November Event Info
RUBY CITY EVENT
November
November
Hello, everyone! Poll results came out with an overwhelming wish to see a low-key event for the busy month of November and we hope that this one runs at a comfortable pace for everyone who wishes to be involved.
On Friday, November 21st, a peculiar kind of malaise will fall over some of the city's residents. They may wake up feeling like they didn't have a good night's sleep and just want to catch a few more minutes in bed, but before they know it, it's past noon (or the vampiric equivalent) and they're still turning their pillow over to the cool side with no real desire to get up. Those with a bit more personal drive will be able to resist this initial fatigue, but don't worry, it gets worse.
For the first part of the event, those effected will progress through a series of stages. Some may stop at stage one, some may go all the way up to stage four. It's up to you!
Stage 1: General malaise/laziness, but the weather is awful and it's getting cold, why should there really be anything to worry about?
Stage 2: It's just easier to let other people do things for you. You know, if they feel like it. You suppose you can do these things for yourself...
Stage 3: Getting up and actually doing things is too hard. All you really want is to be able to do nothing. Maybe have someone massage your feet. The urge to actually not do anything productive or beneficial to anyone else almost overpowers everything else.
Stage 4: (DANGER STAGE) Taking laziness to a new extreme, anyone hitting this level will be expecting one or more people to be waiting on them hand and foot. Why shouldn't they, after all? Don't you deserve it?
On Monday, November 24th, the city will be graced with a new face. He's going to be taking responsibility for the current problems, but you know what.. he really doesn't want to fix it for you, he's comfortable right where he is. You're on your own. However, someone isn't going to be very happy with this being the one thing that he decided to get himself out of bed for.
As such, for the second half of this event, a second set of 'symptoms' will join the first. These can be opted into by those who weren't affected by the first set, or be mixed with them and will be triggered by the discovery of just who is behind the current problems. It's just so annoying, isn't it?
The second set of stages is as follows. Again, stopping at stage one or upping the ante all the way to stage four is an option.
Stage 1: Irritability. You don't know why these little things are rubbing you the wrong way, but it's hard to keep from snapping about them.
Stage 2: At this point, it's difficult to even feel bad about your general attitude, and if people have a problem with it, they can just step right off.
Stage 3: You wanna take this outside? You wanna go? Bring it!
Stage 4: (DANGER STAGE) Congratulations, you are now picking fights with friends, foes, and strangers alike in order to slake the screaming rage in your chest.
Both parts of this event are opt-in, and what stage each individual reaches can be affected by their own personality and the reactions of the people around them. For example, someone who is just left to their own devices while being lazy would be more likely to drop down deeper, while someone who is admonished for their behaviour might find it a bit easier to get up and about.
Only those within the city walls will find themselves affected, and should someone who is affected pass that boundary, they will find their symptoms alleviate. Though, they may return in full force as soon as they re-enter the city limits.
There is no abrupt end to this event. On Friday, November 28th, those who have sunk to stage three/four of either set (or both) will be able to be roused/calmed more easily and those who are in stage one/two will find themselves a little more motivated, or less likely to be automatically annoyed by everything around them. They may still need the help of other people to fully shake off the effects!
Any questions can be asked in the relevant comment below, and happy plotting!

QUESTIONS
Re: QUESTIONS
What sort of property damage is allowed for characters getting irritable?
Will there be any chance for characters to pick up information from the person who is claiming responsibility or will they just get dismissed since it's their problem to deal with?

Minor property damage is always a free for all, but if you're going to be destroying whole buildings, please check with the mods (and any residents of said building) beforehand.
There will be opportunity, yes! Ariel is a lazy S.O.B. but he will be available for conversation when he shows his face.

IDK, I think it'll be entertaining.
As for River, well, people get to see her temper? And things will probably get thrown/slapped. Or Shot.

Peko will suffer from stage one of the laziness, which for her, is too much. She'll be very apologetic after the event despite the fact it's only going to be similar to one suffering from the lethargy of a cold...
Maya, however, is only going to get the anger portion. At first she'll be mad people are being so lazy, but once the anger effect set in, she'll probably be going up to stage five, depending on what happens.
My other characters, Saber and Conrad, will be available to bother your lazy or angry asses.

Ib will be affected by the sloth half of of the event, meaning she'll be chilling in a blanket fort with Alice and the house cats, refusing to budge. Interactions will mostly be limited to housemates unless she's somehow coerced outside, but feel free to shoot any ideas my way!
Irisviel, on the other hand, will be affected by the wrath half of the event, which is going to dredge up a lot of emotions she's been suppressing since meeting Shirou. She will not get to the point of physical violence, but she's entirely liable to lash out verbally. If you'd like your character to be in the line of fire, let me know.

Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu will not be affected, since dealing with him is like living with Stage 3 wrath symptoms ANYWAY.
Davesprite, if anything, will be getting some lazy symptoms, though luckily he requires little upkeep anyway. He won't be going all the way to the danger stage, but he may go to Stage 2 or 3.

Marlowe will not be affected at all. However, he will try to help lazy people do things before getting frustrated, and he will also try to keep the peace if any angry people are acting up. He's a policeman and he does his duty!!

Though depending on if people poke at the man, he may end up leaving his house to express his ire personally instead of indirectly via immature fire lizard. I'm looking at you here, Regulus.
