4. The Black Stallion Saloon: You were told the burgers were great here-- but maybe you just came for the beer.

5. The Library: You came to do a little research, but it looks like all of the information's just out of your reach. Though, you can always find a way to pass the time here.

6. The Coffee Joint: A lovely place to have a chat and a bite to eat.

7. Le Cafe Anglais: A Parisian-British fusion that's as charming as it sounds and serves the best tea around.

[There could be any number of reasons that Jim's communicator isn't working. The pelting rain might be one of them. He climbed to the top of the clock tower, holding the device as high up as it would go, as if elevation would make a difference. He was an optimist, so hey, it was worth a try! But in the end, all he got was a little winded from climbing all those stairs, and a lot of static.]

[So he descends back to the streets, and it isn't long before he's wiping rainwater off of his forehead, wishing whoever thought it was a good idea to dump him on a train would have given him an umbrella instead of a pocketwatch. He's lost, confused, and a little on the grumpy side...but hey, this is technically part of the five-year mission, right? He's boldly gone where no one has gone before. He just wishes he had some of his crew with him, since it's not exactly smart for a captain to visit some foreign planet without an away team.]

[Once more, he flips open his comm and looks skyward, flinching at the rain.]

Captain Kirk to the bridge. Anyone there?

[Spock? Bones? Uhuru?]

*A deep and twisted voice calls down from a nearby rooftop, though its owner is conspicuously out of sight.*

Probably not. Unless that thing's capable of communicating across different dimensions.

[Zack had been there before but instead of working on an escape, he was lucky to be alive. The rain didn't dampen his spirits even though his fire lizard protests, scoffs and takes flight. With one hand on his hip and the other is raised and points at the grumpy, bright green mini-dragon.]

Well, you could at least be a little nicer, grouch.

[With a sigh he shrugs and shakes his head before turning around to address the newcomer.]

Sorry, but calling home isn't on the daily list. Name's Zack.

[His eyes seem to almost glow a little in the dimness and his smile is equally as bright.]

[Yuna is walking through the rain with a closed umbrella in her hand. She had been forced to take it with her but she doesn't want to use it. She enjoys the feeling of the rain.

Its nice to walk with no one around. She puts her fingers between her lips and whistles. After a few seconds she lets out a depressed sigh and continues on her walk.

As her eyes scan the street and she sees someone staring at the sky. Yuna runs over and places the umbrella over his head. It isn't going to stop the fact that he is already wet but she hopes the kind gesture would cheer him up.]

You alright?

[He looks like he's in distress and most likely new.]

[On a normal day, Blake would have been found in the library anyway. A trove of information interested her, and it was a place away from prying eyes. She could sit in peace for a while. Rain, however, kept her from leaving any time soon. Blake looked up at the window, watching the rain streaming down the glass, then back over the library.]

[At least she had a book to read. Her eyes flicked back to the book in her hands, staying aware of those around her]

Train Station

[it's time for the new people to roll in and so there is a young girl in a school uniform holding one slightly bloody baseball bat at the train station and looking confused. this wasn't exactly what Aki expected when she walked out of the shrine to find the last sacrifice! where the heck was everyone?]

Mister Onigawara? Novella! Did the school warp again...?

[...well, whatever! if that was the case, then all she had to do was track down Sohta or Tohma and sacrifice them and then Misao's curse would be broken. let's get down to the library, wherever it was. Novella was always there, so Aki could get some help.]

Hey Blake!

[Blake would've suddenly found Yang dropping down into the seat next to her with a 'fwump', several books in her arms from a variety of subjects that Yang wasn't actually interested in and probably would never read. She just liked the covers!]

Whatcha reading? Anything good? It sucks about the rain, doesn't it?

[The blonde so would've rather been outside doing something. Anything.]

Hmm... So I'm going to require these types of parts, and then...

*He overhears someone entering the library. This warrants him looking up for a bit, but he goes right back to the book.*

This shouldn't be too difficult... The flash bulbs might be an issue though...

[this was new! in addition to a bigger library, there was also a boy here too! she didn't recognize him but it was possible that there might have been some kids who hadn't been killed by the monsters from the curse.

putting on a big smile, Aki walks up to him.]

Hello. Can I have a second?

[A cursory look at the stack in her arms let her know that Yang had chosen based on covers. Blake smiled a little over her book, lowering it slightly]

I should be asking you the same questions.

[It wasn't long before the door opened and Aradia scurried in, shaking her head rapidly as if that would make her hair less soaked (it didn't). She's in good spirits, though, despite the weather.]

Phew! Of all the days to forget my umbrella.

[As she's wringing out her hair, though, she notices someone sitting not too far away that she's never met before. Curious, she approaches the girl.]

The weather's crazy today, huh?

[Yang just smirked and flipped over the first book she was holding.]

I am reading...a 'treatise on classical wartime psychology'?...hrm. [It had a really awesome picture of cavalry warfare on the front. Yang sighs and tosses it onto an empty chair, grabbing the next one, which had a bunch of cartoon animals on it.]

Or maybe I'm reading...'The Corruption of Childhood'...yeah, no. [Toss. and now, the last book, which has a picture of a SUPERNOVA on it.] This one is...a chemistry textbook.

[She groans and tosses it with the others, then grins sheepishly at Blake.]

Well, my afternoon just got freed up! What are you reading?

[For a moment, Blake was about to answer her shortly until she actually saw Aradia.]

[And the gray skin]

[Her mouth opened slightly as her bow twitched] Yes. It's certainly... wet.

[Somehow, she wasn't surprised. Blake let the small smile linger on her lips as she put her book down]

A book on old fairy tails. I was reading one about a mermaid. I think you might like it.

[As usual, Aradia failed to notice anything awkward about her reaction. Instead she hopped up onto the chair next to Blake's, or more accurately onto the armrest, because using chairs properly is for losers.]

Haha, you can say that again! [She grinned brightly.] I don't think we've met? I'm Aradia.

*He looks up. An unfamiliar face; ah, was it Sunday already? Or maybe he's just never run into her around town before. Well, she's asking for help, so he might as well provide.*

Why? [She twisted around on the chair so she was sitting in it sideways, folding her legs in front of her.]

Is it full of action and adventure?

[Yang's grin is a tad self-depreciating, easily willing to make fun of herself, it seems.]

[Aradia was so... happy. And open. And what was she? Blake looked over at her sitting on the armrest, then shook her head. In some ways, she could already see some similarities with Yang. Same openness, same sunny demeanor...]

It's a little gruesome. [Blake looked through the pages, stopping at one] Though this one about a girl and three bears would really be more for you.

Bears?! [Yang frowns, and then leans forward to try and snatch the book away.]

[And it's handed over with no problem, story opened up to Goldilocks and the Three Bears.]

[But alas, not same gazongas. - I mean COUGH COUGH. By now she was pretty much resigned to letting herself air-dry.]

Blake? Nice to meet you. And welcome to the city, assuming you are actually new.

[Blake's nose wrinkled at the smell, going through her mental list of ways to tell this... was Aradia a Faunus? No, no Faunus looked like that. Then what was she? In some ways, while she wanted to be left alone and not have her nose assaulted by wet, she wanted to know.]

I am. [And, instead of leaving it there, because something about this Yang-like inhuman girl spurred her to] I didn't expect the rain.

[Yang's just way to used to trying to get books away from Ruby, so she's a tad startled by how easy that was...but she leans back and flips through the story.]

Well, I'm liking the girl's hair, at least...
