{Snorting, she moves away to get a drink. Don't make this awkward, Fang. Now she feels nervous too. Too bad this drink isn't stronger.}

[She's totally making this awkward. She's the queen of it. In fact, she is the embodiment of awkward in this very moment. So much so, that she now has to go and get another refill. How many had it been now? ten? She still didn't feel a thing. Bloody drinks weren't as strong as Oerban alcohol.]

{She glances at her, arching a brow.} Are you going to faint?

[She looks down idly at the drink. She couldn't have known. Even if it were it barely effected her.]

You don't seem drunk. {So maybe something else is intoxicating her? Lightning takes a long sip from her drink.}

Its gonna take a lot more than that.

{Now she's curious. She searches the table for the alcohol.}

Wh-...Light? Light, what are you doing? [Don't tell her she's-]

{She finally finds the bottle and uncorks it, holding it out.}

Does it have an effect on you?

Light, the alcohol here barely does much unless I drink enough to level Titan himself. [Kind of an over-exaggeration, but you get the picture.]

I'm fine. What's gotten into you?

I have never seen you acting shy. {It has to be the alcohol, right?} It's either this or something else?

Then let's assume it's something else entirely. [She rolls her eyes before concealing her soft smile with her cup. Bless this woman for trying to understand. It was the cutest thing in the world.]

What - {She presses her lips together, halting her own question.} Alright.

{She doesn't get it.}

[Goddess, she was going to have a hard time explaining this one. Letting out a slow breath, she lowers her cup.]

Because I didn't want someone distracting me from taking care of Serah. {So she had toughened herself inside and out.} I was worried I would lose her.

You can't keep yourself away from it forever, you know. Serah...[She hesitates, but only for a second. Enough time to cover it up.] has Snow, right? Wasn't Hero gonna marry her?

[She had to remind herself that from Lightning's standpoint, the two could have been frozen in time in an embrace on the Archylte Steppe. For her, it was a much different reality.]
