testdrivers and denizens.

Been itching to test out some CR but haven't had the posts to do it? Thinking of apping a character but not sure they'll fit in the city walls?

Have no fear, a meme for you is here.

Directions:

1. Train Station: New arrival, or waiting to welcome people? Either way, the train comes in, but you still can't ride it out.


2. Cathedral: Looking for redemption? Just doing a little sight-seeing? Or just getting a little shelter?


3. The Clocktower: You can see the whole city from here!


4. The Black Stallion Saloon: You were told the burgers were great here-- but maybe you just came for the beer.


5. The Library: You came to do a little research, but it looks like all of the information's just out of your reach. Though, you can always find a way to pass the time here.


6. The Coffee Joint: Run by Lukas, a lovely place to have a chat and a bite to eat.


7. Le Cafe Anglais: A Parisian-British fusion that's as charming as it sounds and serves the best tea around.

Scenarios

1. Just walked in: You intended to get here, and you made your way in; but now someone's caught your eye and you'd like to have a chat.


2. Been here all day: You've been sitting around minding the time. Maybe you didn't notice them at first or maybe you were just working up the courage to talk-- either way, they know you're here and you know it too.


3. Inclement weather: You're here because you've gotten rained in. This wasn't your choice, but at least it's dry-- right?

[ So maybe Noa let his more feline instincts out on certain occasions. What was the harm in just letting loose for a little while? Take in sights, smell the fresh air, all that good stuff. Sometimes that included finding a particularly sweet smelling patch of grass to roll around in (that also just happened to not be grass at all, but catnip instead. Regrets? What are those??). Other times, it involved getting up on high things...and getting stuck on high things.

Being a werecat does not mean you always land on your feet, just- fyi.

Looking down from some particularly tall branches is one very large man with only one arm, one eye, two cat ears sprouting up from the dark mess of his hair, and a faded red bandana covering the bottom portion of his face. Thank god it's day time otherwise this would very easily reach into 'scary' territory. But as it is, he's just a cat stuck in a tree.

No big deal. ]

[While Hanna was messing around with...whatever it is that he was doing, he had made a point to learn the lay of the city. Particularly, this day, he'd just so happen to be passing by when he noticed a rather large man in a tree. He stops to look up, hands in his pockets, eyes glowing, bored expression. As always. Tilting his head some, he furrowed his brows. Was he...stuck?]

...Are you ok up there?

Ha. Haha. I'm good, good, great even- maybe- by some peoples standards.

[ This is the part where Noa tries to wave it off and then quickly decides oh shit no, letting go of this branch is a bad idea. The branch holding the majority of his weight wobbles slightly with the aborted motion and Noa eyes it with a kind of dread. One way or another, he is getting down from this tree. ]

Juuuust...peachy.

[ This joke would be funnier if he was in a peach tree. ]

[Blinking, he watches from where he stands. He would offer to help, but he isn't exactly climbing material. He'd more than likely break apart at the seams. He takes the moment to assess the man. Cat ears. Why is he so afraid of heights then? Don't they have good balance?]

Do I need to call someone?

[ Something about that whole 'not having a second arm' thing just really messes your balance up. Noa didn't do science, but apparently, him and balance? They don't talk much these days. ]

Something tells me Ruby City doesn't have a fire department.

[ Noa eyes the drop carefully, deciding that, well- he might just have to bite the bullet and jump. He didn't think he'd break his leg, but the chance was sort of still there. Maybe if he rolled-? ]

[He starts to pull his watch out, keeping an eye on the man, now noticing his lack of an arm. He knows how that feels.]

[ Noa crouches down on the branch, his tail swishing a bit as he planned his next move, arm still holding on to another for support. Better safe than sorry, right? ]

Hold that thought.

[ And with that, Noa grabbed the branch he was standing on, swung down into a hanging position, and let go. Thankfully for him, it was a straight enough drop that he only got a little scratched and nothing caught on his clothes. With a heavy sound, Noa landed in a deep crouch, his muscles tense and pupils blown wide with adrenaline. ]

[Watching carefully, he moves back so as not to get landed on. His gaze follows the giant man as he meets the ground, putting his watch back in his pocket.]

Well...glad that was easy enough.

[At least he didn't have to cause a big fuss.]

I'm going to be honest, I didn't expect that to work.

[ Noa doesn't even get up, he just rolls back onto his ass as he realizes 'holy mother of god I just dropped three stories onto solid ground and have somehow managed to not break my ankle'. His hand, now free of it's duty as balance back-up, brushes the hair away from his face in a sort of shaky shock. ]

[He watches him for a moment before walking over, sitting right beside him in the grass. May as well.]

I'm impressed. I wouldn't have made that landing.

[ Noa gives the mystery man a smile behind the bandanna, the only indication the crinkling of amusement around his one good eye (the other doesn't really do much these days). ]

I gotta admit, I'm pretty impressed too. Thought for sure I'd break something.

[ Or multiple things. Details. ]

[He shrugs as he lifts an arm, pulling back his sleeve to show his stitches.]

Least you aren't patched together. You had a better chance than I would have.

[ Noa raises a dark brow at the sight of the man's stitched together self. ]

Very true.

[ Pretty confident of him to be so open about it. Noa decided to keep quiet about his own scars though, past the obvious ones; best to keep those behind the scenes. ]

You got a name?

[He really needed to just get a name tag indicating that he didn't. For now, he would just shake his head as he always does.]

Don't remember it.

Gotcha, gotcha.

[ Way to pick the totally not awkward questions, Noa. Good on you. He leaned back a little, resting his hand on the ground in support. ]

I'm sure you'll remember it again. Name's don't go away; they'll follow you around for a lifetime.

[ And your un-lifetime, too. ]

[He just shrugs. It's been a while now since he showed up on Hanna's doorstep. He's gotten so used to not having a name, he isn't sure he really cares anymore.]

Honestly, I wouldn't mind if it didn't. I've gotten so used to people just making up random names for me.

Random names? [ His ears perk up, interested in these 'random names' the nameless man speaks of. ]

[ Noa grins widely behind the mask, the lines in his body painting an eager and excited picture.

The boy is just tickled pink, okay. ]

[ Noa leans forward and puts his hand out for a shake. ]

[ Yeah no, suspicions confirmed, Alphonso was definitely a zombie. How very intriguing. ]
