Hello Ruby City~ I'm Elemental, Elem for short, and I'm bringing the lovely (television) Mrs Addams to shuffle through the city in a very tight skirt and hopefully make friends who won't run away. It's been a good 3 years since I've been in a game, so I'm rusty, but Jess has been gleeing about you for so long I just had to check it out.

I've compiled the basics about Morticia here, including a note for magic/supernatural sensing types I'd appreciate if you checked out.

Also to note: Morticia speaks quite a few languages, including Japanese and German, so she may surprise those who are used to cursing in their native tongue.

I'd prefer not to be fourth walled, but! The Addams Clan is a big one, they've had strange mentions and crossovers in media, and it is completely possible your character may have met (or ran from, or chased) an Addams in their past. If you'd like to have a History with the family outside of Morticia herself, I'd love to play off of that!

Well, this should be interesting.

I am a different Jess, playing Alastor from Devil May Cry and Viewtiful Joe. He is a friendly demon who sports a pair of bat wings and a spaded tail (most of the time). He's also spent quite a while living literally in the movies, so he might have actually visited the Addams Family setting or one of its many crossovers! If so, though, he will refrain from telling her just where he met her relatives.

That would be lovely re: meeting relatives. And goodness, Morticia is going to think he's gorgeous. I can't wait for them to meet!

Well, he kind of is~ He knows it, too, although complementing his wings is a surefire way to flatter him.

I also established a while back that he's working on some lovely wolfman bone furniture if she'd like something to customize wherever she ends up living~

You will make her a fast friend with proper furniture offerings. I suspect Morticia's going to have trouble decorating to her tastes here.

Yeah, Alastor knows the feeling. His own tastes tend to run a bit gothic thanks to growing up in the underworld. (In his other game, he has servants that are literally animated statues made out of blood and shaped like hippogriffs and he thinks they make wonderful ambiance.)

The right sort of servants are just so hard to find! Morticia is really going to miss Lurch as much as the rest of the family. Maybe she can just find someone to hire...

This is where ancient blood rituals to create profane abominations of magic come in handy. Unfortunately, Alastor's kind of a free spirit and would really make a terrible housekeeper, so he can't offer.

And Mr Addams is the one with the bankroll and is out of the city, which means Morticia can't pay him handsomely for his work even if he was offering.

Clearly, the moment a blood ritual for a domestic servant is possible, Morticia is signing up. She'll bring cupcakes! Cauliflower and meringue anyone?

If she can get him a statue of high enough quality, he's all for it! Those particular constructs are capable of duplication, too, so once you have one...you won't have to worry about manpower.

The downside is that they're completely lacking in independent will and thus only do things they're told to (unless you name them and give them an identity), but it's good enough for menial tasks and guard duty!

She can work with that. Lurch technically had a personality when the writers remembered but he mostly just stood around and answered the door/phone and did the heavy lifting.

These things can't talk (though they can vocalize), but they're very good for physical tasks. Nearly indestructible, too!

I'm Fox, and I play this weird French nobleman, as well as an overly earnest soldier (Marlowe Freudenberg, Attack on Titan), and a fussy professor of magic (Kayneth Archibald, Sensha Otoko). I look forward to playing with you!

Oh, and Gilles is canonically (and historically) wrapped up with black magic later in his life, so if you wanted to do an Addams history thing with that, we could! If not, that's all right, though.

Nice to meet you, Fox! Giles should totally have been involved with Addamses. Not sure how his history plays out that it'd be a good or bad interaction, but Morticia would love to hear about her ancestors. Some of them still come around for Halloween!

He might well have been, if they had a French branch of the family in the 15th Century! He was eventually killed by the Church, but he's currently very devout. (He's secretly interested in witchcraft, though.)

If she had English ancestors, he might have been less well disposed toward them, as he comes from the time of the Hundred Years' War.

Hrm. I figure the Addams have family on both sides of any line, and there were likely Addams at any battleground - either running away, stealing bodyparts, or charging headfirst into battle and coming out unscathed every time. Is it something you'd be interested in playing out? I can think of a few ways he'd know her surname, and maybe seeing her being creepy would have him connect the two.

Heck, if she says she's a time traveller and has met Morticia 'somewhere' even, that's fine, Morticia certainly wouldn't be that surprised. I'm Sceadu, and I play Xemnas (seen here) and The Eighth Doctor (calmbefore). Xemnas wouldn't have run into any of the Addams clan, I don't think, but I know that Eight is mentioned to have traveled with Mary Shelley (before she wrote Frankenstein) so it's entirely possibly that he might at least have heard of the family.

I'd be pleased as punch if Eight's met some of the family, a vacation interrupted by Fester, him freeing Cousin Itt from a carnival while chasing vampires, feel free to embellish as much as you'd like. (I totally feel like the Doctor or Torchwood would have crossed paths with the Addams, trying to figure out if they were at fault for some local chaos or just innocent bystanders who are also weird as all get out.)
