Ruby City Holy Grail War

PLOTTING POST

This is the plotting post for the Ruby City Holy Grail War event! Please use this area to partner up in master-servant pairs, and generally get some ideas flowing for the event.


Please be aware: we have exactly one master-to-servant right now, so you should be able to team up. If you haven’t found a partner by Thursday, please contact us, and we will employ the random number generator to pair you up.


The GoogleDocs Spreadsheet has all of our participants, everyone’s stats, and will be updated. When you have found your master-servant team, please contact Fel and Meg so they can add the information into the spreadsheet! This post on Waver’s journal is being used to keep an eye on threads, and will serve as an additional point to contact the mods, ask questions, etc.

SO I'VE GOT PLANS FOR JEAN well vaguely, in any case. He is all set up to be Lioriley's Servant, however it is my goal in life to make him suffer and THUS I want him to be killed in a fight with Marco because I live for this kind of pain. THAT BEING SAID Jean will probably not want to fight initially since he holds no stakes in the Grail, really, but he'll take it seriously since being a servant lets you know this shit is real. He's also probably a bad Servant in that he's going to have much more to say about leading than following orders, but that's up to Lior to see how far it goes.

YEAH um. Also he has Disengage which could be really useful for a battle but his Mana is also F so I'm not sure how that's gonna work. (But I figure it means he'll be able to almost-lose a fight and then reset it?) And he has an almost-sadness-powered flame power which I am going to enjoy.

So, who wants to fight? :')

Sweet! Yeah, Lioriley isn't super big on the fighting either, so that's definitely something they can do BD

Funny, a friend who is more familiar with SNK than I am said the exact same thing!

Waver's general approach is open information with any ally, and obscuring what's getting out to anyone who actually wants to fight and win the grail.

Yep, that's the truth! Armin really looks up to Erwin, to give you an idea or where that comes from. He admires people who are able to discard their humanity for the greater good... meanwhile Jean is the opposite, and believes that people should be told what they're dying for, even if the truth... sucks, to put it simply.

ah well, that's not so bad, at least. just a matter of staying on his good side, huh....

Waver will be honest about what everyone will be dying for, that I can promise. Of course it boils down to "a cup that's supposedly omnipotent but the last two times it was used in my timeline it basically fucked up, destroyed everything, and i ended up taking it apart with a friend so it couldn't be used anymore" so.

he's kind of a dick when he wants something (to make sure no one tries to actually use the grail), i'm so sorry.

Yeah, Jean will gladly get on the "let's destroy the cup" team in that case. HONESTLY THOUGH... Jean is a good soldier so he'll likely defer to his superior knowledge and all that. REALLY HE'S... used to dealing with assholes... since he is one too

I'm like pretty sure at this point 90% of destroy the cup team is "Well Meaning Assholes"

WAVER IS ALSO KIND OF CLOSE WITH HANGE SO THAT MIGHT INFLUENCE THINGS?

OH GOOD though jean may consider Hange to be mostly insane, he respects her rank at the very least. not like he has much choice

"these insults are only directed at you because we know you can do better" they're those people

jean's cynicism will probably keep him from trusting waver 100% but rest assured, that's just how he is with everyone.

waver is a professor in canon this is kind of what he does when students disappoint him

waver can roll with that, he can't blame anyone for being cynical about this situation

they should be just fine, i suspect!
