Locations

1.TRAIN STATION - The place where everyone gets dumped off at. Your first view of Ruby City, complete with informational posters telling you all about where you've ended up.
2. THE BEACH - Lovely year-round, though in the winter months, you're probably not likely to dip your toes in.
3. THE BLACK STALLION - A rather quaint bar. Supposedly, the burgers are great, but you don't see anyone immediately who's willing to serve you. Maybe you're meant to get it yourself.
4. THE OBELISK - The tall monolith in the center of the city marks the gathering place of many events, though right now it seems to be cold and dark.
5. THE CLOCKTOWER - Offering an impressive view of the city, several residents come here to clear their heads, if they don't mind braving the narrow staircase.
6. THE COFFEE JOINT - the front windows are warm and welcoming, and it seems there's always someone friendly enough to fix you a cup when you wander through.
7. THE CATACOMBS - Intrepid, aren't you? Those weird holes may beg exploring, but go too deep and you're going to be in a lot of trouble, considering the viciousness of the creatures held within.
8. THE CITY STREETS - All told, Ruby City is a lovely place, once you get past the fact that several of the buildings look derelict and on the verge of falling down. There's no harm in doing a little sightseeing.
9. THE PARK - You thought it'd be a lovely stroll, but the park is anything but friendly, if those approaching wolf-like creatures are any indication.
10. CHOOSE YOUR OWN - Don't like what we've come up with? Feel like picking your own place? There's a whole host of lovely locations to choose from in the City.

Scenarios

1. NEW ARRIVAL - Step off that train, walk down the street. People usually latch on to newcomers to try and help them out. Even if you look shy, the other residents probably won't be!
2. WATCH TALK - Feeling lost? Disoriented? Don't worry, everyone feels that way on their first day. Fortunately - if the signs at the station are to believed - the watch in your pocket can be used to talk to whoever else might be here.
3. BAD WEATHER - Aw, man. Whether it's snow, or rain, or just plain cold, today was definitely the wrong day to get dumped off in a City in the middle of nowhere.
4. A RUN-IN - Maybe you weren't watching. Maybe they weren't. Either way, you just bumped into someone. Perhaps apologies are in order?
5. HELP, IT HURTS - Clumsy, aren't you? Perhaps wherever the train brought you from wasn't so friendly, or you just tripped and twisted your ankle. Either way, you're in a bit of pain. Hopefully someone will notice your booboos and help patch you up.
6. HUNGRY - It isn't very obvious sometimes that restaurants are what they are, especially in a place like Ruby City. Where can a person go to get a bite to eat around here?
7. MISTAKEN IDENTITY - Hey, there's someone you know! --Or maybe not.
8. BEING FOLLOWED - Maybe you're just being paranoid, or maybe you've got a reason to be afraid. Whatever it is, it feels like there's eyes on you...
9. EVENTS - Feel free to look through our event tag!

OPEN LOCATIONS (and scenarios, actually)

The rain is actually... kind of nice.

So nice, this guy can be seen standing right out in the middle of it, head tilted back for a moment as the rain pours down. Maybe this is a ridiculous idea, considering the temperatures have been dropping pretty low around this time of day. But, to be frank, it's not the dumbest thing he's ever done. Right now, he just needs some time to clear his head, and really? This is about the only thing that's come close to doing it, since he arrived on that mysterious train.

Eyes closed, he releases a heavy sigh, and then resumes looking around. It's definitely not every day that he finds himself in a strange place with no way of leaving... but well, he supposes things could be much worse. The way things had been back home...

...Actually, he's going to stop his thoughts right there, and purely focus on figuring out who else is around. So, he might approach you, asking your name, how long you've been here. He'll be traveling from the train station to wherever his feet can carry him. He won't be stopping any time soon, regardless of this downpour -- though, he will be taking time to dry off in any of those places that seem like they might(?) be restaurants(???)...

Aqua had been walking in the rain, also appreciating the feel of it, to clear her head. She was back on the emotional swing between feeling hopeful and feeling useless that she had been on ever since Mickey vanished. Her home for kids had exactly one teenager living with her, and no one else. And while she was happy that every other child here had a loving home, it did make her wonder what she had to offer.

She still hadn't found Chassie.

At least she had been able to help Steven when he came back, though what he told her about leaving and coming back was still swirling around in her head. Of course it had company - the memories she got from touching Mickey's Keyblade, and the memories that came when she arrived at the station one day and came face to face with... herself. A version of her that had spent years in the city, who had been loved and useful here.

It wasn't like Aqua to feel sorry for herself, and she did her best not to. But after everything that happened with her kids back at the mansion, then arriving here, after watching her Master die, after being apart from her two friends for so long...

She called in her Keyblade as she walked, holding it up to see the Wayfinder. "Terra, Ven," she whispered, wondering if they had come back yet. If they would go to that mansion and find her gone. What Filks and Master Xavier and Master McCoy would tell them. What they'd be able to tell them.

Her Keyblade vanished, her arm still raised... and she stopped dead. As if her wishing had worked this time, as if it had summoned him somehow... Terra?

Could that actually be Terra? She was staring at his back... but she grew up with that back, she would know him - back or front - anywhere.

Aqua broke into a run, closing the distance between them. He had to be there, it had to be him. Not another trick of the City's. If Terra was here, then Ven was here. They could find a way back home. Together.

"Terra!" she called, happy tears mixing with the rain. Please. Just this once... don't let the city be this cruel. Just this once... let him be real. Let him be here.

He wasn't the only person out in the rain. Though Skuld's way of moving through it was perhaps a little different. The best thing about this place was the rain, really. Because when the puddles got deep enough....

Skuld popped up out of a puddle and hovered over it a moment, pleased with herself, until she realized just how close she was to someone, someone she didn't know.

Startled, the young goddess stumbled back, no longer floating as she landed on her butt in another puddle, splashing them both. Graceful, Skuld. Really.

"Sorry," she mumbled, getting to her feet. Where appearing through the puddle didn't seem to make her any wetter or dirtier than the rain did, the fall stained the back of her skirt and leggings with mud and dead leaves. Not that she's noticed quite yet.

Ivy and Grey had been in England's tea shop to wait out the rain, giving each other a hard time about what they considered to be tea. Grey usually won because the shop served mundane tea. Had they been in Xanth, Ivy would have had it. When the stranger came up to ask them questions she blinked, then gestured to a char, smiling. "Would you like to join us?"

"Uh... yeah." Grey seemed a little bit less enthusiastic, but just a little.

Kairi was running through the rain. Not that she really minded getting wet all that much, but it was wet AND cold, and she could do without the cold. She did slow down some as she passed along side the buildings. She just wanted to get in and warm and dry up. She stopped in the doorway of one building to check her map when he stopped to ask her something.

Kairi pushed some hair behind one ear and smiled up at him. "My name's Kairi," she answered. He looked as cold as she felt. She'd have called in her keyblade if she knew any magic like Riku and Sora did, to warm them both up. She'd offr her umbrella, but she gave it away already, and hadn't replaced it yet.
