Ruby City Holy Grail War

PLOTTING POST

This is the plotting post for the Ruby City Holy Grail War event! Please use this area to partner up in master-servant pairs, and generally get some ideas flowing for the event.


Please be aware: we have exactly one master-to-servant right now, so you should be able to team up. If you haven’t found a partner by Thursday, please contact us, and we will employ the random number generator to pair you up.


The GoogleDocs Spreadsheet has all of our participants, everyone’s stats, and will be updated. When you have found your master-servant team, please contact Fel and Meg so they can add the information into the spreadsheet! This post on Waver’s journal is being used to keep an eye on threads, and will serve as an additional point to contact the mods, ask questions, etc.

WHO WANTS TO KILL A BIRD

So Davesprite is pretty set to be Xion's Servant, but I need someone to kill him before the first week is up to free Xion up to gank someone else's Servant. Who has a Servant willing to kill (or a Master willing to force a Servant to kill, or interference who want to force the Grail War to transpire by killing) a fourteen-year-old crow boy who largely doesn't want much to do with all this? Davesprite's mostly in this to protect Xion and to try to keep the Grail from falling into bad hands.

Also, if anyone wants to fight him, I'm so down. Davesprite doesn't really want to kill anyone but he will to protect Xion or others and he may try to incapacitate other combatants if he thinks they're up to no good.

Checking to make sure that marking Xion down as Dave's master in the spreadsheet is okay for now - I'll update it when things change, of course.

Dave, Waver wants to get in touch with you if you are trying to keep the grail out of the wrong hands.

Pretty sure that's fine, I'll ask Emily to confirm when she gets online.

Absolutely, dude. Davesprite will likely contact Waver if Waver's putting up that open post on the network like you mentioned the other day. He knows Saber, and between what he knows of her life and what he'll wake up knowing, he'll have a pretty good idea what he wants to do already when the event starts. That said, his main priority is keeping Xion safe, so he won't go do anything on Waver's request that would involve putting her in danger or leaving her alone.

Awesome, this will probably be one of the better alliances, as Waver knows having Saber's trust is usually an indicator of good things about the person in question.

Is Waver going to be setting up any kind of safe-ish HQ for Team Justice? Davesprite would appreciate the safe space for Xion and any other kids and would be more available to help out, as otherwise he'd be pretty concerned with hiding. Security and anonymity's a thing he'd bring up to Waver initially for sure.

--I didn't even think of it, but they probably should. If a caster allies up, then the territory creation skill might come into play to make a safe area. If not, scattered locations that can't be ambushed in one go would probably be discussed.

Actually, that in-character discussion might be a really good idea.

I AM NOT SURE. Sephiroth's player has also offered do the honors, so I guess it depends on the whys and hows. How badly does Machi want the wish cup?

Okay wait yeah sorry I just got home to read all these--it does look like Sephiroth's got confirmed dibs on bird murder, but Emily said she totally wants to interact with your team and I do too. Wanna have a fight before Davesprite gets offed?

I think that can be arranged! Machi's number one goal is obliterating Rip (or trying to), and then after that he's pretty open!

I'm not sure when Davesprite's death is going down but if he's still around and Machi starts turning his attention towards other targets--and if he's known to be definitely going after the Grail, and violently so, and especially if he shows interest in Xion--he'll be so down to rumble. If Machi wouldn't go after Xion, Davesprite could still jump to conclusions. He's an overprotective guy. He has knight problems.

Machi might not know Davesprite's master is Xion at first, honestly. Alternatively, Davesprite is free to jump to conclusions. Machi will make no effort to persuade him otherwise.

Davesprite's got no intention of leaving Xion's side at any point until he's forcibly removed via brutal and unmannerly death. It'd probably have to be a case of Machi getting too close or something. Although, I've heard rumors that Saber might be pairing up with Rip. Davesprite likes and looks up to Saber, so if he hears that Machi attacked her and then Machi turns up around Xion, he might be like yo, what do you want, back off, buddy.

fdfjkdgh HAHA oh no, that wasn't Davesprite, that was regular Dave! Davesprite is an alternate future version of Dave who came back in time and jumped into a thing and became an orange crow ghost thing. I was wondering why I couldn't remember doing a thread with you. Feel completely free to confuse them ICly in the future, though. That is super funny and hasn't actually happened yet in game as far as I know.

I'll throw a comment up for you if I can but I'm pretty wiped out today so I may not be able to keep a whole thread going tonight.
