Plotting for Captain Roger's Army

Hey RC! I wanted to do a follow up OOC post to Steve's Recruitment Post so everyone can know the deal. This is going to be a LONG post, so bear with me.

So here's the thing. Steve's roughly divided the city into four different zones, and three shifts. He's going to try to have at least ONE person covering each zone at every given time. The expectation is that the person will wander around the area, watching and listening for trouble. The obelisk roughly forms the central point where the four zones meet. Steve will make sure that only the most powerful fighters are assigned to the Eastern zone, because it includes the park.

Note there are more people than needed for the patrols, so people will NOT have to be on every single day. The more people he adds, the easier it'll be for everyone, and he'll be actively continuing to recruit. His ultimate goal is to have overlapping zones so that everywhere is covered by two people, one of which has magical ability, at any given time. Each of the leaders is in charge of one of the big zones.

This is not going to be something I will actively OOCly administer after this. If you want to participate and are not on this list you can go ahead and assume you talked to Steve and he added you to the roster. If you want to play out the conversation, go ahead and contact Steve on his IC contact page or on any post or thread he makes in the future.

I may do a proper write-up for this later, so if you could let me know OOCly if you want to be added to the list, that would be helpful.

Every volunteer that Steve doesn't already know well can expect to have Steve join them during their patrol at least once. He'll be getting to know them as well as watching them fight, making sure that they're the kind of people he can trust to do this. I probably don't have time to play all of these threads out, lol.

You are all welcome OOCly to just pick an area and shift that you want and use it as a means for building CR. You can also pick one of the squad leaders and build CR with them! Just have fun with this. If you have any questions, go ahead and ask me :3

Hiatus!

Hi folks! Bat here. Finals are upon me so I'm going to be taking a hiatus until they're over, May 10th. I won't be completely gone, but I know I won't be able to make AC. I'll continue to backtag and may tag a few new things that really catch my eye, but for the most part, I'll be even more scarce than usual.

Eren and Rin are both on autopilot until I get back. You know. Doin' their thang.

Weather for the remainder of the month looks set to be a little cooler and damp, with rain frequently falling overnight. It has done its job in washing away the last of the winter snow and some parts of the plains are carpeted in flowers. This may be bad news for anyone suffering from pollen allergies.

If people's roofs have sprung leaks over the winter, now is definitely the time they'll be making themselves noticed.

City News

The NPCs are quiet, but they're watching some people more keenly than others (you know who you are). Occasionally soft organ music might be heard from outside the cathedral, quieting upon anyone entering the building.

The cathedral does not have a pipe organ.

Along with the dryad activity, fairies are now stirring in the deeper parts of woods. Though generally friendly (being of the Seelie) they are mischievous and not beyond stealing people away for a time should they unwittingly step into a fairy ring. At the lake, the merfolk are making the occasional appearance to watch anyone who comes by. They can be difficult to spot but a keen eye might see several pairs of eyes that disappear with barely a ripple the moment they realise they've been noticed.

For anyone feeling brave enough to venture into the deep woods, a flash of silvery white between the trees heralds the presence of a unicorn for those who are pure of heart. They are shy creatures who will rarely approach anyone, their natures meaning they are more likely to be seen by accident than by someone purposefully searching.

All animals/monsters in the areas around the city can be found in the bestiary. If you would like an NPC'd interaction with one that is marked as such, please respond to the post with the subject line 'Monster Interaction Request', and a moderator will get back to you!

Stores are stocking normally, currently with an extra supply of chocolate.

Hey there, Ruby City! This is Mako again, coming with my third character (and only guy so far), Snow Villiers from the game with the girls that have pink hair who fight the guy with the purple hair. The other characters I play are Aerith Gainsborough from FF7 and Mitsuru Kirijo from P3. Whatever, not important. Snow is the hero and don't you dare forget it!

Also, Serah is the best.

Um, his canon point is pretty much before 13-2 starts, so he doesn't know about all the stuff in Lightning Returns or time travel or Noel, Caius and Yuel. That'll be fun.
