DEC. TEST DRIVE

G'day, Ruby City!
Thinking of apping a character but not sure they'll fit in the city walls?
Have no fear, a meme for you is here.
Directions:
- Post with your character with their name and canon on top!
- Choose a location and prompt or wait for someone else to tag.
- If you'd like, leave contact info for people to get in contact for plotting and other such shenans.
- Tag around! Make friends. Don't be afraid to chat OOC while tagging.
Locations:
- Train Station: New arrival, or waiting to welcome people? Either way, the train comes in, but you still can't ride it out.
- Cathedral: Looking for redemption? Just doing a little sight-seeing? Or just getting a little shelter?
- The Clocktower: You can see the whole city from here!
- The Black Stallion Saloon: You were told the burgers were great here-- but maybe you just came for the beer.
- The Library: You came to do a little research, but it looks like all of the information's just out of your reach. Though, you can always find a way to pass the time here.
- The Coffee Joint: A lovely place to have a chat and a bite to eat.
- Le Cafe Anglais: A Parisian-British fusion that's as charming as it sounds and serves the best tea around.
Scenarios
- Just walked in: You intended to get here, and you made your way in; but now someone's caught your eye and you'd like to have a chat.
- Been here all day: You've been sitting around minding the time. Maybe you didn't notice them at first or maybe you were just working up the courage to talk-- either way, they know you're here and you know it too.
- Bad weather: You're here because you've gotten rained in. This wasn't your choice, but at least it's dry-- right?
- Wild card: Got something better in mind? Well screw these prompts, try it out yourself!
Have fun, guys!
Re: The 10th Doctor | Doctor Who
[Eyes close as she silently smiles, letting a few moments pass before she turns and looks out in the buildings beyond them.]
Well, Doctor, I regret to be the one to inform you of your new home. Not much traveling to be done here, but it isn't the sort of place that will leave you out in the wild.
[Her smile seems to be hiding something, whether it be intentions or knowledge is of anyone's guess.]
You don't have the eyes of a thief, nor the manners of a pirate. Medicine isn't your primary focus, but you're quite knowledgeable of just how blood may be spilled.. Quite an interesting individual, aren't you?
Re: The 10th Doctor | Doctor Who
And how do you know all that, then, eh?
I've never met you in my life, and you seem to know a lot about my primary focus...
Re: The 10th Doctor | Doctor Who
Your body language as well. You're keeping your hands in your pockets, as if prepared to leap at a moments notice in case I might be of danger to you. Not to mention that look in your eyes..
[She's only a few inches from his face, looking at him dead on as their eyes connect.]
You've seen things.. Terrible things which words cannot do justice. You share the gaze that many men of the sea share, yet you seem to have a good handle upon such memories.
[She backs away, leaning against a close by pillar, arms crossing over her chest as she continued to watch him.]
I am no danger to you, Doctor. Rest assured my days as a hired killer are long gone, but it's hard to give up on old habits, wouldn't you agree?

Well, these hands and eyes have seen a few things, but there's one thing you've gotten wrong.
[He then pulls out his screwdriver from the inner pocket of his blazer and shakes it a bit, a smile growing on his face.]
Wrong pockets.

No one is perfect, Doctor.
[Brushing the hair from her cheeks, she lowers her gaze from him, no longer worried for her own safety. Lips part to drag in a long breath of chilled air, the visible oxygen leaving her lungs in a plume of mist as she exhales.]
My name is Robin. I'm an enthusiast of history and archaeology. The world where I come from is covered in water, and people and creatures alike eke out their living by setting to the sea in search of fame and fortune. A rather romantic world, wouldn't you say?

This girl was smart though, he would give that to her. She had companion potential.]
Quite right too. All good things to be enthusiastic about. Not sure about the water bit, though.

[A suggestive smirk forms on the corner of her lips, raising an eyebrow on the same side as she looks into the Doctor's eyes once more.]
An insatiable thirst for adventure, a lack of concern for death and knowing that at any moment your candle could be snuffed out, a desire to fill your lungs with salt and your stomach with worry.. It's an item list of what it takes to make it out there.
Tell me, Doctor, do you ever thirst for adventure? Does danger beat upon your back like the rising sun?
no subject
Adventure, excitement. What more is there?

[She kicks off the wall, coming to her feet and walking over to him. Hands tug at the bottom of her dress, pulling the fabric tighter as her hips rock back and forth in stride.]
There are those who choose the sea, and then there are those chosen by the sea. It's a call that is difficult to ignore, I will attest.
If you do need help settling in, please, don't hesitate to ask. I'm not much for a tour guide but it is nice to have a helping hand when getting accustomed. Or two.. or twenty.

No. Not dull. Fascinating, maybe, but not dull. Least I don't think so.

A life filled with nothing but lounging and reading sounds like paradise compared to a life on the run. It's worth the pursuit, for certain.
My offer still stands, by the way. It really depends on what kind of landscape you enjoy, however.
