[Another figure is there on the beach, just walking lightly over the sand near the water, hair loose in the breeze, letting the water lap around her ankles and soak the hem of a light dress. A light dress not normally suited to this time of year. Though the weather affected their people differently and it wasn't so extreme yet that she'd thought to find a cloak.

Notably though she's unarmed and mostly unaware of the area around her, simply enjoying the pleasures the beach has to offer.]

[The silver of her hair catches his attention first and stops him in his tracks. Staring. Hardly daring to believe it might be possible. But he can't take the chance it is and that he let her be hurt. Again.

His strides lengthen just enough to take him to her faster, before the foul beast could do more than think about going after her. A smile replaces the frown as her face comes into focus - how can he not smile with her there?]

Beloved.

[She stops in her tracks at his voice, breath catching as she turns to look at him in disbelief. It would have been too much to hope that it's really him. Not after so many night, here and in Aman, spent dreaming of him. Of being with him.]

Elrond? [She doesn't dare believe it. Not yet. Not until she takes a step towards him and reaches to touch his cheek.] It is you.

[His smile just grows as she turns, though turns more amused at her surprise. So he's not the only one.

He leans into the hand, bringing his up to hold her's there. Searching her face. Somehow she is here.]

Yes, Celebrian. I am here just as you are.

[Tears prick at the corners of her eyes when his hand touches hers and it takes all of her self control to resist throwing her arms around him right then. Instead she just leans forward and presses a kiss to his lips.]

I never thought to see you here of all places. When did you arrive?

[He returns the kiss of course, but goes one step further and dares to take a moment to pull her close, arms wrapping around her. Just for a moment before he remembers what he'd seen just before her, and pulls away to transfer his grasp to her hands. A glance behind her reassured him they aren't about to be pounced, at least.]

Not long. We should leave this shore quickly.

[He would not let her come to harm again.]

[That moment he held her close, she just leans her head against his chest and a fear tears slipped down her cheeks, dampening his clothing. It isn't long enough though, not for her, and she can't help but pout a bit when he pulls away.]

I wish I had been there when you arrived.

Come.

[This time he keeps his tone light, working to not let her realize the danger as he leads her away. He'd even missed her pouts.]

We will not be parted now that we have found one another again.

[Really, it's best she not realize how close they were to danger. However much she's recovered, she hasn't been placed in a situation like that again. She hasn't had to be placed in that situation again.]

No, we will not. [She holds tightly to his hand, almost afraid he may disappear.] I found a small house in the city. It is not home by any means but it is comfortable.

[For whatever reason, the warg decided to leave them be and kept up with whatever it was doing. This time. Elrond keeps part of his attention behind them, though for all appearances is focused entirely on his wife as he entwines their fingers and keeps them walking back the way he had come. He makes no comment of just how tight her hold on his hand is, just stays close as they walk.]

My home is wherever you are.

[As it should be.]

As mine is with you. [She leans against him, letting him guide them back to the city. He's there. He's really there. And in a strange city, where it doesn't matter how tied they are to Arda, it's a welcome feeling to have her other half with her.]

I've missed you. You'll tell me what's happened since- since we parted?

[It was as if no time had passed since before the orcs had gotten their hands on her. Though there was still a hint of shadow to her, it was clear he'd done the right thing. Even if it had parted them for so very long.

Just having her near enough to touch soothes the ache of loss that had grown since her departure.]

I will answer as many of your questions as I can. [As if there's a doubt he'll deny her anything that's in his power.]

Where is this house you mentioned?

[The shadow, however diminished, would likely never leave her. Even now, centuries later, nightmares sometimes still plagued her and left her waking in a cold sweat, chest tight and breathing difficult through the lingering terror.

They're rare now, the nightmares. But they still come every so often.]

Near the edge of the city, by the woods. I like having the trees so near. [The only one with a carefully kept garden like the one she'd tended in Imladris.]
