Thinking of apping a character but not sure they'll fit in the city walls?

1. Train Station: New arrival, or waiting to welcome people? Either way, the train comes in, but you still can't ride it out.


2. Cathedral: Looking for redemption? Just doing a little sight-seeing? Or just getting a little shelter?


3. The Clocktower: You can see the whole city from here!


4. The Black Stallion Saloon: You were told the burgers were great here-- but maybe you just came for the beer.


5. The Library: You came to do a little research, but it looks like all of the information's just out of your reach. Though, you can always find a way to pass the time here.


6. The Coffee Joint: A lovely place to have a chat and a bite to eat.


7. Le Cafe Anglais: A Parisian-British fusion that's as charming as it sounds and serves the best tea around.

1. Just walked in: You intended to get here, and you made your way in; but now someone's caught your eye and you'd like to have a chat.


2. Been here all day: You've been sitting around minding the time. Maybe you didn't notice them at first or maybe you were just working up the courage to talk-- either way, they know you're here and you know it too.


3. Bad weather: You're here because you've gotten rained in. This wasn't your choice, but at least it's dry-- right?

Lightning! You're here too? Yeah, I'm lookin' for Serah. We were in the gate but somehow she didn't arrive with me. This place doesn't look like Gran Pulse though...

Did we land somewhere else in time?

I don't know what you're talking about, but this isn't Gran Pulse. This is Ruby City.

But we just saw you in Val...halla...

[She's not wearing her armor and feathers. Why?]

You haven't gone to Valhalla. [He almost finished it with "not yet" but managed to bite his tongue. If she hadn't gone then that either meant the timeline truly was fixed or the paradox never occurred.]

When I serve Etro... {So he's from the future. Lightning relaxes her guard a little.} Fang told me. I just woke up from Crystal Stasis.

{She nods towards the city.} This city isn't connected to Gran Pulse or Cocoon. It just brings us here on the train.

{And it's confusing, she knows.}

Serah isn't here. It's only Fang and I from our world.

[Well, that explained things. And saved him the trouble of trying to figure out if it would be a good idea to tell her the future. Still, at least Lightning wasn't as suspicious about him anymore.]

It's not? I guess that explains how I got from the Historia Crux to the train without remembering... but why only me? Serah and I were both there and-

[He broke off with a frustrated sigh. He just wanted to make sure she was still okay. What if she had a vision and he wasn't there? He couldn't do anything either way but still.]

[That was actually a relief. That meant that he'd still be there when they made it to Academia. He sighed and then followed her down the platform.]

Blend in? Exactly how am I suppose to do that? Never lived in a city before.

Never? {Oh boy.} You'll catch on soon enough. I guess I can give you a tour. Everything is for free, so don't worry about currency and there are free rooms in some of the buildings.

We kind of didn't have them from when I'm from. [He made a surprise sort of huff.] Really? That's awfully convenient.

Made what decisions? On who gets here and stuff?

Exactly. We have no control who comes here or who stays. {Which is aggravating as hell.} All we can control is how we react.
