November Test Drive!

Thinking of apping a character but not sure they'll fit in the city walls?
Have no fear, a meme for you is here.
Directions:
Locations:
1. Train Station: New arrival, or waiting to welcome people? Either way, the train comes in, but you still can't ride it out.
2. Cathedral: Looking for redemption? Just doing a little sight-seeing? Or just getting a little shelter?
3. The Beach: You can almost forget you're trapped, in a place like this...
4. The Black Stallion Saloon: You were told the burgers were great here-- but maybe you just came for the beer.
5. The Library: You came to do a little research, but it looks like all of the information's just out of your reach. Though, you can always find a way to pass the time here.
6. The Coffee Joint: A lovely place to have a chat and a bite to eat.
7. The Forest: Not a great place to be caught alone, but are you alone?
8. Wildcard: Pick anything from our list!
Scenarios
1. Just walked in: You intended to get here, and you made your way in; but now someone's caught your eye and you'd like to have a chat.
2. Been here all day: You've been sitting around minding the time. Maybe you didn't notice them at first or maybe you were just working up the courage to talk-- either way, they know you're here and you know it too.
3. Bad weather: You're here because you've gotten rained in. This wasn't your choice, but at least it's dry-- right?
4. Wild card: Got something better in mind? Well screw these prompts, try it out yourself!
Have fun, guys!

Archer | Fate/stay night
Archer's presence here...was troubling. This was not Fuyuki, the Grail was not here, and what was more, he couldn't sense his Master anywhere nearby. He could have been inside something like a Reality Marble, but he couldn't seem to track down the caster of such an elaborate spell, and, besides, he could not think of a magus alive in this age who could maintain such a thing for as long as he'd been trapped there. It had been, to his reckoning, an hour already.
So, having gained nothing by his own observations and unwilling to seek answers further out when he did not fully understand the situation, he approached the one place he thought he might find guidance: the Church. He let himself in quietly and chose not to announce himself. Instead, he walked silently to one side of the pews, analyzing the architecture of the building.
He popped the watch open and closed with a faint, rhythmic clicking as he familiarized himself with his surroundings in what was otherwise silence.

courage || courage the cowardly dog
[ A small pink dog half-walks, half-skips nervously (yes, on two legs) off the train, his whining preceding him as he gets off the platform and out of the station. He seems to be whimpering to himself unintelligibly-- he is a dog after all. But, if you are slightly more observant and empathetic than the more ill-tempered of his owners, you can make out a high-pitched voice through the whimpers. ]
Oooooh.... [ Whimpers. ] I've got a bad feeling about this...
the forest;
[ With flashlight in hand, Courage is visibly shaking as he walks amongst the trees. If you're listening closely you can hear his teeth chattering. ] Ooooo... [ Howling despairingly as he tries not to trip over the roots and leaves slick with the rain falling through the trees. ]
Huh? [ Turning his flashlight around at a small noise. Lightning flashes through the trees at the exact wrong time, illustrating a silhouette of a figure amongst the trees. The small dog's eyes widen so much they threaten to fall out of his head. ]
AAAAAHHHHHHH!!! [ Jumping up in fright with flashlight waving wildly. Yeah. He does that. ]

Burden | DC Comics
I have arrived in Hell.
I haven't yet found the fire and brimstone, but I suppose I should ask around until someone tells me where I'm supposed to go.
[Burden stands nervously outside the cathedral, looking up at the abandoned spires, with his hands clasped together, fingers laced and twisting as he fidgets. It's clearly unused, so maybe he'll be okay if he goes inside.
But bad things sometimes happen when he goes into church, and even with his recent exorcism, he's concerned.
His blue eyes turn towards anyone who passes by.]

Leonie Tremble | Original
[She has no plans to go inside but she's spent the day wandering since she got off the train and she's bored enough to take a seat on the steps, examining the watch she found on her when she got off the train.]
I could be dreaming. [It's comforting to give voice to her thoughts, for the moment at least, as she tips the watch between her palms.] I could be curled asleep in my own bed with Orpheus on my chest, Adra purring on my feet.
[Or it could be as real as it feels and she's sitting on the steps of a cathedral, holding a watch and talking to herself. Probably time to look as much as a wide-eyed lost little French lamb as possible and get some answers.]
vii; forest
[She's got a lighter in her hand, a knife in her pocket and plenty of magic at her disposal. She likes the woods even if it's nowhere near as much fun without her sister but she's sure she heard something out there.
Her shoes aren't the most practical but she'll manage, creeping through in the dark with a single orange flame flickering as she squints around, listening for anything of interest. Besides, it's not like there's anything better to do really so as long as she doesn't hit a river with no bridge she's content to keep going, stopping when she's sure she hears a twig snap.]
Who's there? Come out, come out whatever you are.
[The rhyme isn't quite right but hey, she gets the feeling it's more likely to be deserving of a what rather than a who.]

emiya shirou | fate/stay night (heaven's feel)
[ In the late evening, there is a new arrival approaching rather calmly as he looks behind himself, only to notice that the train that had dropped him off was already too far gone.
Logic told him that he needed to get home.
His senses told him otherwise.
It was a little - read: very - disorienting that he had been on a train that he didn't remember taking, but at the same time he couldn't remember anything lately, having dealt with the strain that was concealed in his left arm, an arm that all too obviously didn't belong to him, covered up in red cloth as if to stop his body from tearing itself from the inside out with swords.
Nevertheless, he found himself walking, wanting to find answers. It seemed that he had taken this train alone; without Sakura, without Tohsaka, without anybody he knew. Had he truly relaxed so much that he had forgotten that entire span of time? How much time has passed since he beat - no, killed, that man?
He couldn't tell. But even so— ]
Nngh...
[ His vision blurred as his unsteady body slowly limped left and right, unable to stand upright before he found himself leaning against the wall, laughing hollowly. He knew exactly why this was happening. After all, he had used projection beyond his limits, things that would normally kill him.
So why the hell isn't he dead? As his eyes flickered in a somewhat futile attempt to figure out his surroundings, he found himself staring at the posters, trying to read the words on them as he gripped tightly onto his left hand in restraint. ]
Ruby City, huh.
OPTION B: SHOPPING
[ Now that Shirou's managed to settle in a little, he's decided to do the most important thing while staying in a new place:
being a housewifegroceries. Regardless of the excruciating pain - which has seemed to settle after a while; something that he honestly didn't mind as long as he could go about his his day-to-day life somewhat... normally. Not that he was normal.
At all. ]
I wonder what I should make for dinner...
[ He is looking rather curiously at the various fish, pondering on whether he should make sushi or perhaps some sashimi.
These are some MANLY PRIORITIES, after all. ]

Elrond Half-Elven | Tolkien
A cold, misty morning. Nothing unusual or new there, though the mode of transport Elrond stepped off of without recalling how he'd gotten onboard in the first place made the elf uneasy. So many questions, some of which were answered once he looked up and around, eyes catching on signs and finding even though the language was unfamiliar, he could read the text.
Living in Imladris made such weather simple to ignore, dressed appropriately as he'd been about to take a walk. Then walked off as he had. Pocket 'watch'? An unfamiliar weight at his waist had him explore, grey eyes continuing to look around as a slight frown tugged at his mouth.
The Beach
It had been worth the travel to reach this secluded beach, though there was something so very familiar in the water. Not yet in focus. Enough out of focus that he warily started in that direction after a moment's hesitation and thought. Foolish, perhaps, as he wasn't armed with the best of weaponry if it was indeed a warg. Merely a short sword, but he knew how to handle such a blade to it's fullest potential.

Celebrian | Tolkien Legendarium
[The beach has become her favorite place, easily. She'd often spent time on the beach in Aman, looking back across the Sea to the home she'd never know again. It isn't the same beach, the air doesn't even smell quite the same and the sand doesn't feel the same. It's as close as she'll get though, to Middle Earth or to Aman, to her family on either side of the Sea. And some things are the same, she can hear music in the sound of the waves.
And the beach is far from the strangeness of the city. Everything, literally everything, is so different from everything she's ever known.

Pekoyama Peko | Super Dangan Ronpa 2
[It might seem ironic or repetitive or downright stupid for someone who was just trapped on an island to go to the beach once more to feel calm.
But the truth is, sometimes it can be hard to adjust to the fact you are no longer a hostage-- or at least being held hostage in a new way. Peko stands at the shore, quiet, calculating. Watching the movement of the ocean, the cold, foamy tide licking the sand and washing over the soles of her shoes.
a: [Though she still stands with the presence of a warrior, she is confused, and she may seem startled if approached.]
b: If one should pass by her as she turns to leave, however, she will nod and give a polite (but detached) greeting.]

Vriska Serket | Homestuck
Vriska made her way along the streets, the soles of her red shoes scuffing the pavement as she walked.
From an outside perspective, she looked like she was paying only limited attention to her surroundings--her face forward, her hands shoved in her pockets. But this was a lie--a big lie. She was watching everything around her--in every nook and cranny, around every corner, from every angle.
And in one pocket, she held eight blue dice against her palm.
Not that she expected any trouble, obviously--no trouble she couldn't handle, anyway! But she didn't not expect trouble either. After all, you never knew what kind of assholes were out there!
All of her readiness, however, did not account for the fucking weather.

Henry Mills | Once Upon a Time
[Henry walks off the train and looks around the station he's arrived at. It certainly isn't Storybrooke nor does he recognise it as anywhere in the other lands he knows about. He finds himself in the same suit he was in at Gold's shop and checks his pockets for his phone. He finds it where he left it but also finds a strange pocket watch which he doesn't remember seeing before. Cautiously, he opens it and looks it over.]
[ Video ]
Hello? [Henry isn't sure if it's working or if it's magic or technology but that won't stop him trying.] If anyone is receiving this message, my name is Henry Mills. I would appreciate information about where I am and how I might get home. Thank you. [With nothing else to say, currently, he stops the message and waits for any responses. When he said he wanted something more magical, this wasn't what he had in mind.]

Regina Mills | Once Upon A Time /)_(\ be gentle
[ The last thing she remembers in the incessant banging of Swan against her office door. An apology she didn't care to hear, nor one she planned to acknowledge. Even selfless acts have consequences. As soon as the train lulls into the station, coming to a stop, Regina finally notices that she isn't sitting on the floor of her office. She's in Ruby City. Panic immediately comes over her. The first concern on her mind, as any mother's would be--
Henry.
She fumbles with the bag she finds and opens up the pocket watch. Fortunately for her she's used to having something of this size to carry around. The buttons are unlabelled, hard to figure out, but her face finally pops up for the network to see.
She's distraught from crying earlier, her eyes are still red, but the glare she gives the watch.
I wouldn't mess with her if I were you. ]
Why am I here, and where is my son? [ She sets her jaw, angling her head to the side. ] His name is Henry and let me make this abundantly clear to whomever I'm speaking with.
If you touch one hair on his head, [ She sets the watch down on a lead and makes a curved motion with her hand, fire igniting in her palm, forming into a ball. ] there will be hell to pay.
I want answers. Now. What the hell is Ruby City and how in the world do I leave?
[ Tick, tock.. Don't keep a lady waiting. It's rude.
Maybe she is being a little too uptight about this but. . .no. She almost lost her son to a psychopath with a wish for eternal youth. She's not going to apologize for being concerned. Not now and not ever. ]
Option B: Prose (6, 2)
After the information from her arrival finally sets in she didn't have a proper way to vent her anger. She just wanted to be back in Storybrooke. She had bigger fish to fry, and wasting her days away in some city stuck god knows where wasn't in the cards. What's worse no one has even the slightest lead on what brought them here in the first place. Was it a different type of curse? Who knows.
At the moment she is contemplating this over a cup of hot coffee, drowning down her irritation with caffeine. Perhaps that wasn't the smartest idea as that just makes her nerves ever worse. The impatient rush of energy sets in quickly and has her tapping her fingers against the side of the coffee mug. If only she could find at least one person she knew from her world.
God and what about Robin and--she purses her lips and downs the rest of her drink in one go. She'll need something stronger at this rate but she hasn't mapped out the whole town yet.
Anyone passing by is welcome to engage this irritated woman. She's attractive, quite friendly when unprovoked, and is probably in desperate need of someone to talk to. In fact, when your character does happen to brush by her table her gaze goes right up and she reaches out to get their attention. "Excuse me," She puts on her best smile, despite it seeming somewhat. . . fake. "Can you tell me where I can stay the night? I'd say I prefer proper accommodations but all I've got is money from my world and I doubt anything in a Victorian-esque world takes plastic."
[ooc: So for the prose you can either have your character come up to her first or respond to her flagging them down. Either way works. c:

Illyasviel von Einzbern - Fate/Stay Night (Don't eat me)
... But even if it was a Reality Marble of some sorts she would have still been able to call for Beserker, right? The fact that she could not sense nor summon her Servant was troubling.
Her wandering had soon lead her to a coffee shop, the young girl swinging her legs as she eats the ice cream out of something called "Gabu Coffee". Leaning her chin against her palm she observes those around her, trying to decipher just what is going on while listening to others talk around her.]

Belle | Once Upon a Time
It seemed to be by some stroke of luck, Belle found herself at the library. She was actually surprised to learn that this place had one and eagerly pushed open the doors to see what the library had to offer her. Maybe, they would allow her to work here if she asked. For now she wanted to explore it's contents and see what knowledge these books had to offer her.
Smiling she ran her hand along the books until she picked one up. She continued to do this, randomly picking one book and then another until she found one that held her attention.

Ibuki Mioda | Super Dangan Ronpa 2
It was raining! Though, Ibuki normally wasn't really one to shy away from such weather. In fact, if the mood was to strike her, she would likely play in the rain. Probably even sing in the rain! That is, if the weather wasn't freezing cold and she had proper gear on for it...
Unfortunately, the musician was rather ill-equipped for such a thing this day. How terrible, not even singing would leave her with a wonderful feeling! She'd still be soaked to the bone and likely to suffer hypothermia after a little while. With little recourse available to her...
... she entered the nearest building. The library.
"O... oohh... Ibuki has made a terrible mistake," she immediately realized.
She'd been thrown out of quite a few libraries for being loud and disruptive. Ibuki didn't mind being thrown out, normally, but... the idea of going back outside in that cold?
"Can Ibuki keep it in, can she?!" Ibuki wondered, as a surmounting pressure to just... start yelling started to bubble up, "But Ibuki doesn't want to be thrown out into the dark, cold, lonely night! It's a terrible predicament Ibuki has found herself in! The worst! Ibuki's going to explode! IBUKI DOESN'T WANT TO FEEL THE BONE BITING CHILL OF THE FREEZING RAIN!!!!"
... Already, she lost it.
[2: Network Post, video because why would Ibuki use text...]
Hey, hey, are there any electric guitars around here? Is... wait, Ibuki hasn't even found any electric outlets! How is Ibuki supposed to play her music here?!??! It's terrible! Awful! The worst! Super High School Level Bad!

rin tohsaka. fate/stay night. let the enabling begin.
[ Sitting at the station this eve is a poised young woman without any alarm in her demeanor. Being brought to a foreign city is the least of her concerns as alarming as that may be. No, there were greater problems to resolve first. Despite the weight of shackles around her wrist and the band around the top of her head, Rin's the kind of person who doesn't give up until the last second. The trial had seemed hopeless for her and then the next she opened her eyes on a train. As far as she was aware, criminals were sent to live down below not to an entirely different place. ]
It's rather cozy for a prison, but I suppose it can't be helped. Now where's the warden who will undo my bindings? [ The arm that hosts her crest aches tremendously from being restricted and well, they were unsightly. ]
â‘¡ CATHEDRAL;
[ This place gives her the creeps. Odd how a building set aside for placing faith in something unseen could do that to a person, but Rin's experiences with church-related matters has always been strained. First the man who raised her, then his successor, and she can't even begin to recall just how long the list of matters that needed to be cleaned up after were. She's not entirely sure what has drawn her here tonight. Is it the day, a religious holiday of some sort that instinctively tugs at her mind or is it something on a greater scale?
Either way, she walks between the pews with her fingers hitting the back wooden panel of each one as she strolls by. ]
â‘¢ NETWORK;
Good day to all who hear of this message. [ Rin's in rare form today with a smile that looks mostly real. Maybe it's the effect of springtime flowers that are starting to blossom? ]
Because I've decided that I need the practice, I'll be taking one or two requests at most to create a magical item to help you in your day-to-day living. Alternatively, I could improve on any such item you may already have provided you allow me to study it in advance with full consent. Normally I charge a hefty price for these services as my way of living isn't cheap, but since I have been lacking challenges as of late, I'll lift the fee. The stronger the item, the more fun it'll be.
My credentials are outstanding and both them as well as my feats are too long to list. Please don't waste my time with child's play or idle chatter.
[ And instead of thanking everyone for listening, it's only obvious she blurts out an awkwardly timed: ] You're welcome.
