November Test Drive!

Thinking of apping a character but not sure they'll fit in the city walls?
Have no fear, a meme for you is here.
Directions:
- Use an RNG to choose a location and prompt, or wait for someone else to tag.
- Post with your character with their name and canon on top!
- If you'd like, leave contact info for people to get in contact for plotting and other such shenans.
- Tag around! Make friends. Don't be afraid to chat OOC while tagging.
Locations
1.TRAIN STATION - The place where everyone gets dumped off at. Your first view of Ruby City, complete with informational posters telling you all about where you've ended up.
2. THE BEACH - Lovely year-round, though in the winter months, you're probably not likely to dip your toes in.
3. THE BLACK STALLION - A rather quaint bar. Supposedly, the burgers are great, but you don't see anyone immediately who's willing to serve you. Maybe you're meant to get it yourself.
4. THE OBELISK - The tall monolith in the center of the city marks the gathering place of many events, though right now it seems to be cold and dark.
5. THE CLOCKTOWER - Offering an impressive view of the city, several residents come here to clear their heads, if they don't mind braving the narrow staircase.
6. THE COFFEE JOINT - the front windows are warm and welcoming, and it seems there's always someone friendly enough to fix you a cup when you wander through.
7. THE CATACOMBS - Intrepid, aren't you? Those weird holes may beg exploring, but go too deep and you're going to be in a lot of trouble, considering the viciousness of the creatures held within.
8. THE CITY STREETS - All told, Ruby City is a lovely place, once you get past the fact that several of the buildings look derelict and on the verge of falling down. There's no harm in doing a little sightseeing.
9. THE PARK - You thought it'd be a lovely stroll, but the park is anything but friendly, if those approaching wolf-like creatures are any indication.
10. CHOOSE YOUR OWN - Don't like what we've come up with? Feel like picking your own place? There's a whole host of lovely locations to choose from in the City.
Scenarios
1. NEW ARRIVAL - Step off that train, walk down the street. People usually latch on to newcomers to try and help them out. Even if you look shy, the other residents probably won't be!
2. WATCH TALK - Feeling lost? Disoriented? Don't worry, everyone feels that way on their first day. Fortunately - if the signs at the station are to believed - the watch in your pocket can be used to talk to whoever else might be here.
3. BAD WEATHER - Aw, man. Whether it's snow, or rain, or just plain cold, today was definitely the wrong day to get dumped off in a City in the middle of nowhere.
4. A RUN-IN - Maybe you weren't watching. Maybe they weren't. Either way, you just bumped into someone. Perhaps apologies are in order?
5. HELP, IT HURTS - Clumsy, aren't you? Perhaps wherever the train brought you from wasn't so friendly, or you just tripped and twisted your ankle. Either way, you're in a bit of pain. Hopefully someone will notice your booboos and help patch you up.
6. HUNGRY - It isn't very obvious sometimes that restaurants are what they are, especially in a place like Ruby City. Where can a person go to get a bite to eat around here?
7. MISTAKEN IDENTITY - Hey, there's someone you know! --Or maybe not.
8. BEING FOLLOWED - Maybe you're just being paranoid, or maybe you've got a reason to be afraid. Whatever it is, it feels like there's eyes on you...
9. EVENTS - Feel free to look through our event tag!
10. CHOOSE YOUR OWN - Don't like any of these ideas? Feel free to come up with your own!

There's a dusty, dirty little girl in a poor peasant's kimono who stumbles wide eyed off the train, turning back to look at it and hug herself in confusion and some fear. Closer inspection will reveal that the kimono is made of silk, and despite the dirt, her hair is neatly combed and tied with a fine silk ribbon. She does not speak.
8
Later, she'll be found running around and peeking curiously in doors and staring in the window of shops, pressed against the glass with her mouth open in a soundless "oooh" of wonder. She'll shy away from anyone who approaches too suddenly or aggressively, but otherwise shows no fear of anyone.
9
The first sound she makes is when she is playing happily in the park, only to be ambushed by wolves - a sobbing gasp as she backs away, trembling and wide-eyed.
"Sesshoumaru-sama!"
Or chose your own adventure!

Zack Fair / Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core
[One minute he’d been walking along the market in Sector 5, the next he was on a train.
Zack jolted to his feet, looking left and right in utter confusion. Was this another training module? But that didn’t make any sense. He was sure he’d just been outside; he’d been talking to Aerith. There was no way any of that could have been part of a training module, and to double check he raises his hands to the sides of his head to see if the visor was in place. It wasn’t, of course it wasn’t, because he wasn’t in any simulation.
But if that was the case, where was he? With a frown he waited for the train to stop, hoping off it and onto the platform. Instinctively his hand moved to the hilt of his sword, scanning the empty platform until his gaze landed on the helpful posters that lined the station.]
Ruby City…? [He let go of his weapon, hands moving to pat his pockets until he found the mentioned pocket watch, hitting the record option by accident. Soon the Network is greeted to a very puzzled face.] Maybe I hit my head harder than I thought…?
[His eyes flicker back to the posters, then the watch and it’s then that he seems to realize it’s on. There’s a brief moment of surprised before he straightens his shoulders.]
Right, uh, hello? This is Zack Fair, SOLDIER 1st Class, reporting in. Could someone please explain what's going on here? Or maybe point me in the direction of Shinra? [He's about to turn the watch off when another thought strikes him. His eyes widen, the previous questions momentarily forgotten.] Wait, actually. Has anyone seen a young woman named Aerith? She’s about this tall- [an estimated gesture of height] – and has brown hair in a braid with a pink bow? I was just with her...
8-1
[After getting an explanation for things on the watch Zack has taken to exploring the city itself. It's not hard to navigate after a little while, and soon he manages to remember certain places or things to help him along the way.
Honestly, he's not sure what to make of any of this. He pauses outside on of the empty storefronts, rubbing the back of his neck. He had to get home, that much he knew, but how?
Feel free to bother him while he thinks, or perhaps catch him while he's walking around!]
(young) Elwing | That historical Tolkien book no one wants to read
[The young girl that steps off the train isn't like most arrivals. She's, obviously, younger than most, probably just barely fifteen and wearing a dress more fitting for summer. The chill doesn't seem to bother her much though. What bothers her is that her parents necklace is missing and she knows she had it on before coming to on the strange metal carriage.
Looking around the train station, frantic, she finds the watch and flicks it open. It starts recording.]
Hello? Aunt Galadriel? Uncle Celeborn? Hello?

[anything, literally anything, goes]

forgive how long this took!
Henry Mills | Once Upon a Time | Returned
Quickly flicking it onto the video function, he smiled at the camera in his strange new clothes spoke with confidence.]
Well Ruby City, I'm back. Bad timing as always but I'm back. If anyone remembers me and can fill me in with that I might have missed while gone, I'd appreciate it. I'll be heading over to Mr Gold's shop if you want meet me in person.
Thanks.
Dave Strider | Homestuck
[Staircase? Pfft. We don't do stairs in the House of Strider. Denuntiabamus de gradibus, frater.
After a little nonplussed wandering and general existential uncertainty, Dave's floated up to the top of the Clocktower--literally. He hovers in front of the big clock face, a gangly figure in an impressive cape, hands in his pajama pockets. He watches the evening city below, gaze moving slowly from street to street, from dispersing knot of activity to lights in the windows. There's not a whole lot of expression to be read off his face, but he seems more perplexed than anything else.
Of course, then the bell sounds the hour right behind his head.]
Fuck--!
[Those passing by the Clocktower this fine evening may find, instead of startled birds settling down at the front of the structure, an ungainly tumble of gangly limbs, cape, and distressed swearing dropping out of the sky to land in an awkward stumble on the cobbles, hands clapped over his ears. He reels, half-deafened, and his voice comes out too loud.]
Jesus's zombie ballsack, does the shit parade never just pull over for drinks?
[He's. Not really looking where he's going.]

Ava Ire | Ava's Demon
[Ava's arrival is... let's say 'different' from most arrivals. She stumbles off the train wearing a strange pair of spectacles, that she rightfully shouldn't be able to see through but manages fine. That's not the strange part though. What's strange is that her skin almost looks like boiling lava.]
Uh... O-Odin? Wrathia?
[Her clothes are pretty well torn up, at least the red dress is but she's wearing a blue jacket over it, much too large for her to make up for it.]
[Black Stallion (OMG FOOD)]
[It feels like it's been forever since Ava's had anything to eat, Really it's barely been a day and a lot of that time she'd been unconscious or sleeping. Once they'd gotten to Titan Headquarters though it had caught up her her. So making it to Ruby City, her stomach was grumbling and clenching and demanding food.
Thankfully, Ava has come across the local bar. Obviously she's too young to drink (not that it had stopped Maggie from drinking up at Gil's place) but that's not what she's there for. No, the smell of freshly made food draws her in.
Anyone that finds her there will see her tearing into a burger and fries and a soda.]
[wildcard]
[Have at her.]
dio brando | jjba
[If you happen to be walking through the town square casually there is a very high chance you'll be one of the lucky many to bear witness to a young, blonde boy in clothing that looks like a page out of the 1880s being chased down by a very, very large and angry dog. If you don't recognize him then the irony of this situation is probably lost on you.
If you happen to be unfortunate you may be one of the few he shoves out of the way harshly in his desperation to lose the dog's mad eye on him. For a twelve year old he's pretty vicious about it too.]
Move!
[ b - like a drowned gutter rat ]
[Today's just not looking up for this poor kid! A sudden rainstorm catches him by surprise and before he can reach cover he's already drenched to the bone.
Still, he stubbornly stands under the awning of a closed shop with his arms tensely folded over his chest and represses his shivering as much as he can all the while glaring at anyone who even glances at him. If looks could kill, etc etc...]

enrico pucci | jjba
[2... 3... 5... 7....
After it all Pucci was drained. So much had occurred and so much obscured by the simple action of arriving in a town he had no recollection of. He hardly knew what his own Stand was anymore in this period of change and here he was. In Ruby City.
11... 13... 17... 19...
He stumbles through the streets. The information provided at the train station had been unsatisfactory to say the least. He needed to get there. He could not risk losing this chance to reach Heaven. He would walk there on his own two feet if he had to. Except even his feet were not the most diligent allies at the moment he realizes as his foot catches on the uneven cobble tumbling directly into a stranger. He catches himself against the other on reflex but hurried pushes away while bowing his head.]
Ah- I am terribly sorry. How clumsy of me.
[God damn it. He did not have time for pleasantries right now. His time was slipping away from him and he needed to go- As soon as Pucci rights himself he tries to move forward once more. Focused only on his goal. He was not defeated yet.
23... 29... 31... 37...]
[b. the major lift]
[Pucci has taken some time to rest, to collect himself. Even if he cannot accept the fact that he is stuck in this city there is also nothing he can do about it and he was not one to uselessly waste energy.
With nowhere to go he gravitates towards the cathedral in the center of town. No one could say that Pucci was not a pious man. He is remarkably unobtrusive, seated on a bench to the side of the great hall with head bowed. To the casual observer they might assume he is praying and he very well could be. After all, isn't a man alone with his thoughts another form of prayer in its own right?
Despite the private display he is wearing a priest's garb and as one he is always open to talking with his fellows. It was a habit that was hard to break even when one is feeling lost themselves, so anyone that stares for too long or approaches he will make eye contact with. Come talk with him if you wish.]

Narancia Ghirga | Jojo's Bizarre Adventure
He coughs, face pressed against the glass, reddened by the way he's been leaning on it. He doesn't know how he got here, but he knows that he and his soul weren't so intact just moments ago. He felt the world drift away, and he knew it wasn't coming back.
"So why the fuck am I on a train?"
It's spoken to himself, idly, alone, but it makes him no less surly about the entire ordeal. If a tree falls in the forest, does it still make a noise? If he yells at nothing, is it real? He's not sure. The train slows, then stops, and he steps out onto the platform, looking around with a frown. This ain't Italy.
"Seriously, what the fuck? Hello?"
Narancia Ghirga, age 17. The scene repeats as he gets to various lonely locations...
[chow time]
[Do you work here? Do you look like you're generally competent about things in the area? Are you anywhere near the counter? Like... do you exist?
Narancia just walks right on up, looking around like he knows what's going on... Protip, he doesn't. He's a little out of sorts, anyway, so please pity him and his crestfallen face.]
I guess this place has pizza... Man, I haven't had any since I got here...
[So... hook him up with some?]
[Looking shiftily to the side, Narancia's lips are pressed together, somewhere between complete stubborn resistance and a pout. After a full minute, he finally takes a little breath and looks like the most put-out brat in the world.]
I'M SORRY.
[Another breath, and he looks back over his shoulder at someone.]
THERE. I SAID IT. GIVE IT BACK.

azmaria hendric | chrno crusade
[She wakes up on the train when she should have woken up on a plane and her surprise sends her running off the platform in a panic.]
R-Rosette... Rosette! Father Remington! [Now off the train she spins around and takes in her new environment with widened eyes. It all hits her like a wave. Did something happen while she was asleep?
Distracted, she doesn't even see how close she is to running into someone until she actually bumps into them. Azmaria squeaks and bounces back.] I'm so sorry-!
[ b - coffee joint ]
[Sitting inside the coffee shop is a small relief from the cold weather outside. She takes up a table near the window with the pocket watch she found in her pocket earlier laid out on the table.
Of all things why a pocket watch...
She picks it open and runs a thumb lightly over the buttons inside.] Oh Rosette...

Pannacotta Fugo | JoJo's Bizarre Adventure
[If hesitation could be conveyed through text, this was it.]
I'm not going to ask questions about where I am. I'm only going to ask questions that those who I'm seeking will understand.
1. Passione. The name should be enough to draw who I'm looking for out.
2. Stands. If this doesn't mean anything to you, don't worry about it.
Don't waste my time.
8-8
The streets were unfamiliar to Fugo. They were unlike the streets back in Italy. They were strange and everything put him on edge. He felt uneasy and he'd felt that way ever since arriving in this place. Trains made him uncomfortable, to say the least.
The last thing he remembered was getting back in Giorno's graces. He had wept openly in front of the young gang leader. It was hard to be welcomed back like that, but he didn't hate it. He hated the circumstances that lead up to it -- his overthinking. He hated how he felt abandoned. Feelings of helplessness at the deaths of the people he trusted. Calling Abbacchio a "friend" was not right -- a trusted team member, yes, but not a friend. Narancia, though...that was a friend. One he felt responsible for. Buccellati, too...No, not responsible for him, but something else. There was an emptiness inside.
Speaking of overthinking, a creeping feeling came over Fugo. Was he being followed? He didn't stop walking because he knew better than that; never let the one trailing you know you noticed. He pretended not ignore the feeling and kept going. He did allow a glance over his shoulder. Nonchalant...as nonchalant as he could be, anyway. Keep moving, don't let them know. Keep your guard up.
Or choose your own!
[OOC: I am playing him post-Purple Haze Feedback, meaning he knows the events of part 5.]
