3. The Beach: You can almost forget you're trapped, in a place like this...

4. The Black Stallion Saloon: You were told the burgers were great here-- but maybe you just came for the beer.

5. The Library: You came to do a little research, but it looks like all of the information's just out of your reach. Though, you can always find a way to pass the time here.

6. The Coffee Joint: A lovely place to have a chat and a bite to eat.

7. The Forest: Not a great place to be caught alone, but are you alone?

8. Wildcard: Pick anything from our list!


Scenarios

1. Just walked in: You intended to get here, and you made your way in; but now someone's caught your eye and you'd like to have a chat.

2. Been here all day: You've been sitting around minding the time. Maybe you didn't notice them at first or maybe you were just working up the courage to talk-- either way, they know you're here and you know it too.

3. Bad weather: You're here because you've gotten rained in. This wasn't your choice, but at least it's dry-- right?

4. Wild card: Got something better in mind? Well screw these prompts, try it out yourself!

Hearing someone call him was a surprise. He didn't know the place so he didn't think anyone would know him. Spotting the figure waving at him, he headed in her direction. Unfortunately, there were no bells of recognition ringing for him.

"Hello. Sorry, I'm afraid you have the advantage of me."

So he didn't remember... Well, that was par for the course around here, unfortunately. (Or some other metaphor that didn't involve an Earth sport she'd never heard of.) Aradia was pretty much used to that kind of thing, though. Even back in the Furthest Ring, she tended to know more about the myriad versions of her friends than any one of them knew about her, for better or worse.

She smiled, wiping her hands on her napkin. "Aradia Megido. We've met a few times." Although obviously, that wouldn't magically make him remember it. She offered him a handshake. "Nice to meet you again, though! I take it you don't remember the last time you were here?"

"I've been here before?"

Okay, he knew he was getting on in years, but his memory couldn't have gotten that bad. His confusion still showed but he had enough sense to at least return the handshake.

Aradia nodded. "Not that long ago, either. Don't worry, though, you're not the first to come back not remembering. Apparently I did it myself once." According to Dirk, anyway.

He was almost at a loss for words.

"But I...I mean...where's here?"

"Oh! It's called Ruby City," she replied, though the posters hung up at the train station would have told him that too. "Unless you mean its actual position in spacetime, in which case I don't know. It's sort of a pocket dimension, so time and space are a little wonky."

"Really?"

Not many of those he'd visited before.

"Ruby City? That's...original I suppose."

Aradia shrugged. Original or not, it was what it was. "It's named after the obelisk in the town square, I think. Have you seen that?"
