Time for something fun!
Need a little pick me up? Or just feel like playing something really stupid? It's time for a meme.
The Magical Swap Meme
or the 'oops, you done fucked up' meme
courtesy of Luc*
Directions
- Post your character with the name/canon in the subject meme. In your comment, put your preferences such as, "I don't want to do prompt #1" or "for the gender swap prompt, [character] will look like [this]" or "for the age swap prompt, my character will be 5 years younger".
- Tag each other and have fun.
- Body Swap: Holy shit. You're looking at yourself like you're looking in a mirror. The only problem is, when you're looking down at your own hands... you're in someone else's body.
- Gender Swap: Well, this is new; you're now no longer in the right body, but it's still yours. Were you always a girl? You sure weren't yesterday. Of course, this is probably another one of the city's tricks; no point in getting all up in arms about it, is there?
- Age Swap: Are you starting to see a pattern here? Now you're younger-- or older-- than you were a little while ago. Who're you going to bug about your height now?
- Canon Swap: Your entire history is different now. Suddenly, you're a homestuck. Or maybe you're an elf. Or perhaps you're not even switching canons with the person you're threading with. What's the damage?
- Power Swap:...Like the one above, but with powers instead of canons.
- Moral Alignment Swap: Suddenly, you're evil as hell. Or maybe you're really good now. Or maybe your moral alignment is "eh /non-commital wiggly hand gesture". I don't make the rules here, bucko.
- Luc, you didn't include this swap I wanted to do!: Well look at you, you have a bigger imagination than I do. What are you waiting for? Swap it. Just swap it. Do it, before it's too late.
You now have four minutes to save the world.**
*If it's a bad meme, it wasn't my idea.
**You do not have four minutes to save the world. In fact, there's really no point in worrying about world saving right now.
Diarmuid Ua Duibhne (Lancer) | Fate/Zero
I...have too many Diarmuid journals...]
I can't resist this chance ok, genderswap
It's only right to take a moment to investigate what's going on, so the young king goes to check on any friends she can find-- starting with anyone who may be at the Spiral school.]
Diarmuid? Are you in?
What fun is resisting?
He moves slightly on the cat walk near the loft. It's a mistake, though, because the cat walk shifts and gives out suddenly, sending Diarmuid tumbling to the floor. Of course, being a Lancer, he lands well, but...well now there is no hiding is there?
Golden eyes peek up at Saber through long wavy, dark hair as Diarmuid pulls himself to his feet.]
Saber... I'm not even going to try and explain this...
[How does one explain suddenly becoming female anyway?]
No fun at all
That explains the issue on the network.]
I suppose you won't have to; it seems you're not the only one.
no subject
[Diarmuid starts to cross his arms over his chest and pauses when they brush against the new 'additions' to his chest. He frowns and then lets his arms drop, crossing at his waist instead.]
It is just men who are being changed or are women being changed as well?
[Because if Saber herself has changed, he sure can't tell...]
no subject
It would seem the effects have befallen most everyone in the city. There really is quite a commotion over it.
[Sighing, she shakes her head.]
That's the only issue you've encountered, I assume? No loss of power, or any other such thing?
no subject
It depends on how you define 'loss of powers.' As shown by that little fall and somewhat less than graceful recovery, my agility is not quite A+ at the moment. However, I blame that more on the fact that I don't know this body as well as I know my real one than I do on any power loss.
What about you? Have you or someone else noticed power loss? Is that why you ask?

double age swap?
Lancer? Are you here?
[Mordred is here to check on her friend and see if this strange plague that reduced so many people to children has affected Lancer too.]
Yes! :-D
[A small dark head peeks out of one of the extra bedrooms on the school's lower floor. No matter how much Diarmuid has thought about it, there is just no way his new very child-sized form is going to get him up to the loft where he usually sleeps.
At least he's not the only one who seems to have...shrunk.]
What is going on?
no subject
[As a child, she seems much calmer than she is as an adult.]
I do not know what is actually going on, but something seems to have reduced us to...miniature size.
[And it's not something she's used to, since she grew up too quickly to ever remember being a child.]
no subject
Don't even ask about his normal armor. There is no way a child is wearing that.]
Is this a trick of the overseers? Is that it? What is the point of doing something like this?
[For all that Mordred is calmer, there seems to be more curious energy around Diarmuid now. At least they balance each other out?]
no subject
[The corners of her lips twitch when she sees the way way Diarmuid's clothes are hanging off of him.]
Though...before we figure that out, perhaps we should seek better fitting garments and weapons.
no subject
Wouldn't it be better just to stay here until this wears off? It can't be too long, right?
[Knowing the overseers, though... Diarmuid seems to realize this and sighs, his little shoulders jerking.]
There is one other problem, but if you are in here I guess it is solved.
[His voice gets really soft.]
I couldn't reach the handle to open the door...

AGE SWAP YEAH also i have no older!dami account OTL
His head still throbs from where he'd cracked it against one of the lower loft beams, a small clip of white medical tape pressed over his brow. He spends the better part of an hour adjusting to the changes; limbs, coltish and long, constantly overreaching to knock into things, the vertigo when he stands up and finds his perspective has sharply changed, and none of his clothes fit.
Damian helps himself to Grayson's wardrobe, the boy (ha, he thinks, boy) and he swapping clothes for the time being. Dick attempts, of course, to maintain some semblance of responsibility and maturity (even as Damian, smugly, smirks down at him and enjoys the lower rumble of his own voice as he quips about weather down there). Within the hour both of them have switched gear and are winging out of the house to make the rounds and ensure nobody has run into trouble in the wake of this event.
(Todd is absolutely screening their contact, and Damian is also determined to find and harass him because finally, the tables have turned.)
He's jumping between roof tops, adapting quickly to the new ins and outs of his body, when he spies a small boy perched on a chimney across the way; changing course, he's quick to cross the next gap, approaching the child.]
Hey - you alright?
no subject
An adult probably shouldn't ether, but that is a concern for later. Who knows how long he is going to be like this?]
Damian?
[Diarmuid holds out a hand toward the boy, sleeve falling over his hand to hide it. He makes a small sound of annoyance, before pushing it back again.]
It's me, Diarmuid.
no subject
[ He almost trips in surprise, but swiftly corrects his footing. Christ, he is small. Smaller even than Damian is, normally. When Diarmuid holds out a hand to him, he crosses the rooftop to stand next to the chimney, squinting down at the smaller version of his mentor with interest. ]
You definitely shrank. Do you still have your powers, or did you climb up here?
no subject
[And, as if to prove to Damian he did just that, Diarmuid hops off the chimney and starts trying to climb Damian himself.]
You got really tall! I bet Dick and Jason are not happy...
[Namely because he is sure that Damian is rubbing it in their faces.]
no subject
(a hand, hovering at his back, ready to catch, just in case)
--but tolerating it, for the time being. ]
I did, in fact, get tall. And Grayson is very short.
[ There's a smirk playing at his lips. Of course he rubbed it in Dick's face. ]
Todd is hiding from us, but we'll find him soon enough.
...Are you even able to get down from here?
no subject
[It seems while Diarmuid has his memories of being an adult, several of his childhood traits are bleeding through. He makes it up to Damian's head and braces himself there, before throwing out his hands.]
I'm the king of the Damian!

So, Miles had been wandering for quite a while. He still wasn't sure how he managed to get to this strange city in the first place. And he needed to find his way home otherwise Dad would be very worried about him!
All Miles could do was find a telephone box and call home, right?
The only question was where he could find a telephone box. Because he certainly could not see any sign of one down this street.
No time to panic just yet. There must be one somewhere....
Right?]
no subject
Diarmuid smiles and waves at the other boy before running up to him.]
Do you know how to get the fairy box open? I need to talk to them. My father is going to worry about me if I don't go home soon!
That pokemon icon is making me squee!
Doctor Who, he thinks it's called...
Then he processes what the boy has said.]
Wait a minute, you're looking for your dad too? Where did you last see him?
It's one of my favorites. :-D
[Being a smartarse only works if the person who you are being a smartarse at knows enough to realize it and Diarmuid does not.]
I...don't remember where I last saw him. I woke up in a strange building not far from here and I left to try and find him.
[He points back at the box again.]
That is why I was going to ask the fairies if they knew what I have to do to find him. When someone ends up in a strange place, it is usually their doing!
