4. The Black Stallion Saloon: You were told the burgers were great here-- but maybe you just came for the beer.

5. The Library: You came to do a little research, but it looks like all of the information's just out of your reach. Though, you can always find a way to pass the time here.

6. The Coffee Joint: A lovely place to have a chat and a bite to eat.

7. The Forest: Not a great place to be caught alone, but are you alone?

1. Just walked in: You intended to get here, and you made your way in; but now someone's caught your eye and you'd like to have a chat.

2. Been here all day: You've been sitting around minding the time. Maybe you didn't notice them at first or maybe you were just working up the courage to talk-- either way, they know you're here and you know it too.

3. Bad weather: You're here because you've gotten rained in. This wasn't your choice, but at least it's dry-- right?

House 8...that's where he and I and Ikusaba-san are staying. You're welcome to stay there, too, of course...

[She doesn't really have a say in the matter since it was Kuzuryuu's home first, and it isn't as if she has anything against Peko to not want her to stay.]

[An unfamiliar name-- it must be someone she hasn't met yet.

But now that she knows where he is...]

Then I must go to him at once. You are... free to accompany me.

[By which she means, the way back is dangerous, and she will protect you, Nanami.]

A party invitation? Mmm, since it's Pekoyama-san...I accept wholeheartedly!

[Not that she wasn't going to come anyways, but. You know. She has to relate everything to video games.]

[Though it causes her to hesitate, Peko assumes this must be a video game reference. Nanami is peculiar in that way, but it isn't altogether unwelcome. It's actually endearing, honestly.]

Please stay close, then. I am unfortunately without my sword, and it is most likely that we will have to run in case of any danger.

Ikusaba-san could help you find a sword...I think.

[After all, the soldier was inquiring for weapons a while back...it's unknown to Nanami whether or not she actually succeeded in finding one, however.]

In the meantime, I'll keep an eye out for any enemies. I'm really good at that sort of thing...so you can trust me with this quest.

[...Yes, Nanami is very cute. She isn't sure she forgot, but it's being reiterated. Nanami acting as a companion in a video game still gives off 'fluffy' vibes. However, Peko keeps her composure. It would be strange to pet a fellow student on the head.]

Alright, then. Let's go.

The city is to the west, is it not?

[...In all honesty, Nanami probably wouldn't even mind. A bit confused, but not minding.]

Yep, that's right.

[One day it'll happen. She won't be able to resist. Nanami is just as good as a soft kitten, okay.]

[She leads, checking to make sure Nanami is close every once in a while, carrying a solid piece of driftwood as a makeshift weapon.]

[Nanami follows, and just as she said, she's keeping a very vigilant eye out for any monsters that may approach as they travel through the woods. She may seem ditsy...most of the time, but when the situation calls for it, she can certainly be very more perceptive than one would think. She likes to think of it as her "hidden ability", if you will...]

Nanami-san. Before we get any further...

What more can you tell me about the area we are passing through?

This is the forest...there are monsters here, but I've never seen one myself. I heard there were Heartless here, though...ah, they're an enemy group in Kingdom Hearts, by the way. Some of them are hostile and some are not, but it'd be better to be careful anyways...I think.

...Are you saying that monsters from video games inhabit this area?

[Sorry, she's a little stuck on that. Not that she's seen a heartless, but she's pretty sure it's that little bug-like thing she saw on posters when the video game came out ages ago. Besides, what else would Nanami reference?]

Yes! ...Well, not all of them...but the Heartless are definitely from a video game!

[...She likes you, Nanami, and she might even trust you...

Yep...it'd be pretty bad since neither of us have a Keyblade.

[She's bothered by this. What a stupid sword. Why would you make a sword shaped like a key? That's more like a club.

...She has no idea what she's asking of Nanami with that.]

Because it defeats the Heartless...

[DO NOT ARGUE WITH NANAMI... she will just huff and puff the entire time.]

[There's a small part of her that wants to ask how, but another part of her... worries. That maybe she will go on a long, complicated explanation, and Peko does not want to open that can of worms up because it will just be more confusing.

She'll just accept the reality that is a world where dark monsters are destroyed by key clubs for now.]

...Fine. Is there anything else I should be worried about being unable to fend off?

Nope. ...At least as far as I know. The other monsters can be defeated...with normal weapons.

Then we'll be just fine.

...Do you know how far it is from where we are?

[She'd remembered which direction she'd taken, but not at all how long it had taken for her to run there.]

Not far...?

[She's just taking a guess here.]

[This line of questioning is a dead end. So Peko ends it, just giving Nanami a hesitant nod before leading her further west.

However much time may pass, it doesn't matter. They'll get there. She stays diligent, her hand drifting nearer toward Nanami every so often, in case she needs to grab her and start running.]

[Nanami continues to keep an eye out as they traverse through the woods, vigilant as ever to notice any rustlings or sounds that would indicate a monster's approach. She seems to be very oblivious to the fact that Peko's hand is near hers - or rather, she doesn't seem to mind? It's pretty hard to tell given Nanami's usual disinterested expression.]
