DEC. TEST DRIVE

It's that time again!

G'day, Ruby City!

Thinking of apping a character but not sure they'll fit in the city walls?

Have no fear, a meme for you is here.

Directions:

  • Post with your character with their name and canon on top!

  • Choose a location and prompt or wait for someone else to tag.

  • If you'd like, leave contact info for people to get in contact for plotting and other such shenans.

  • Tag around! Make friends. Don't be afraid to chat OOC while tagging.

Locations:

  1. Train Station: New arrival, or waiting to welcome people? Either way, the train comes in, but you still can't ride it out.

  2. Cathedral: Looking for redemption? Just doing a little sight-seeing? Or just getting a little shelter?

  3. The Clocktower: You can see the whole city from here!

  4. The Black Stallion Saloon: You were told the burgers were great here-- but maybe you just came for the beer.

  5. The Library: You came to do a little research, but it looks like all of the information's just out of your reach. Though, you can always find a way to pass the time here.

  6. The Coffee Joint: A lovely place to have a chat and a bite to eat.

  7. Le Cafe Anglais: A Parisian-British fusion that's as charming as it sounds and serves the best tea around.

Scenarios

  1. Just walked in: You intended to get here, and you made your way in; but now someone's caught your eye and you'd like to have a chat.

  2. Been here all day: You've been sitting around minding the time. Maybe you didn't notice them at first or maybe you were just working up the courage to talk-- either way, they know you're here and you know it too.

  3. Bad weather: You're here because you've gotten rained in. This wasn't your choice, but at least it's dry-- right?

  4. Wild card: Got something better in mind? Well screw these prompts, try it out yourself!

Have fun, guys!

[Trains were something of a terrible omen for the historian. Her brief experiences on the water-treading locomotive back in her world had been anything but enjoyable. As she awoke in the lavish train car, she could not help but feel as if she'd been taken back a few months in time. Eyes go wide with dread, wondering if she'd been dreaming the weeks away, only to be snapped back to the reality that she was soon to be taken through the Gate of Justice.

Yet, the location doesn't seem to have the same vibrant appearance. Rain doesn't patter against the windows, winds do not howl against the separation doors, and the black-suit clad guards do not block the entryways into the car. This is not the Sea Train she had rode so long ago. The sound of iron and steel grinding together to cease the motion of the vehicle rings aloud, still not enough to phase the uncommonly cool and composed Piratess.

Rising to her heels, she looks to the other side of the car and peers out into the unfamiliar city. She hurried to the door, opening the sliding entryway to the side and stepping out into the unfamiliar landscape.

If there is anyone in the vicinity of the Train Station, they will see the slender woman clad in black leather, looking about with a mixture of amusement and confusion at her present location.]

[November paid a certain amount of attention to the train station. If this city, or at least the travel to it, was a Gate-related phenomenon, he couldn't be the only Contractor drawn to it. Some may already be here, but no-one he recognized. Yet.

The woman isn't anyone he recognizes. But as he's here, he might as well be polite.

Just arrived?

[Her brow shifts upwards for a moment, before politely smiling and stopping before the gentleman.]

Yes. Although I'm not sure where I've just arrived. But I suppose there'd be no fun in certainty.

[Eyes scrutinize the finer details of the new location, scanning and studying what they can take in from the station and the kind fellow now conversing with her.]

I assume you know the name of this city, Sir?
