4. The Black Stallion Saloon: You were told the burgers were great here-- but maybe you just came for the beer.

5. The Library: You came to do a little research, but it looks like all of the information's just out of your reach. Though, you can always find a way to pass the time here.

6. The Coffee Joint: A lovely place to have a chat and a bite to eat.

7. The Forest: Not a great place to be caught alone, but are you alone?

Scenarios

1. Just walked in: You intended to get here, and you made your way in; but now someone's caught your eye and you'd like to have a chat.

2. Been here all day: You've been sitting around minding the time. Maybe you didn't notice them at first or maybe you were just working up the courage to talk-- either way, they know you're here and you know it too.

3. Bad weather: You're here because you've gotten rained in. This wasn't your choice, but at least it's dry-- right?

[Oh she recognizes him. How can she not? Besides the fact that Beserker had just fought Saber last night, she'd made sure to remember the face of the boy Kiritsugu abandoned her for.

She smiles at him, tilting her head to one side and crossing her legs at the ankles.]

Did you come on the train as well, onii-chan?

[ ...

He bites his lip nervously, realizing that this was definitely not the Illya he knew. After all, after he had told her his name, she had stopped calling him that, instead referring him to his actual name. Even at this very moment, he can feel the guilt eating at him, causing him to grip tightly onto his other arm, onto his free arm, the arm that doesn't even belong to him. ]

I... did.

[ It hurts to see her. It causes him immense pain, and he hates it. He hates it so much. He wanted the pain to stop, but it would never do so. Not for him.

Not when he was the last one to see her. ]

But not on the same train as you did. I've been here for a little bit... Not as long as some of the others, though.

[Illya pauses at his words. Of course it makes sense that there would be other trains, and yet she hadn't seen anyone disembark with her. Weighing her options she takes another bite of her ice cream, swinging her legs.]

Did you arrive with Saber then?

[ A straight up answer. The guilt is eating away at him, but he can't let his emotions get to him. Let's just turn those into swords. ]

Saber is here, but she didn't come with me. She's not from the same time as I am. [ And neither are you, Illya. But that's evident from the arm that doesn't fit him on his left side. ]

The same time as you?

[That doesn't make any sense.

But then again. Her eyes zero in on his arm, finally seeming to notice it. That isn't Shirou's arm, that can't be his arm. It looks an awful lot like the arm of Rin's Archer.]

... Would you like to come sit with me onii-chan? We can get more ice cream!

It's because of the Second Magic.

[ He says this simply, as if it were fact. And to him, it's exactly like that. ]

Sure; I don't mind, Illya.

[Illya has to nod, about to comment on the Second Magic, but the words die on her lips.

She glares when he shortens her name, even if it might come out more like a pout.]

Tell me your name.

[Getting a little deja vu, Shirou?]

He finds himself swallowing nervously, if only because he really doesn't want to fight with Illya. Even if she doesn't have Berserker anymore. ]

... Shirou. You can call me Shirou.

[ He's omitting his last name on purpose. ]

[She repeats the name, as if testing it. Then she nods to herself and smiles.]

Well, are you going to sit with me?

[ He's nervous, but that's only because he's trying to focus. If he doesn't focus, he'll forget about her again. So he sits down, right next to her, hands on his lap. ]
