+1 High Priestess

Hello Ruby City! Not-so-fresh blood here, I'm Cherry and I'm an old player coming back to the game after a long time. I understand the game has changed a lot and there's a lot of new faces though! It's nice to meet everyone.

For some misadventures, I bring you High Priestess Margaretha Sorin, a Boss monster in the MMORP Ragnarök Online. Long story short, she was a very skilled and very caring, spunky priestess who did something wonderful for her party but was later kidnapped and experimented on along with other adventurers by an evil corporation. Then one day she died, her body was dumped in the underground level of the lab (which looks like a pretty big dump site for wasted/failed projects anyway) and her spirit re-emerged to take revenge on those who hurt her and her companions. If you know the game, you'll probably know there isn'there  a lot about her in-game aside from her being mentioned in a quest or two, so by all means she's a Canon OC. I play her as generally pretty caring but kind of rebellious but because of her traumatic past, she does have weak points that, if pushed, get her to go berserk. Not Boss monster-levels of berserk, you know, but pretty out there. Generally she's really reachable and she's a healer/support class kind of character, so she'll probably put your character's health and safety first. As for me, well, I used to play Aradia Megido here (among others) but that feels so long ago. Regrettably, at this point in canon Kirei's...well, he's kind of a brick wall in human form. So just as fair warning, if by chance it feels like ICly talking to said brick wall...well trust me, it's not you. Hiatus

Hey guys! I’m taking a short hiatus from 8th-26th to take care of some unexpected RL issues, and get stuff taken care of for university. I will still be tagging everything that I currently have going but I won’t be tagging anything new. So progress on current threads won’t be put on a halt or anything. I’m just going to take this time to focus on what I have and getting things straight in RL.

Full Weather Report | Threat Report

When the fog finally clears at the end of the current event, the following week will be sunny with mild temperatures, making it seem almost as if the previous days of nightmarish terror never happened. There will be some rain half way through the month but it will do little more than give the flowers and plants a light watering. With autumn on the way the leaves of the trees around the city and in the woods and distant forest are slowly starting to turn to brown, gold and red as the season turns.

City News

Due to the actions of Eren Jaeger, the woods just outside of the city may be more hostile for unwary travellers, at least until the sudden appearance of a Titan tearing a path through the trees has moved further into memory. Dryads will still assist anyone lost or under attack from the Spriggans stirred up by the path's formation, but they won't be seen otherwise.

Those keeping an eye on store stocks may notice the supply of fruit and vegetables shifting in time with the season, with things such as cucumber, strawberries and broccoli becoming unavailable in favour of autumn fare such as pumpkin, mushrooms, apples and pears.

The Emporium is currently not visible in the city, but requests are open! They will be responded to on September 24th. We hope that you'll have fun gathering your required trades! Those who failed to supply evidence of their trade in the past round are free to re-submit, but you may get a different - possibly more difficult - task in doing so.

Those using the Event Post may have noticed a few new NPCs flitting around. Their purpose will become clear in the months to come, but in the meantime, don't worry! They're supposed to be there.

At the closing of the event, from September 12th, midday, through September 13th, evening, the threat level will be at Level 5 swarm state. However, On September 14th, the threat level will drop to 0, as no monsters will approach the city. Please mind this occurrence and be prepared. If you have any encounters that you want to be moderated during the swarm, please consult the bestiary.

Spiral Training School Information

Our Lancer (oathshackledbird) player currently has an OOC post available for the opening tournament of the Spiral Training School. Taking place after the current event concludes, this is a player-run plot and we wholly encourage taking part if you can!

Current and Upcoming Events

The current event plaguing the city is the Dreamwalking/Nightmare Event. There is a mod-posted log for this available here, but you're free to make your own logs, too! Once characters begin waking up, the Network is still available for use.

Miscellaneous

The Activity Check is currently live! It will close on the 9th of September at 11:59PM CST, after which the Warning List will be made available, but don't panic! There's no penalty for ending up on the second list, it's just a notification that you haven't yet posted your AC. At this time, PMs will be sent out to those who haven't yet checked in. If you find you're having trouble with making AC for any reason, don't hesitate to get in touch with us!

Finally, we have made the decision to eliminate the c: tags from rubycity_rp. The main reason for this is that we were running out of room for tags! However, it also seemed to us that they were becoming superfluous. So, if you find that your 'c:' tag no longer works, don't panic! You just need to use your character tag from now on. We will be merging the tags together and deleting any that are unused over the coming week. The 'c:' tags are now completely defunct and all unused tags have been removed from the logs and rp communities. If you discover that your tag has been deleted, that's our bad! Please let us know via PM and we will fix it for you.
