4. The Black Stallion Saloon: You were told the burgers were great here-- but maybe you just came for the beer.


5. The Library: You came to do a little research, but it looks like all of the information's just out of your reach. Though, you can always find a way to pass the time here.


6. The Coffee Joint: A lovely place to have a chat and a bite to eat.


7. Le Cafe Anglais: A Parisian-British fusion that's as charming as it sounds and serves the best tea around.

1. Just walked in: You intended to get here, and you made your way in; but now someone's caught your eye and you'd like to have a chat.


2. Been here all day: You've been sitting around minding the time. Maybe you didn't notice them at first or maybe you were just working up the courage to talk-- either way, they know you're here and you know it too.


3. Bad weather: You're here because you've gotten rained in. This wasn't your choice, but at least it's dry-- right?

[Normally Vergil would prefer the quiet. But with Dante, something about that is just inherently wrong. Especially when it looks like he might have gone too far. He stays silent for a while, not wanting to appear to care, or allow himself to. But dammit, he does. He hates it.

[Time, it seems, has gotten a little away from this particular visitor, or at least, it has if the now empty and largely abandoned teacup in front of him is any indication. Where his mind has wandered off to is really anyone's guess, but he's muttering quietly under his breath as he thinks, should anyone care to draw close enough to listen.

And if not, well, perhaps the fact that his apparent fashion sense skews more than a little to the Victorian will be enough to stand out.]

[Dante figured he'd reached the point of being a bit too obnoxious, so he was content to be silent if it meant he'd get to stick around a little longer. Besides, he had a lot to think about. As calmly as he's taking it, he's really not sure how to react to having his twin back. He'd wished for it for a long time, certainly, but it was never possible before.

Not he's just not really sure what to do.

He makes a surprised sound somewhere close to a laugh at the slap, just casting a curious glance over at Vergil. Then a slight smile, just a hint of one, easily missed if one were so inclined to want to ignore it.]

It's all right; I'm relieved to see I'm not the only one who thought to come here . . . even if it didn't do much good, in the end.

*She settles back into her chair, putting down the book she had been reading and rubbing her temples.*

As am I. What a waste of time. But this does suggest that whoever's behind this has an interest in keeping us in the dark. Perhaps the information we're looking for is hidden somewhere more secure.

It does certainly go a long way to explain why the city is well, so very odd, but that certainly doesn't mean he can't answer the question. After all, he's been wondering very much the same thing himself.]

[It's served him pretty well so far. Sure maybe he gets a little too attached, and he's a bit easy to manipulate with it, but in the end he's ended up with some very good friends and he wouldn't change that for the world. Besides, the sentimental part is what keeps him doing the right thing.]

[This incarnation of the Doctor has taken to wandering the city. Just because he hasn't anything past the slightest idea of where this is doesn't mean he can't take in the sights. Besides, maybe he'll manage to find somewhere that has decent tea.

Or at least, that's his intent until his feet start taking him back toward the train station. Seems there's something... interesting over there, and that's as good a place to start as any.]
