[Event] Halloween~!

Hi there, Ruby City. It feels as if it’s been almost too long since anything positive has occurred in this place, doesn't it? Or maybe it’s just all that death and darkness that’s making it seem that way? Well not to worry, because it’s time for something lighthearted!

With Halloween just around the corner, and suggestions abound, it’s time for an interest post on the subject of a dance!

Specifically, on October 31, 2013, a Halloween dance will be held in the city. The host will be none other than the Doctor, and the venue will be the Black Stallion. We've seen that the playerbase has been talking about hosting a dance in the city, and naturally we are all for working together with you as your game mods in order to make everything run as smoothly as possible!

That having been said, there was another suggestion which led to us mods cooking up a little fun on the city’s side of things too, so this doubles as an interest post appealing to the players on this plot:

During the dance, there will be food and refreshments served, which includes tasty fruit punch. The punch is of course beautifully presented in a bowl and fountain, alluring to the eye and one simply can’t resist the call of such delicious juice, right?

Except that someone’s spiked the punch! Oh no! Instead of making your character drift off or anything like that though, we’d like to take your suggestions as to what the punch should do. Come up with an interesting, perhaps amusing effect that the punch might have on any character who drinks it, and comment on this post with it! We’ll be taking up to five effects for use in the event, so think up some good ones! On Thursday, October 24, 2013, we’ll close up the suggestions and either use the list we have or, if it’s too long, use the RNG to determine which suggestions we’ll implement for the event.

If it's a Masquerade party, maybe the punch makes the person more... suggestible, make them think they are what they're dressed as?

Seconding the masquerade idea, though I was thinking the punch can have different effects dependent on one's personality. Ex: a more reserved/withdrawn person would become more sociable, an outgoing person would feel more shy, a naturally flirtatious person would act more prudish and vice versa. Suddenly, you may despise your best friend, or become completely enamored by them.

I suggest that the punch straight up makes people turn into what they're dressed as. Dressed as a vampire? Suddenly, blood sounds delicious! Dressed as a cat? Wow, is that a fEATHER?

basically, shenanigans.

Also, it's probably spiked thanks to all these responsible adults we've got in this city so; drunk and a cat. oh boy.

We could have a set of different emotions being triggered by the punch. One has to roll the dice for to determine which he/she gets. Like Anger, Sadness, Happiness, etc.

OR:

Personality swap with a random person? That one could be resolved after someone guesses who you are behaving like. Like "Who am I?" the extreme version.

I know this is kinda Homestucky, but...Trickster Mode effect maybe. Trick or Treat! :V

...It's not like it would be every time lsdkfjs.

Basically the effect would be clothes and hair color-swap. Optionally you can put a dessert or something on your character's head because lol why the heck not. Tricksters are bright and colorful and have cheek swirlies.

As far as personality effects they'd be more manic and hyperactive. It's kind of like being drunk and sugar high at the same time. \owo/ (There's a crash/hangover afterwards but shh) SILLYTIMES.
