G'day, Ruby City! It's time for a meme for both testdrivers and denizens.

Been itching to test out some CR but haven't had the posts to do it? Thinking of apping a character but not sure they'll fit in the city walls?

Have no fear, a meme for you is here.

2. Cathedral: Looking for redemption? Just doing a little sight-seeing? Or just getting a little shelter?


3. The Clocktower: You can see the whole city from here!


4. The Black Stallion Saloon: You were told the burgers were great here-- but maybe you just came for the beer.


5. The Library: You came to do a little research, but it looks like all of the information's just out of your reach. Though, you can always find a way to pass the time here.


6. The Coffee Joint: Run by Lukas, a lovely place to have a chat and a bite to eat.


7. Le Cafe Anglais: A Parisian-British fusion that's as charming as it sounds and serves the best tea around.

1. Just walked in: You intended to get here, and you made your way in; but now someone's caught your eye and you'd like to have a chat.


2. Been here all day: You've been sitting around minding the time. Maybe you didn't notice them at first or maybe you were just working up the courage to talk-- either way, they know you're here and you know it too.


3. Inclement weather: You're here because you've gotten rained in. This wasn't your choice, but at least it's dry-- right?

Nick! C'mon, let her introduce herself first. You gotta work on your paternal instincts, huh?

[ The mention of his disbarment has her stiffening slightly. ]

...If you aren't from my time, how do you know about that?

[ She blinks and looks at Maya. Oh, right... introductions. Her demeanor shifts once more, although her smile is more forced than she'd like it to be -- Trucy's a performer, and she knows that no matter what, the show must always go on.

So she beams at the duo and gives a friendly tip of her hat. [

Sorry about that. My name is Trucy Wright, magician extraordinaire and assistant to Apollo Justice! Pleased to meet you! ...Again.

Some guy named Klavier Gavin sprung it on me without realizing I was from the past either. He explained when I pressed him on it.

A...ah. Nice to meet you, uh, Trucy. Sorry, I wasn't expecting to find out I have a kid. I mean, I'm not even in a relationship yet.

[ She grins at Maya and shakes her head, suddenly more lighthearted than before. ]

No, not at all! Daddy-- er... [ And she wilts briefly. ] ...Mr. Wright adopted me two weeks after his disbarment.

[ She sighs and briefly almost looks hurt, not liking having to call him that, but... well, he's not her dad yet, so what else can she do? ]

I can tell you two what I know. Well, some of it, at least. Is there some place we can sit down? This may take a bit...

[I'm not sure whether to be relieved, or to be disappointed that apparently my love life is still just that nonexistent.]

Um, I'm not sure where he is right now, but I'm sure he'll pop up over the watches sooner or later. We can find places to sit down a lot easier, at least.

...uh, or I guess the cafe is closer. [it is taking all her restraint not to ask about the magician thing. Disbarment first, magic after.]

But I'm pretty surprised Nick's raising you on his own. You look so put-together!

Anywhere we can sit I'm fine with. This is sort of a long story.

[ And she's definitely not going to be telling them everything. She doesn't exactly want to screw stuff up for the future, and besides, she's learned from the best of the best.

It's not exactly withholding information if you have the best of intentions. ]

He's a great daddy, and he's definitely the most amazing person I know... if he hadn't taken me in, I don't know where I'd be right now.

[ She smiles warmly, a small pang of homesickness hitting her already. ]

[Maya's quick to wrap an arm around Trucy's to lead her away with them, grinning.]

C'mon, let's go talk before you get him tearing up outside. We can tell you what's up here, too!

[ She simply smiles at Phoenix, but doesn't elaborate anymore. If she does, she won't shut up about it, and she knows it. They've got questions they need answered first, at least.

Grinning right back at Maya, she nods and giggles as they link arms and begin to walk. ]

Good idea! Yeah, it would be nice to know what I'm in for while I'm here!

[Why do I get the feeling that by their forces combined, my life is going to get even more difficult than it already is?]

So, er, Trucy. I don't suppose you can at least shed some light on what kind of work I manage to find after... uh, things happen, can you?

[Maya goes quiet for now; Nick's the one with the important questions here. Still, she keeps Trucy close in attempts to act as a support; if it's hard for Phoenix to hear, it must be harder for Trucy. Besides, she's adorable, and Maya's pretty sure they'll be friends.]

[ Trucy happily sticks close to Maya, because it is nice -- this is a huge shock and somewhat of a let down to have the man who has raised you for the last seven years not even know who you are.

She glances back at Phoenix, though, and smiles again. ]

Oh, sure! You're a pianist... and a professional poker player. You haven't lost a game in seven years!

Ah, I see. Well I do think I've developed a pretty good poker fa...

...Wait, how am I a pianist? I've never played the piano in my life.

[Excuse Maya, she's just going to attempt to hide the burst of laughter that results from the pokerface comment in her sleeve with a few giggly coughs.]

Yeah, you're very good at poker... with a little help from me, at least.

Hm? Oh, well, you're pretty horrible at it, I won't lie... the customers ask you to play one song, and that's usually all they want.

[ She grins back at Phoenix, before looking back at poor Maya. ]

It's true, too! Daddy's piano skills are definitely less than desirable, but that's okay. We at the Wright Anything Agency accept any talent, big or small~.

Er, you help me with poker? And how am I not fired if I'm that bad at the piano?

[Great. Apparently I'm a loser who cheats at poker and makes a living playing piano terribly. This isn't exactly encouraging.]

I've got a unique talent of my own, but we can talk about that a little later. Also, you're not fired because mostly people come to challenge you at poker... who wouldn't want a shot at trying to defeat the seven year straight poker champion, hm?

[ She looks up at the sky as she walks, though, and hums. ]

...It's weird to see you in your suit again, though... weird in a good way, of course.

[That'd be more flattering if she hadn't already admitted she helps me out with the game. *sigh*]

Ah... Well, I'd be lying if I said I'm looking forward to the time where I'm not wearing it anymore. I wish I could do something about it, but apparently people just sort of forget their time here when they go back.

*He rubs his face.*

I guess I would like to know at least one thing right off the bat. What happens... did I do it deliberately?

[Maya can even verify that; she didn't remember a thing when she went back...

She grows serious, waiting for Trucy's answer-- she wants to know as well.]

...I know. I'm sorry, but... it will be okay, I can promise you that much. I'll take care of you when it happens; my magic shows make us plenty of money to live off of, even if we do scrape the bottom of the barrel for the most part! Between your poker and piano playing and my magic, we've been okay!

[ That last bit has Trucy pausing in her steps, and she turns to face Phoenix, looking quite serious for the first time since arriving. ]

No, you didn't. You were set up...

Ah. I guess that's something of a relief.

[Though I'm not sure how I feel about having my adopted daughter be the breadwinner of the family...]

*He looks at her. And then sort of... sags. It doesn't seem to be an upset sag; rather, he seems to be relieved, as if a major pressure has been removed from his shoulders.*

I see... that's good. I didn't think so, but I just had to be sure. That makes me feel a little better, I guess.

[Maya lets out a breath she hadn't realised she was holding, and gives Phoenix a look.]
