I don't even know how I got here. I didn't know anything about the human world until today.

I haven't really studied shapeshifting yet...but I know enough about it that I might be able to manage with some practice.

*He looks down at the raw meat, then over at Dante's.*

Well that's a relief. Don't think I can smuggle you out without anyone noticing, you'll get the whole city in an uproar.

All young demons learn how to hide. It's the only way to survive when you're still weak.

Explains why you thought I was gonna eat you. Sounds rough, your master doesn't protect you?

[Well he used the threat of him, is that usually enough? Dante doesn't actually know, but something tells him demon parents aren't the best. And that something is his severe resentment and anger over his own father that we're not discussing.

If I can't survive, it means I'm not good enough. He'll get revenge, but he won't keep me safe.

*Meat looks cooked, omnomnom.*

I'm safer than other demons my age because not many people want to insult Lord Chronos, but there's always a few. And some don't know who I am right away.

Sounds pretty shitty if you ask me.

[He won't mince words, the way devils treat their young is garbage and that's all there is to it. But yes, cooked meat is great and you should totally institute this as a habit.]

Not entirely. Lord Cronos gives me a safe place to rest without demanding anything but that I train. But I have to do some hunting on my own.

[Nothing normal about it, not that Dante really knows a whole lot about 'normal'. Growing up in the human world is definitely vastly different than the demon, apparently.]
