Fall Festival Wrap-up & Prizes!

Greetings, Ruby City! First of all, we'd like to apologize for the lateness of this post - the mod who was handling the Festival came down with a pretty serious case of the flu on the 19th, and was pretty much out of commission for about two weeks. Now that she's feeling better, we're here to announce the prizes to the scavenger hunt and provide some details on the end of the Fall Festival!

First of all, a huge thank you! to everyone who participated. There's a high chance we will do spring and fall festivals yearly now, with the chance to win silly prizes with midway games and with a scavenger hunt in the fall. We're glad you guys had fun at our first annual Fall Festival and look forward to hosting more in the future!

The Monday morning after the festival opened saw an empty square, with only a few scraps of fake spiderweb and some discarded candy wrappers left as remnants of the festival's existence. Anyone who attempted to take home costumes from the Shoppe in the festival will wake up to find that the costumes have mysteriously disappeared, and in its place is a piece of paper that reads, Next time, I won't be so nice! in cramped, scribbled writing. The stray cat population of the city seems to have also increased marginally, as not all of the black felines that came with the festival left with it, and any treats that were brought home can still be consumed with the same effects they had during the festival; though the effects only last for approximately 2 hours.

If you have any Midway threads you would like to continue, please comment here! Otherwise, feel free to handwave your characters gaining up to 5 current resident dolls in costumes of their choosing.

Finally, the prizes of the scavenger hunt are discussed under the cut.

Scavenger hunt participants may have found themselves confused, as the festival came and went without any awards being given out, though each team did get to keep the fancy loot-sacks. However, the city is ready to make amends.

Tomorrow morning, each individual person who earned a reward will find upon their doorstep a rucksack stamped with a jack-o-lantern, tied shut with a length of black cord that has a namecard attached to it. Anyone who tries to pick up a rucksack that is not theirs will find the bag impossibly heavy (literally, it cannot be moved except by the owner), and inside is a small note apologizing for the lateness of the prizes and wishing the receiver a 'Very Happy Halloween'.

The prizes within are as follows:

3rd Prize
winners: Hanna Falk Cross ([personal profile] falkeditupagain) & Maurice ([personal profile] toothaches); Tojiko ([personal profile] departed_child_of_gods) & Miko ([personal profile] shoutoku_administrator); Bon ([personal profile] kyotoprincess) & Rin ([profile] blueblaze); Davesprite ([personal profile] crowsicle), Xion ([personal profile] ceded) & Eren Jaeger ([personal profile] greatrage); Maya Fey([personal profile] missleadingquestions), Nanami ([personal profile] entercheats), Miles Edgeworth ([personal profile] frilliance) & Phoenix Wright ([personal profile] wright_idea); Sasha Braus ([personal profile] 9thbest) & Waver Velvet ([profile] gordionknots); Black Rock Shooter ([personal profile] coelestis); Ib ([Bad username or unknown identity: embodimentofspirit),]), Hiroshi ([personal profile] all_onis_are_true) & Garry ([personal profile] screamsalot)
A small trophy that appears to be fashioned out of ruby, in the shape of a gravestone. The gravestone has etched upon it the members of the team, and the small plaque the gravestone is set on reads, '1st Annual Ruby City Scavenger Hunt' with the name of the person it was presented to beneath the legend.

2nd Prize
winners: Bon ([personal profile] kyotoprincess) & Rin ([profile] blueblaze); Davesprite ([personal profile] crowsicle), Xion ([personal profile] ceded) & Eren Jaeger ([personal profile] greatrage); Maya Fey([personal profile] missleadingquestions), Nanami ([personal profile] entercheats), Miles Edgeworth ([personal profile] frilliance) & Phoenix Wright ([personal profile] wright_idea); Sasha Braus ([personal profile] 9thbest) & Waver Velvet ([profile] gordionknots); Black Rock Shooter ([personal profile] coelestis); Ib ([Bad username or unknown identity: embodimentofspirit),]), Hiroshi ([personal profile] all_onis_are_true) & Garry ([personal profile] screamsalot)
What appears to be a compass, until it is opened: the screen within is a green grid with glowing dots on it, with a large blue dot marking the holder of the sensor. Fellow citizens show up as green dots, and hostile presences show up as red dots. (Yes, this is a proximity sensor. Enjoy.)

Grand Prize
winners: Davesprite ([personal profile] crowsicle), Xion ([personal profile] ceded) & Eren Jaeger ([personal profile] greatrage); Maya Fey([personal profile] missleadingquestions), Nanami ([personal profile] entercheats), Miles Edgeworth ([personal profile] frilliance) & Phoenix Wright ([personal profile] wright_idea); Sasha Braus ([personal profile] 9thbest) & Waver Velvet ([profile] gordionknots); Black Rock Shooter ([personal profile] coelestis); Ib ([Bad username or unknown identity: embodimentofspirit),]), Hiroshi ([personal profile] all_onis_are_true) & Garry ([personal profile] screamsalot)
a very interesting crystal ball inset on a plinth with the character's name emblazoned on the plinth above | « | ■ |❚❚| ► | » | symbols, with the square faintly glowing. Initially (and when left alone for more than a few moments), the crystal ball shows only a swirling silvery cloud. Pressing play will start with the character's birth...and the crystal ball will display their entire lifeline, up to their death - even if they themselves have not experienced the end of their story. If their canon has not yet provided their story with an end, at the point where their story currently ends in their canon, the ball will start to display something akin to static, as though it were a glitching TV.

We hope you enjoyed this Festival, and look forward to hosting more in the future. If you have any questions, please let us know!

If the character takes their prizes out of the bag, would other characters be able to pick them up/move them? And/or would other characters be able to press the stop and play buttons if they are nosy douches?

Just out of curiosity, how DELICATE is that crystal ball, anyway?
