Ruby City Holy Grail War

PLOTTING POST

This is the plotting post for the Ruby City Holy Grail War event! Please use this area to partner up in master-servant pairs, and generally get some ideas flowing for the event.


Please be aware: we have exactly one master-to-servant right now, so you should be able to team up. If you haven’t found a partner by Thursday, please contact us, and we will employ the random number generator to pair you up.


The GoogleDocs Spreadsheet has all of our participants, everyone’s stats, and will be updated. When you have found your master-servant team, please contact Fel and Meg so they can add the information into the spreadsheet! This post on Waver’s journal is being used to keep an eye on threads, and will serve as an additional point to contact the mods, ask questions, etc.

But seriously, I have no plan for anything just yet so please plot with me on this?

As for Rip, she's used to following orders coming from a military background so it just depends on how she gets along with her Master on whether she's agreeable or trouble. ^^;

lol Well... Rip doesn't have anything she COULD wish for. So she doesn't care who gets it or who wants to destroy it. So, she is just going to try and cause as much trouble as she can for everyone?

Either way she's going to get to have her brand of fun in this!

So, I'm starting to think that Saber or Conrad having Rip as a servant could prove to be interesting.

Saber/Arturia/Actual King Arthur is on team 'dismantle this shit' and is going to be running her things akin to a military operation. Albeit, a medieval military operation bUT STILL.

The biggest problem with this is that Saber is also not afraid to use her command spells to demand obedience orrr if need be, to demand Rip to compromise herself and give up if she gets out of line. She'd... really rather not do that, though, and should they actually get along on a business level, it could turn out interesting apart from the fact Saber's allied with Integra. She will demand of both of them, very sternly, to work together if this happens, and she will take no shit.

On the other hand you have Conrad who... has no idea what this shit is, doesn't want the grail, and doesn't understand why he's caught up in this. On that side? it could turn out freaking hilarious.

UNLESS YOU HAVE PLANS BY NOW in which case disregard apart from the fact that Saber and Rip are likely to meet solely because Integra

Saber's prana is actually currently preeetty much limitless?

If Rip gets paired with Saber? She's going to be feeding off the prana of a dragon. Which could definitely be a Hella Benefit for Rip in terms of all those fights she's scheduled for.

.....I think that just sold me on teaming Rip up with Saber. So far, the only thing I have planned ARE those fights. Rip doesn't care who gets the grail or destroys it. She's in this purely for the carnage. And being forced to work with Integra will grate on Rip's nerves like you would not believe~.

It also means that Rip will probably try to fight Saber every step of the way and try to figure out ways to deter her from using the command spell [won't work but she'll try...] That, and Rip might actually benefit from the military structure once they do reach and understanding [eventually.]

Though, if teamed up with Conrad, Rip would have no problem attempting to talk him into doing things her way and pretty much cause chaos every which way to sunday. And cause hilarious/deadly results.



.....Come to think of it. Saber is probably one of the few people that might be able to handle all the insane shit/fighting around Rip during this. >.>; So... yay team up?

Saber will be reluctant to use her command spell not only because she believes in choice, but because they can also be used to assist your servant (in the case of them being to weak to use their noble phantasms on their own, for instance, a master can command them to do so.)

However, at some point it will become apparent that it may be necessary to command Rip's obedience, which... well. She is really going to hate. Like I said, she is ALL ABOUT CHOICE and doesn't exactly like what Rip stands for, but, well, she needs her servant's cooperation.

(also to be fair if Rip has the support of Saber's endless flipping prana she might stand a chance against Sephiroth.)

...in the end Saber is also not too keen on winning the war if it becomes necessary, so she will make it clear that if it comes to a certain point, one of her strategies is to find someone who can make the most unbiased wish (since in their world the grail is corrupt) and protect them... and of course, lose the war themselves.

Since she absolutely hates the suicide command, she is going to avoid this possibility as much as possible.

Stiiilllll, I am looking forward to this. Saber is definitely a militaristic leader and I think this is going to work out wonderfully- and she also has no problem sternly telling Integra and Rip to get over it for a hot second.

Rip will probably latch on to that hate about commanding her obedience and run with it once she realizes it. Rip's kinda horrible like that. Take away her choice? She will tear at you with her words and make you second guess yourself and hate yourself even more [Or try to anyway. Results may vary.]

[Also being able to stand a chance against Sephiroth is always a plus.]

And once they reach a 'mutual' agreement, Rip will probably do what she wants, though she's still going to hate working with Integra. but, in the end as long as she gets to fight, Rip will enjoy herself.

Luckily, Saber has much to bargain with: power for the duration of the war, and if Rip actually gives a shit, the ~humble request of a king~

(also honour and chivalry but I'm p sure Saber is the only one who cares about that sabes baby get a clue)
