November Test Drive!

Thinking of apping a character but not sure they'll fit in the city walls?
Have no fear, a meme for you is here.
Directions:
Locations:
1. Train Station: New arrival, or waiting to welcome people? Either way, the train comes in, but you still can't ride it out.
2. Cathedral: Looking for redemption? Just doing a little sight-seeing? Or just getting a little shelter?
3. The Beach: You can almost forget you're trapped, in a place like this...
4. The Black Stallion Saloon: You were told the burgers were great here-- but maybe you just came for the beer.
5. The Library: You came to do a little research, but it looks like all of the information's just out of your reach. Though, you can always find a way to pass the time here.
6. The Coffee Joint: A lovely place to have a chat and a bite to eat.
7. The Forest: Not a great place to be caught alone, but are you alone?
8. Wildcard: Pick anything from our list!
Scenarios
1. Just walked in: You intended to get here, and you made your way in; but now someone's caught your eye and you'd like to have a chat.
2. Been here all day: You've been sitting around minding the time. Maybe you didn't notice them at first or maybe you were just working up the courage to talk-- either way, they know you're here and you know it too.
3. Bad weather: You're here because you've gotten rained in. This wasn't your choice, but at least it's dry-- right?
4. Wild card: Got something better in mind? Well screw these prompts, try it out yourself!
Have fun, guys!

For a second she can't believe it.
But it only takes that one second of frozen indecision for her to edge closer, making sure to approach from a visible angle. She knew her. She knew not to sneak up. And once she was near enough that her quiet voice could be heard over the waves she called out, hesitantly, but she had to make sure:]
...Pekoyama?
no subject
...Mukuro's said her voice as though she knows her. She can hear the familiarity, but... the girl in front of her is not familiar to her at all. Should she know her?
...No, this girl was not on the island.]
...I'm sorry.
Should I... know you?
no subject
Mukuro can't tell if she's relieved or disappointed.
She shakes her head, hands clasping behind herself, unsure exactly how to proceed with this conversation but trying.]
We went to school together. I was the SHSL Soldier. ...Mukuro Ikusaba.
no subject
It would seem... that the organisation responsible for trapping my... [...Friends?]
That some organisation removed my memories of Hope's Peak Academy.
[She had not been too certain before Mahiru's murder, but she is certain now. The evidence continues to pile up.
...Is she supposed to say It's nice to see you again to someone she can't remember? That feels insincere, but saying nothing also feels strange.
Regardless, she adds no more.]
no subject
[She takes in a long breath, releases it slowly.]
I wasn't... a good person to know, then, anyway.
[Peko doesn't remember her, she knows, she's probably coming off as strange-- and she's used to that, really, but it feels somehow worse. Mukuro can't say she really cared about anyone else when she was at the Academy, not when all her thoughts and feelings and everything had been nothing but Junko; there wasn't room for anything or anyone else, but... they'd understood each other. Her silver eyes flick up to meet Peko's crimson red, as striking as she remembers them, even in this younger body.]
...Are you all right?
no subject
At Ikusaba's question, however, Peko seems hesitant.]
I...
I don't know.
[She looks down at the sand, one arm crossed and one hand at her chin.]
Is it possible for people who come here.... to have done so in death?
[This is not what she imagined of heaven or hell.]
no subject
Mukuro nods, speaking softly.]
Yes. I can't explain it. No one can. But even if you've died where you're from... you can still end up here, alive.
[She pauses, uncertain, but she might as well say it. It doesn't matter.]
...The same thing happened to me, too.
no subject
I am sorry.
[That is unfortunate. Needless killing was unfortunate and-- why had she assumed Mukuro had been killed?
It doesn't matter, in the end, as it is still unfortunate.]
That is... difficult to accept. Nevertheless, I suppose it cannot be denied.
[She is, after all, breathing.]
But not all those who come here are dead, are they?
no subject
No, there's... lots of live people, too. It's... the closest thing is 'magic.' Strange things happen, people appear and disappear, there are monsters or something... it's complicated. I still don't know all of it myself.
[Mukuro hesitates only a moment. She knows she has to talk about this, she knows, but she's not sure how to go about it. In the end, straightfoward is really the only choice.]
...Listen, you should... you should know that Kuzuryuu is here, too. And, um, Nanami, if you know her.
no subject
You know him, as well?
[Of course, if he'd known Peko, he must have known Kuzuryuu, but it till seems surprising that she would mention him.]
Where-- where are they?
no subject
I live with them. I can take you to their house.
no subject
Please... I would be in your debt.
[Though she tries not to show it, it's obvious; she is going to get there, to find him, whether Mukuro comes along or not.]
no subject
No, you don't owe me anything. This is the least I can do.
[After everything she'd done, or stood by and allowed her sister to do, there was no way she would ever consider Peko in her debt. She taps at her watch as she walked, trying to contact Kuzuryuu ahead of time-- she really doesn't think this is something to surprise him with, even though it's a good one.]
...He'll be glad to see you.
no subject
Still... it is much appreciated. I found myself without a weapon this far out.
[It was foolish, but she had been able to improvise. She should have been more careful, but coming back from the dead isn't easy, especially when you wake up somewhere so very different.]
...And I will be glad to see him as well.
[Glad, apologetic, probably going to cry, already swallowing the lump in her throat-- you know. Glad.]
no subject
I don't have a sword, but you can borrow this.
[She has others, several, she never feels safe without them. The little claw-blade in her pocket, the slim dagger in her boot, switchblades and throwing knives and all her silver fangs. She could spare this one for her.
She doesn't comment on Peko's emotional state; she doesn't know what to say. She's not even sure how she feels. Mukuro thinks she's glad, to find her of all people, to deliver her safely home to Kuzuryuu. But there's guilt and something melancholy too, and all of they're all muted and muffled like most of her feelings are.]
no subject
If Mukuro did not want to risk Peko being able to take her down, she would not arm her. This gesture speaks volumes.]
Thank you.
[She takes it by the handle, holds it at the ready.
Nods. She'll follow you, Mukuro. There is language spoken only between their glances, the language of soldiers and warriors.]
no subject
Peko's reaction is... almost soothing, somehow. She understands. She still understands. Even without her memories, even younger and disoriented and so different from the Peko she remembers, they still understand each other. She's surprised to realize she feels relieved. So she's willing to show her back, too, to move ahead of her without fear. She isn't careless-- Mukuro is never careless-- but she accepts that this Peko won't harm her.
(and even if she does, if she somehow realizes who she is-- she can accept that.)]
no subject
...These 'monsters', did you encounter any on the way here?
[Peko must have been too quiet, too careful, because she'd had little trouble getting here.]
no subject
I haven't seen any myself, yet. But everyone seems to agree they exist.
[She can believe it, honestly. This place is strange enough.]
no subject
[This can't all be another Monokuma trick, right? Not even Monokuma could bring people back from the dead. That wouldn't make any sense.]
If it's true...
[Then she'll have to keep an eye out.]
no subject
It's not Monokuma.
[She'll have to explain how she knows. But that's all right. Kuzuryuu is already aware she'd been involved in the 'School Life of Mutual Killing' scenario. She doesn't mind letting Peko know, too.]
I've heard about things like... living shadows, or giant animals. Storybook monsters.
no subject
Storybook monsters...?
[The dead coming back to life, mythical monsters--]
...That can't be possible.
no subject
I know. A lot of impossible things exist here.
[Like her own life, and younger, kinder versions of the vicious comrades she once had, and magic and monsters and superpowers and she ends up just blurting out:]
Kuzuryuu has a pet dragon.
[A pause.]
A small one, I mean.
no subject
I'm sorry...
He has... a small dragon?
[Is she just hearing shit or is Ikusaba really claiming there's some sort of Mushu following Fuyuhiko around?]
no subject
...Yes.
...About this big.
[Mukuro takes her hands from her pockets to demonstrate, holding them apart to show about how long the little beast is. She's not sure why. This isn't helping.]
His name is Shinoda.
[That isn't either. She is so terrible at interacting. This is why they didn't speak much, before, she's sure. But it had startled her when she'd first seen it, it just seems reasonable to tell Peko now, right?]
...It's still hard for me to believe too.
