Ruby City Holy Grail War

PLOTTING POST

This is the plotting post for the Ruby City Holy Grail War event! Please use this area to partner up in master-servant pairs, and generally get some ideas flowing for the event.


Please be aware: we have exactly one master-to-servant right now, so you should be able to team up. If you haven’t found a partner by Thursday, please contact us, and we will employ the random number generator to pair you up.


The GoogleDocs Spreadsheet has all of our participants, everyone’s stats, and will be updated. When you have found your master-servant team, please contact Fel and Meg so they can add the information into the spreadsheet! This post on Waver’s journal is being used to keep an eye on threads, and will serve as an additional point to contact the mods, ask questions, etc.

SO WHO WANTS A QUESTIONABLY SANE ASSHAT FOR A MASTER.

As a note Caren's interest in the Grail will be purely academic; where she's from there were two completely different Grail Wars operating on completely different rules... which also means she may get them mixed up in this one. Assuming things go ahead, she will be joining her mother Claudia in declaring themselves the Overseers of this War; not participating to win but instead to react to Masters behaving badly by hitting them with a bigger stick. Her father played this role in a previous Grail War and it's kind of a Fate/In Joke.

...So yeah.

Also if you are A) male, B) a suffering child or C) magically evil there may be hilarity involved given Caren's personality and ability.

IF WAVER WAS NOT DEAD SET AGAINST ANYTHING WITH KOTOMINES INVOLVED I'D SIGN UP FOR THIS MASTER-SERVANT PAIR IN A HEART BEAT. HOWEVER, WAVER HAS PLANS ALREADY AND THIS WOULD END HIDEOUSLY.

also they should probably and seriously get in contact about how this grail war seems to be working, since she is familiar with the cards rather than what we're running on

I'd have to ask you to fill it in anyway since I'm not familiar enough with FF as is to know whether Sephiroth would set off her evil-pain-dar or not (the answer is 'probably yes' though which should result in some hilarity).

Would you like to do something with Kirei and Caren acting as overseers together? He really is mostly interested in what the War has to offer him in the way of amusement, which is kind of like having an academic interest.

I AM ALL UP FOR THIS though in Caren's case she would be taking the Overseer role seriously; as in, coming down on Team Interference when they start causing mayhem.

And using it as an excuse to play 'holier than though' when pestering other Masters.

Well, it does partially depend on how Avenger chooses to explain it (being Avenger), which is why I'm holding off on tags a little :'D

If you don't think Oz's, ah, slightly demonic nature would pose a barrier, a questionably-sane Master sounds like an excellent partner for an unpredictably crazy-bomb Servant to me. :D

Of course it probably also depends on whether Oz counts as a Bigger Stick.
