G'day, Ruby City! It's time for a meme for both testdrivers and denizens.

Been itching to test out some CR but haven't had the posts to do it? Thinking of apping a character but not sure they'll fit in the city walls?

4. The Black Stallion Saloon: You were told the burgers were great here-- but maybe you just came for the beer.


5. The Library: You came to do a little research, but it looks like all of the information's just out of your reach. Though, you can always find a way to pass the time here.


6. The Coffee Joint: Run by Lukas, a lovely place to have a chat and a bite to eat.


7. Le Cafe Anglais: A Parisian-British fusion that's as charming as it sounds and serves the best tea around.

1. Just walked in: You intended to get here, and you made your way in; but now someone's caught your eye and you'd like to have a chat.


2. Been here all day: You've been sitting around minding the time. Maybe you didn't notice them at first or maybe you were just working up the courage to talk-- either way, they know you're here and you know it too.

A - Train Station

[ To say that Trucy isn't more than a little confused would be a lie. She's very confused. As she steps off of the train, the change in scenery is definitely noticeable -- this isn't Los Angeles anymore. This is... well, she's not sure.

Maybe this is a magic trick gone wrong. No, no, it couldn't be. She wasn't practicing anything on the train, so obviously this is a dream. For a long moment, the young girl stands there, deciding to go about this with a level head -- it's time to investigate. ]

B - The Library

[ Answers are not an easy thing to come by here, it would seem. Trucy has been searching all day, speaking to people here and there, but she needs to know more, so what better place to look than the library. She's sitting at a table, though, surrounded by books that have lead her absolutely no where, but the expression on her face says it all -- she's determined, and she's not going to give up until she finds out just how being taken from her own home to here is remotely possible. ]

Yep. Have to do this.

[Another day, another greeting. Still, we have to keep doing this; sooner or later, SOMEONE else is going to show up from the future. I have a strange feeling about this one, too.]

[ Familiar voices -- but one in particular stands out to her. Quickly, Trucy turns her head to the two, eyes widening. She knows these two, but especially the elder of the two; as a matter of fact, it's Phoenix that she's staring at, and she's staring hard.

That suit, she hasn't seen him in it in... well, since the incident. And his attorney's badge... ]

...Daddy, why are you wearing your suit? Where are we?

[ Something is off. Big time off -- he looks just like he did when she first met him all those years ago. And Maya... just what in the world is going on? ]

[ Trucy stops what she's doing and quickly looks up at the man in the cravat. He looks familiar... well, she supposes that doesn't really matter right now. She smiles at him, despite feeling more frustrated and lost than she has in a very, very long time. ]

Oh, hello! Ah... well, you see, I've just... I don't really know what's going on. I just know that I'm not supposed to be here, and I was trying to find any information that I can get.

I am so thrilled our cast is blowing up!

_{[He bows his head shallowly, ever the proper gentleman.]}

My name is Miles Edgeworth. I have been here over a year and I'd be glad to help answer your questions. Though I am afraid some of the more pressing ones you must have are yet without answers.

[ Her eyes widen briefly -- Miles Edgeworth. Prosecutor... yes, that's where she knows him! He doesn't seem to recognize her, so she brushes it off and her smile widens. ]

A year? Wow, that's a while! Thank you for your help, Mr. Edgeworth. It's nice to meet you, my name is Trucy Wright!

I was seriously JUST talking about wanting a Kay too... also that threat above is killing me

[ This must be what her father-- Phoenix was talking about. Different time periods and the such. She's already broken enough brains for one day, so it's best to maybe not drop the 'PHOENIX IS MY DAD' bomb on him yet. ]

Er-- well, not long. A few hours... da-- [ she pauses for a moment -- ] ...Mr. Wright [ That sounds just as awkward to say as it is to even think about, and it probably translates into her voice. ] told me a bit about it, but we got a bit... sidetracked. Hahahahaaaa...

Then I look very much forward to being her counterpart

_{[He narrows his eyes suspiciously as she says that name... but lets it go. He can't say anything about that other than she said it oddly and that's... well. Odd. He lets it go.]}

_{[He is prepared to offer his guest room to her if she needs it. He's done so for other residents in need.]}

Sidetracked? _{[Since when did Phoenix ever let go of major issues like kidnappings? He was usually like a dog with a bone about that.]}

Machi has a moment of paralysis when he catches sight of Trucy's distinctive getup--then, suddenly, breaks into a run, dashing up anxiously to pull up in front of her.]

[ Trucy blinks, and then her own eyes widen. She knows exactly who this is, but she really didn't expect to see him... well, here. Or ever again, for that matter... ]

Whoa, what are you doing here? Where are we?

[ Yeah. Now she's convinced this is a dream of some sort. ]

Machi, what's going on?

[Machi didn't plan this very well--in retrospect, he was too startled by a familiar face to think about his own shortcomings, but there's no time to spend apologising. He hesitates just a moment, then grabs her wrist and drags her towards the wall, where these posters are hung.]

[ Poor Machi. She lets him drag her, though, and immediately her eyes dart to the posters; her eyes scan for the one in English, and... oh, there it is.

She squints slightly as she reads, and after a few moments she finally looks back to Machi. ]

This place... is called Ruby City... but how?

[ She digs around in the little heart shaped purse at her side, pulling out the mentioned watch. ]

D-did you get one of these, too, then?

[ ...Well, she's really hoping he's understanding her enough. She holds the watch up for him to inspect. ]

Body language, body language.

[No worries, Trucy; though it's not apparent when talking to some people, Ruby City removes most all language barriers between its occupants. Machi could have used Borginian, but insecurity and strategy go hand in hand here.

In short, he's still kind of a little shit.

In response to her first question, he raises a hand and clutches the front of his shirt briefly before offering an exaggerated shrug.

He does have a watch, though, and digs around in his pockets until he pulls his out, showing it to her.]

[He turns his around and opens it up with swift, nervous fingers, then shows it to her.]

Open, can talk in. Like... like... uh.

[... crap. He fumbles for the word. ]

[...he tried.]

Oh, good! And yes, that's right. You can talk into it! But I think you mean phone, right?

[ She grins slightly, because at the very least she knows what he's trying to say. It's probably a good thing she doesn't realize the whole language barrier being lifted thing yet, too. Give it time, though... she'll realize eventually. ]

The poster said we're supposed to use these for communication purposes. To talk to other people, and that's great and all, but what if we want to talk to the people who are in charge? That's who I want to talk to, at least... they'd have the answer as to why we were brought here!
