G'day, Ruby City! It's time for a meme for both testdrivers and denizens.
Been itching to test out some CR but haven't had the posts to do it? Thinking of apping a character but not sure they'll fit in the city walls?

Directions:

1. Train Station: New arrival, or waiting to welcome people? Either way, the train comes in, but you still can't ride it out.


2. Cathedral: Looking for redemption? Just doing a little sight-seeing? Or just getting a little shelter?


3. The Clocktower: You can see the whole city from here!


4. The Black Stallion Saloon: You were told the burgers were great here-- but maybe you just came for the beer.


5. The Library: You came to do a little research, but it looks like all of the information's just out of your reach. Though, you can always find a way to pass the time here.


6. The Coffee Joint: Run by Lukas, a lovely place to have a chat and a bite to eat.


7. Le Cafe Anglais: A Parisian-British fusion that's as charming as it sounds and serves the best tea around.

Scenarios

1. Just walked in: You intended to get here, and you made your way in; but now someone's caught your eye and you'd like to have a chat.


2. Been here all day: You've been sitting around minding the time. Maybe you didn't notice them at first or maybe you were just working up the courage to talk-- either way, they know you're here and you know it too.


3. Inclement weather: You're here because you've gotten rained in. This wasn't your choice, but at least it's dry-- right?

Cathedral

[Like a moth to the flame, Sasha finds herself drawn to the vast structure - she walks in curiously, headed for the only person inside, taking off a wide-brimmed hat and sweeping fingers through her hair as she shakes out the ponytail, revealing too-pale skin and dark eyes.]

Excuse me...I seem to have gotten myself a bit lost. Do you know where the nearest graveyard might be? I thought it'd be near the cathedral, if anywhere.

[She smiles, a little awkwardly as she's obviously nervous about the environment, her self-control slipping enough to show a hint of fang.]

[ At the sound of footsteps, Charlotte finds herself turning around... only to be faced with... what appeared to be a vampire. A rather pretty vampire, too, to top it all off.

She doesn't act hostile, and as such neither does Charlotte... for the moment. Her fingers do, however, tighten around her Book of Binding. ]

...You're a vampire.

[ There's no bark to her bite, though. She's dealt with enough vampires in her young life as it is, and at least this one isn't acting... well, insane. Her guard is up and she's getting ready for an attack, just in case. ]

No, I have no idea. I've only just arrived.

[Sasha draws herself up, eyes widening - for a moment, her hand twitches toward her pocket, then she visibly controls herself, forcing a very fake, nervous smile.]

I-I don't know vhat you're talking about, I'm sure! There's no such thing as...ah...this isn't going to work, is it?

[There's resignation in her voice as the pale woman holds up both hands in a "you got me" gesture, smiling sheepishly.]

Promise I don't bite. I just saw that book, and something about it...ah...drew me. This whole damn cathedral seems to do that, actually. Keep finding myself wandering back over here.

[ Charlotte notices that. She sees that twitch but doesn't comment. ]

No, it's not. I've seen plenty of vampires before... except you don't seem like any of the ones I've met.

[ Which could or couldn't be a good thing. She's going to find out, though, she assumes. ]

It doesn't surprise me... [ She gives her Book of Binding a small pat, but doesn't elaborate. ] Maybe it's just the dark, creepy gothic feel of the place?
