[EVENT] We're all going on a summer holiday~

Somewhere beyond the sea, somewhere waiting for me...

It's that time of year, the sun is shining, the tank is clean, but there's nary a beach to have a good old summer party on, right?

Wrong.

On Monday, August 5th, a portal will appear in the centre of the city. Through it, a tropical paradise will be visible, perhaps strikingly familiar to some. The smell of the sea and the sound of the waves is so enticing, how can anyone possibly resist taking a look? Is it a trap? An elaborate hoax? Only walking through the portal will tell.

On the other side, is a deserted island, surrounded on all sides by water. The island itself is ready to be explored, but straying too deeply into the thick jungle lining the beach and stretching up to the mountain rising up in the island's centre isn't recommended, unless you are equipped to handle the unusual and exotic creatures that can be found there. Following the river that runs into the sea in one part of the island will lead to a wide lagoon and stunning waterfalls, and deeper exploration for the brave and bold will reveal ancient ruins deep in the heart of the island.

Doesn't it sound perfect?

What's the catch, we hear you ask. Well, of course there's a catch.

Although the portal city-side remains constant, the other flickers constantly, remaining steady for several hours before vanishing for several more. While the portal is closed beach-side, people will still be able to enter city-side, though their landing might be a little rough! Watch communication is limited and will not pass from one world to the other.

!Because of this, should you use an open post during the event, please mark where your character is when they are sending it!

At 11:59PM on Sunday, August 11th, the portals on both sides will close and disappear. Anyone caught on the wrong side will be unceremoniously dropped, unharmed, into the city centre.

Use your week of fun wisely, but don't lose heart, dear friends, once it's over. This isn't the last you've seen of some of these locations.

By which I mean, I'm going to sit here and laugh at him. A lot. Then feel bad for him. And then laugh more.

Although I have to wonder if any of the part ice giant thing gives him some internal cooling system.

The headcanon I've come up with is that he feels slightly cooler to everyone else and has an intolerance to heat when he's all peachy and much colder to the touch and can't take much heat/sun at all when all blue.
