Directions:

Locations

1.TRAIN STATION - The place where everyone gets dumped off at. Your first view of Ruby City, complete with informational posters telling you all about where you've ended up.
2. THE BEACH - Lovely year-round, though in the winter months, you're probably not likely to dip your toes in.
3. THE BLACK STALLION - A rather quaint bar. Supposedly, the burgers are great, but you don't see anyone immediately who's willing to serve you. Maybe you're meant to get it yourself.
4. THE OBELISK - The tall monolith in the center of the city marks the gathering place of many events, though right now it seems to be cold and dark.
5. THE CLOCKTOWER - Offering an impressive view of the city, several residents come here to clear their heads, if they don't mind braving the narrow staircase.
6. THE COFFEE JOINT - the front windows are warm and welcoming, and it seems there's always someone friendly enough to fix you a cup when you wander through.
7. THE CATACOMBS - Intrepid, aren't you? Those weird holes may beg exploring, but go too deep and you're going to be in a lot of trouble, considering the viciousness of the creatures held within.
8. THE CITY STREETS - All told, Ruby City is a lovely place, once you get past the fact that several of the buildings look derelict and on the verge of falling down. There's no harm in doing a little sightseeing.
9. THE PARK - You thought it'd be a lovely stroll, but the park is anything but friendly, if those approaching wolf-like creatures are any indication.
10. CHOOSE YOUR OWN - Don't like what we've come up with? Feel like picking your own place? There's a whole host of lovely locations to choose from in the City.


Scenarios


1. NEW ARRIVAL - Step off that train, walk down the street. People usually latch on to newcomers to try and help them out. Even if you look shy, the other residents probably won't be!
2. WATCH TALK - Feeling lost? Disoriented? Don't worry, everyone feels that way on their first day. Fortunately - if the signs at the station are to believed - the watch in your pocket can be used to talk to whoever else might be here.
3. BAD WEATHER - Aw, man. Whether it's snow, or rain, or just plain cold, today was definitely the wrong day to get dumped off in a City in the middle of nowhere.
4. A RUN-IN - Maybe you weren't watching. Maybe they weren't. Either way, you just bumped into someone. Perhaps apologies are in order?
5. HELP, IT HURTS - Clumsy, aren't you? Perhaps wherever the train brought you from wasn't so friendly, or you just tripped and twisted your ankle. Either way, you're in a bit of pain. Hopefully someone will notice your booboos and help patch you up.
6. HUNGRY - It isn't very obvious sometimes that restaurants are what they are, especially in a place like Ruby City. Where can a person go to get a bite to eat around here?
7. MISTAKEN IDENTITY - Hey, there's someone you know! --Or maybe not.
8. BEING FOLLOWED - Maybe you're just being paranoid, or maybe you've got a reason to be afraid. Whatever it is, it feels like there's eyes on you...
9. EVENTS - Feel free to look through our event tag!
10. CHOOSE YOUR OWN - Don't like any of these ideas? Feel free to come up with your own!

Radical Edward | Cowboy Bebop (post anime)

(OOC: Just a heads up for those who have not seen her but this version of Edward is about 6 years after the anime so she's now in her early 20s, canon through anime otherwise)

(Train station)

"Satellite from days of old this is so not the landing port on Jupiter!" came the voice of a young woman with a motor scooter on one arm and a backpack full of computer gear screaming a much different time. Especially since the young hacker/bounty hunter (cowboy as she would say) was also banged up from escaping a bounty that had grandly backfired on her (which would explain the scooter). For now she just walked, hopefully able to get a few things for the moment.

Answers to where she was, painkillers for her ankle and access to a plug to charge her computers.

Urd kept vanishing and reappearing and being annoyingly Urd. So Belldandy was bound to show up eventually. Right? Right? So Skuld was checking the train station, as she often did. And also, you never knew, maybe this time she could catch the train long enough to take it apart. She was never going to stop trying.

Though the thought of tearing apart the train died when she saw the woman with the scooter. She hadn't seen something with an actual motor in too long. Other than the train, of course.

She raced over, eagerly. "I will give you nearly anything if I can have the bike!" she said, and then she spotted the computer gear. "Or... we could work on something together," she said, almost wistfully.

Ed lit up at the idea of a project and maybe a new friend in the process,"What do you have in mind?" she was grinning. "And I'm Edward!" she added since she had almost forgot that part.

"I'm Skuld! Goddess, Second class, limited!" She gave her a peace sign, proudly. Then she considered.

"We could build a Bampei mark RC!"

"How about a crash course?" but Ed's smile never wavered. "I just have Tomato and mini Tomato, I built that one myself!"

"I don't build things that crash!" Anymore. And it wouldn't have crashed if Keiichi had driven it right!

Nadeshiko walked with the grace of a dancer, carrying a rather large picnic basket with ease. She had been looking to make a new friend, to share the treats she had made.

To all appearances, Nadeshiko was a lovely young girl, about 14, with a high purple ponytail, and a lovely spider silk kimono. Everything about her spoke of grace and quiet beauty. When she saw Ed, her smile widened gently, and she made her way over. "Welcome to Ruby City," she said happily. "Would you care to share a picnic with me?"

Ed's clothes and ponytail were typical of a young female cowboy in her world (and she looks to be anywhere from early to mid 20s) as she was spoken to by the younger girl. Her smile however seemed to light up rooms,"Of course! A picnic sounds like fun."

"Wonderful! Is the park acceptable?" she asked, smiling happily. "I made tea and desserts, and sandwiches. So we can eat nearly anywhere."

"Totally!" Ed was grinning, she never passed up a chance for new friends after all. "And Ed'll try anything food wise."

She smiled brightly, and headed towards the park. "This place is pretty nice, once you get used to it."

He had bounced off the train happily. Most might be concerned that he shouldn't know what a train was, but of course he did. After all, without trains, how would they understand railroad plots? Duh! He knew what a train was, it was something you got on when you leveled up and you came off it stronger and knowing cool things. Like that time Roy died and came back with a new feat!

Elan was happily thinking his nothing little thoughts when he saw Edward. Pretty girl. Red hair. But... no pony tail. No single lock falling out over one eye. No leather armor. No bow.

He marched up to her. "You're not Haley," he informed her, as though she needed to know this.

"I"m not Haley I'm Edward!" Ed's ponytail seemed to bounce as she spoke. All this was strange enough but this was her first time having someone confirm that she was not who they were looking for.

Oh! There was the ponytail! But not Haley. He missed Haley.

He considered. "Isn't Edward a male name?" he asked.

"Well in my case Edward is also a lady's name too." Ed was still smiling, she decided against spilling it was also not her real name for now. "Names run the map in 2080 after all!"

"2080? Wow!" he said, impressed. "I've never even seen a map of 2080! I don't even know where 2080 is!"

He blinked, then you could almost see the light bulb. "OH! 20/80. You mean a treasure split!"
