The Mouse King

Hello, darlings!

Today heralds the beginning of our December fun, the vaguely-Nutcracker themed Mouse King event. There will not be a log posted until the final battle at the conclusion of the event, so feel free to go wild. Full details can be found here, but here is a brief timeline for your convenience!

Monday, December 15th: The appearance of ballet costumes and props in the stores, and also replacing some of the clothing and objects in the city resident's homes.

Wednesday, December 17th: A number of buildings turn into gingerbread, candy and toys. Personal possessions might also be affected by this, including weapons, with swords and guns being changed to plastic.

Thursday, December 18th: Scratching and whispering sounds start to be heard, becoming louder near the walls and floors. At first, they will only be heard at dawn and dusk but over the next few days will increase in both volume and frequency, until the noises are almost constant.

Saturday, December 20th: An invasion of rats the size of poodles and decked out in makeshift armour made from sewing tools, leaves, twigs and stolen items. They will have to be beaten back with whatever weapons the people in the city can find as they attempt to destroy any house made from gingerbread.

The Mouse King: This part of the plot will be dated to the afternoon of December 20th, and will involve a structured log for the participation of anyone who will be throwing in to defeat the seven-headed Mouse King.
