1. Train Station: New arrival, or waiting to welcome people? Either way, the train comes in, but you still can't ride it out.

2. Cathedral: Looking for redemption? Just doing a little sight-seeing? Or just getting a little shelter?

3. The Clocktower: You can see the whole city from here!

4. The Black Stallion Saloon: You were told the burgers were great here-- but maybe you just came for the beer.

5. The Library: You came to do a little research, but it looks like all of the information's just out of your reach. Though, you can always find a way to pass the time here.

6. The Coffee Joint: A lovely place to have a chat and a bite to eat.

7. Le Cafe Anglais: A Parisian-British fusion that's as charming as it sounds and serves the best tea around.

Train Station

[it's time for the new people to roll in and so there is a young girl in a school uniform holding one slightly bloody baseball bat at the train station and looking confused. this wasn't exactly what Aki expected when she walked out of the shrine to find the last sacrifice! where the heck was everyone?]

Mister Onigawara? Novella! Did the school warp again...?

[...well, whatever! if that was the case, then all she had to do was track down Sohta or Tohma and sacrifice them and then Misao's curse would be broken. let's get down to the library, wherever it was. Novella was always there, so Aki could get some help.]

Hmm... So I'm going to require these types of parts, and then...

*He overhears someone entering the library. This warrants him looking up for a bit, but he goes right back to the book.*

This shouldn't be too difficult... The flash bulbs might be an issue though...

[this was new! in addition to a bigger library, there was also a boy here too! she didn't recognize him but it was possible that there might have been some kids who hadn't been killed by the monsters from the curse.

putting on a big smile, Aki walks up to him.]

Hello. Can I have a second?

Hmm?

*He looks up. An unfamiliar face; ah, was it Sunday already? Or maybe he's just never run into her around town before. Well, she's asking for help, so he might as well provide.*

[perfect! hopefully she could get to the bottom of this or at least find Novella or Onigawara.]

I'm not quite sure where I am right now so I was wondering if you could give me a hand! I have something super important to do back in my school and it'd be great if I could get back.

[like now. those sacrifices wouldn't beat themselves to death, you know!]

*Oh, is it his turn to explain this? He sighs, closing his book.*

Unfortunately, you won't be able to get back. Anybody who tries only finds the ends of this island, and past that an abyss. And the train never takes anybody on a return trip. Thankfully, if this place does let you leave, you'll return right back at the point you were taken from with no memory of this place. So whatever your urgent business is, it will wait for your return.

*He smiles a little grimly.*

[she frowns at that. oh no, Misao wouldn't be too happy about that. even with the knowledge that everything would be the same whenever she got back, it still bothered Aki.

but the frown is gone in minutes. well, she'd just have to find a way back or convince this place to let her leave soon!]

[she leans on her baseball bat, thinking. if that was the case, Tohma and Sohta were probably not here either. and if this really was another world that wasn't the other, other world that she had been in minutes before then probably...

Well, what kind of things happen here? We're here for a reason, right? Like a curse or something?

There's always a chance they might show up sometime. This place tends to take whoever it wants from whenever it wants. It's peculiar like that.

*What a strange name, though. "Novella."*

As for what happens here? Strange things, sometimes. Whether from the residents or from the people in charge. Nobody really knows why we're here, to be honest. You are the first person to suggest a curse, I will admit.

[oh, that meant Misao could come here too! and...everyone else, but let's not focus on that.]

That's great! But if it's not a curse, I wonder why we're here. That's what usually happens when people are warped to somewhere else, isn't it?

I wouldn't know, on account of not having been teleported anywhere in my life before I showed up in Ruby City.

Tee-hee, I guess not! It's just stuff that happens in books. But I'm really curious why we're here now. It's a little weird.
