November Test Drive!

Thinking of apping a character but not sure they'll fit in the city walls?

Have no fear, a meme for you is here.

Directions:
  • Post with your character with their name and canon on top!
  • Choose a location and prompt or wait for someone else to tag.
  • If you'd like, leave contact info for people to get in contact for plotting and other such shenans.
  • Tag around! Make friends. Don't be afraid to chat OOC while tagging.

    Locations:

    1. Train Station: New arrival, or waiting to welcome people? Either way, the train comes in, but you still can't ride it out.

    2. Cathedral: Looking for redemption? Just doing a little sight-seeing? Or just getting a little shelter?

    3. The Beach: You can almost forget you're trapped, in a place like this...

    4. The Black Stallion Saloon: You were told the burgers were great here-- but maybe you just came for the beer.

    5. The Library: You came to do a little research, but it looks like all of the information's just out of your reach. Though, you can always find a way to pass the time here.

    6. The Coffee Joint: A lovely place to have a chat and a bite to eat.

    7. The Forest: Not a great place to be caught alone, but are you alone?

    8. Wildcard: Pick anything from our list!

    Scenarios

    1. Just walked in: You intended to get here, and you made your way in; but now someone's caught your eye and you'd like to have a chat.

    2. Been here all day: You've been sitting around minding the time. Maybe you didn't notice them at first or maybe you were just working up the courage to talk-- either way, they know you're here and you know it too.

    3. Bad weather: You're here because you've gotten rained in. This wasn't your choice, but at least it's dry-- right?

    4. Wild card: Got something better in mind? Well screw these prompts, try it out yourself!

    Have fun, guys!

Regina Mills | Once Upon A Time /)_(\ be gentle

    [personal profile] thisismycurse 2014-11-20 01:58 am (UTC)(link)
    Option 1: Network

[ The last thing she remembers in the incessant banging of Swan against her office door. An apology she didn't care to hear, nor one she planned to acknowledge. Even selfless acts have consequences. As soon as the train lulls into the station, coming to a stop, Regina finally notices that she isn't sitting on the floor of her office. She's in Ruby City. Panic immediately comes over her. The first concern on her mind, as any mother's would be--

    Henry.

She fumbles with the bag she finds and opens up the pocket watch. Fortunately for her she's used to having something of this size to carry around. The buttons are unlabelled, hard to figure out, but her face finally pops up for the network to see.

She's distraught from crying earlier, her eyes are still red, but the glare she gives the watch.

I wouldn't mess with her if I were you. ]

Why am I here, and where is my son? [ She sets her jaw, angling her head to the side. ] His name is Henry and let me make this abundantly clear to whomever I'm speaking with.

If you touch one hair on his head, [ She sets the watch down on a lead and makes a curved motion with her hand, fire igniting in her palm, forming into a ball. ] there will be hell to pay.

I want answers. Now. What the hell is Ruby City and how in the world do I leave?

[ Tick, tock.. Don't keep a lady waiting. It's rude.

Maybe she is being a little too uptight about this but. . .no. She almost lost her son to a psychopath with a wish for eternal youth. She's not going to apologize for being concerned. Not now and not ever. ]

    Option B: Prose (6, 2)

After the information from her arrival finally sets in she didn't have a proper way to vent her anger. She just wanted to be back in Storybrooke. She had bigger fish to fry, and wasting her days away in some city stuck god knows where wasn't in the cards. What's worse no one has even the slightest lead on what brought them here in the first place. Was it a different type of curse? Who knows.

At the moment she is contemplating this over a cup of hot coffee, drowning down her irritation with caffeine. Perhaps that wasn't the smartest idea as that just makes her nerves ever worse. The impatient rush of energy sets in quickly and has her tapping her fingers against the side of the coffee mug. If only she could find at least one person she knew from her world.

God and what about Robin and--she purses her lips and downs the rest of her drink in one go. She'll need something stronger at this rate but she hasn't mapped out the whole town yet.

Anyone passing by is welcome to engage this irritated woman. She's attractive, quite friendly when unprovoked, and is probably in desperate need of someone to talk to. In fact, when your character does happen to brush by her table her gaze goes right up and she reaches out to get their attention. "Excuse me," She puts on her best smile, despite it seeming somewhat. . . fake. "Can you tell me where I can stay the night? I'd say I prefer proper accommodations but all I've got is money from my world and I doubt anything in a Victorian-esque world takes plastic."

[ooc: So for the prose you can either have your character come up to her first or respond to her flagging them down. Either way works. c: [plurk.com profile] pir8_queen if you have any questions. ]

Gold entered the place not so much for the coffee as he does to listen to any conversation which might be taken place in the joint. Once he had gotten his coffee, he scanned the tables for the best spot to settle when he noticed a certain familiar face.

Well now, this was certain an interesting turn of events. Out of all the people to get pulled to this charming city, it would be the one person he tends to clash most with. City hasn't lost its sense of humor obviously.

Making his way to her table, he slid into the seat opposite hers. He studied her quietly for a few seconds as he took a small sip of his coffee, reaching afterward into his coat to pull a small flask from it. Opening it, he moved as if to pour its contents into his coffee, but paused in the act of doing so to instead offer the woman across from him the flask instead.

"You look as if you need this more than me, my dear."

To say she doesn't notice him as he approaches isn't entirely true. She knows that slightly heavy shuffle, the fine tailoring on the suit is actually what gives it away as that's the first thing she sees when her eyes drift away from the cup and to: "Gold." She answers bemused. With a flick of hand the coffee starts to refill itself and what's this? He carries a flask around with him. . .well that's not entirely surprising.

However she thought his self medication was tricking people into deals they didn't necessarily want no matter what the circumstances were. "I'll take whatever you have to offer so long as it isn't cheap or vodka." She has some class. She chuckles, looking down. "Nice shadow."

She gestures to the floor. Despite the light in the room there is a distinct lack of anything except the chairs shadow in the floor. "How long have you been here, exactly?" A while she would guess, but she didn't notice any disparities. He was present when she left, but that says he left quite a while ago. Before Neal's--

She tenses a little looking away and back up to him, keeping that sudden surge of emotion from reaching her face.

"As if I'd drink anything like that." He answered with something akin to wry amusement as he poured a generous share into the refilled coffee. "MacCutcheon Whisky. Quite good stuff."

He closed the flask up and laid it on the table between them, taking another sip of his coffee as he studied her once again, quietly curious about that abrupt tensing she'd done. "Going on nine months."

    "Did you just arrive?"

[After Henry had spoken to his grandfather about events, he left the man's apartment and wanders the streets looking around. He was still in his suit and would have to go about looking for something more casual to wear. He was still a kid and still wanted comfort over style.

Hearing his mother over the broadcast on the watch, he answers it with a video feed and smiles.]

Mom. I'm here. I'll see if I can find my way back to the Station. Gr--Mr. Gold's here too. Whatever you do, don't tell him anything!

[ooc: I know you tagged me but I had this mostly written before I passed out so I wanted to finish and tag.]

((ooc: that's fine i can bounce between both, I'll mix this one up with some info. ))

[ So Henry's already run into Gold too. This is a very huge issue if anyone else shows up. They're not from the same time and who knows who could show up next. Does this open the floodgate to people they'll already dealt with such as Zelena, Cora. . .]

Henry calm down, sweetheart. I've talked to Gold already. He doesn't have his shadow. [ She sighs. ] I need you to tell me exactly what you've said to him. It's very important we both have the same story.

[ For Gold's sake, especially. Even Regina isn't cruel enough to tell him back in their world Neal is dead. ]

    [ooc: awesome. thanks.]

[Henry takes a deep breath.] Can we do this in person? I don't know how secure these feeds are and I don't want to be overheard.

[It took a while for Belle to figure out how to work the watch. She had been shown how to use it, but since then she hasn't really tried it out. She found it cumbersome and strange.

She was quite surprised to see Regina's face appear on the network and wasn't sure how to react. The queen had done so much to her... Yet, the queen's concern over her son held her attention as she realized how important the boy was to her and well toward the whole town.

When Belle finally does respond her expression is a mixture of confusion and concern and sounds rather hesitant to speak.]

Um, hello. I've just recently arrived and haven't seen young Henry around. I'll start looking for him now and report to you if I manage to find him.
