[It's nice to see her around! But for someone who hasn't any idea about these Christmas traditions, she's not too sure what all the hanging berries are for.]

YES, OH MY GOD.

[ceded]

[ Unfortunately for both of them, Xion's not super clear on it, either. She's got a general idea of what Christmas is supposed to be, but its not like a run-down of the major holidays was included in her education. So she fails to pay much attention to the mistletoe as she waves and trots over to her friend. ]

Hi, Katherine! What's--

[ .... oh, she's stuck. Pauses, blinking. ]

pERFECT

[--Huh? What's up with Xion?]

...What's wrong? Did something happen?

[What's she stopped for?]

[ Ohhhhhh no.

Xion makes a face that involves scrunching her eyes shut and wrinkling her nose and sighing quietly. ]

Can you do me a favor and, um. Look up?

[She does, and upon further inspection finds she has absolutely no idea what that plant is or what it's for.]

Is it-- has it got some sort of spell on it?

I'm pretty sure. This isn't the first time I've gotten stuck under it. [ DEEPLY SOULFUL SIGH. ] Do you know what it is?

I can't say I do. I've never seen a plant like that-- and I know of many plants.

How do you break the spell?

[Waver's staring up keeping his eyes on the ceiling, and not looking where he's walking. He does however, feel himself bump into another body.]

Sorry I-- [He takes a beat to look down, and then looks terribly embarrassed.] Xion, my apologies.

ps, how did you know this sort of thing is my weakness.

[ Xion stumbles a little, glancing up at him. ]

Waver? ... what are you doing?

Taking careful steps in regards to the ceiling, but clearly not in regards to the floor.

The ceiling? Why? [ She glances up, then back down at him, tilting her head curiously. ]

Mistletoe? [ Xion pauses, frowning. Obviously trying to recall if she actually knows what that is or not. ] Why? What's so bad about it?

So I heard someone wanted awkward mistletoe kisses

[crowsicle]

[It's not even clear whether or not Davesprite is awake. The cold makes him a slow starter. He's just kind of floating aimlessly around, bundled up, eyes probably closed if all the partially phasing through walls and doors is any indication.

Oh hey looks like his favorite heat source. Beep beep peep, feathermonster incoming at glacial speeds.]

I DIDN'T SAY IT. BLAME MEG.

[ She's getting sort of used to muzzy, blurry Davesprite in the mornings. Or afternoons. Or whenever he actually gets up.

So when she spots the floating feathery bundle making its way toward her, she giggles and meets him halfway, deftly threading a hand inside of the blanket (and the hoodie he's got on beneath it) to cup his cheek. ]

Hi, sleepyhead.

OH I DO.

[crowsicle]

Mmmmmrrrmnl.

[He leans his head into her hand and then turns a little to sort of butt his forehead against her palm. The crow is more awake than the boy, and the bird wants headpets.]

Mrrning.

good. everything is meg's fault. (i love you meg.)

[ She laughs again. She is just so fond of him. Even when "him" refers more to a fussy crow than a fussy boy.

Obligingly she cards her fingers into his hair, though doing so pushes blanket and hoodie back a little more. With a hum she tips forward, leaning in to press her forehead against his. ]

I should have known you'd still be asleep.

[crowsicle]

'Mmwake.

[He swings his fingers a couple times in front of his face, and then he finally catches the edge of his shades and tips them a centimeter down his nose. He opens one eye to look at her, as if to say, 'See?' And then, as he tilts his head up again to nose at her hand, he sees the little sprig of green and white above their heads and pauses.]

[ Davesprite looking at her, actually looking at her with his shades partially pushed down and one of those candy bright orange eyes of his peeping up at her, does something funny to her chest that she tries to pretend isn't actually happening.

So she's a tiny bit distracted, not catching on to the fact that he's abruptly paused for another few seconds. Once she does, she stands straight, tilting her head, and then looks up. ]

... what is that?

[Eren sort of sheepishly rubs the back of his neck]

Haaa... what a weird tradition, huh? I wonder how it got started...

[ Staring up at the mistletoe, sighing forlornly. ]

I dunno. I still don't know that much about it, and I'm starting to lose track of how many times I've been stuck under it.

[ She looks down at him with a crooked, sheepish smile. ] So, um...

[greatrage]

Well, it doesn't help that someone thought it'd be a good idea to put some pretty much... everywhere. It's like it's growing from the ceiling. I think I know whose bright idea it might have been... and I'm going to play "connect the dots" with his freckles the next time he's asleep. [he laughs again, just as sheepish as her, rubbing at his arm nervously]

So... I guess... tradition is tradition, right? But it doesn't have to be a kiss on the lips... unless you want it to be...

[ SHE CAUGHT THAT

and her eyes go wide. ]

Unless I ... want it to?

[ Blinks a few times, staring at him. ]

... do ... do you?

[greatrage]

Uh! Well... you know... [he looks up, rubbing the back of his neck] I wouldn't... complain... or anything... [GOD HE"S SO BAD AT THIS]
