November Test Drive!

Thinking of apping a character but not sure they'll fit in the city walls?
Have no fear, a meme for you is here.
Directions:
Locations:
1. Train Station: New arrival, or waiting to welcome people? Either way, the train comes in, but you still can't ride it out.
2. Cathedral: Looking for redemption? Just doing a little sight-seeing? Or just getting a little shelter?
3. The Beach: You can almost forget you're trapped, in a place like this...
4. The Black Stallion Saloon: You were told the burgers were great here-- but maybe you just came for the beer.
5. The Library: You came to do a little research, but it looks like all of the information's just out of your reach. Though, you can always find a way to pass the time here.
6. The Coffee Joint: A lovely place to have a chat and a bite to eat.
7. The Forest: Not a great place to be caught alone, but are you alone?
8. Wildcard: Pick anything from our list!
Scenarios
1. Just walked in: You intended to get here, and you made your way in; but now someone's caught your eye and you'd like to have a chat.
2. Been here all day: You've been sitting around minding the time. Maybe you didn't notice them at first or maybe you were just working up the courage to talk-- either way, they know you're here and you know it too.
3. Bad weather: You're here because you've gotten rained in. This wasn't your choice, but at least it's dry-- right?
4. Wild card: Got something better in mind? Well screw these prompts, try it out yourself!
Have fun, guys!
Pekoyama Peko | Super Dangan Ronpa 2
[It might seem ironic or repetitive or downright stupid for someone who was just trapped on an island to go to the beach once more to feel calm.
But the truth is, sometimes it can be hard to adjust to the fact you are no longer a hostage-- or at least being held hostage in a new way. Peko stands at the shore, quiet, calculating. Watching the movement of the ocean, the cold, foamy tide licking the sand and washing over the soles of her shoes.
a: [Though she still stands with the presence of a warrior, she is confused, and she may seem startled if approached.]
b: If one should pass by her as she turns to leave, however, she will nod and give a polite (but detached) greeting.]
Good afternoon.
a
[Is that... Hiroshi's sure he's seen that girl before. Once. In a dream. But not his own. Should he approach? She seems lost in thought, though.
After a bit, he walks over carefully and sits down. Not too close, not too far.]
...This didn't used to be here, you know.
no subject
She looks him over, scanning him with her eyes. He is young and does not carry himself in the way of a warrior. He is not likely to be a threat.]
So I've heard.
[...She should engage conversation. That's what she was taught by Hajime, and by Kuzuryuu.]
...When did it come to be?
no subject
no subject
[She turns her eyes back to the sea.]
That should be impossible. However... I do not doubt what you have told me.
[...She seems to think that is an acceptable way to respond. Sorry, Hiroshi, she's not the best at talking.]
no subject
no subject
[A pause.]
...In the last place I was, very similar things happened.
[Which explains her lack of surprise.]
no subject
[He pauses.]
I am Hiroshi Yamane. I have lived in this city for quite some time. May I have your name?

For a second she can't believe it.
But it only takes that one second of frozen indecision for her to edge closer, making sure to approach from a visible angle. She knew her. She knew not to sneak up. And once she was near enough that her quiet voice could be heard over the waves she called out, hesitantly, but she had to make sure:]
...Pekoyama?
no subject
...Mukuro's said her voice as though she knows her. She can hear the familiarity, but... the girl in front of her is not familiar to her at all. Should she know her?
...No, this girl was not on the island.]
...I'm sorry.
Should I... know you?
no subject
Mukuro can't tell if she's relieved or disappointed.
She shakes her head, hands clasping behind herself, unsure exactly how to proceed with this conversation but trying.]
We went to school together. I was the SHSL Soldier. ...Mukuro Ikusaba.
no subject
It would seem... that the organisation responsible for trapping my... [...Friends?]
That some organisation removed my memories of Hope's Peak Academy.
[She had not been too certain before Mahiru's murder, but she is certain now. The evidence continues to pile up.
...Is she supposed to say It's nice to see you again to someone she can't remember? That feels insincere, but saying nothing also feels strange.
Regardless, she adds no more.]
no subject
[She takes in a long breath, releases it slowly.]
I wasn't... a good person to know, then, anyway.
[Peko doesn't remember her, she knows, she's probably coming off as strange-- and she's used to that, really, but it feels somehow worse. Mukuro can't say she really cared about anyone else when she was at the Academy, not when all her thoughts and feelings and everything had been nothing but Junko; there wasn't room for anything or anyone else, but... they'd understood each other. Her silver eyes flick up to meet Peko's crimson red, as striking as she remembers them, even in this younger body.]
...Are you all right?
no subject
At Ikusaba's question, however, Peko seems hesitant.]
I...
I don't know.
[She looks down at the sand, one arm crossed and one hand at her chin.]
Is it possible for people who come here.... to have done so in death?
[This is not what she imagined of heaven or hell.]
no subject
Mukuro nods, speaking softly.]
Yes. I can't explain it. No one can. But even if you've died where you're from... you can still end up here, alive.
[She pauses, uncertain, but she might as well say it. It doesn't matter.]
...The same thing happened to me, too.

a!
...However, considering it was Nanami, it could have been much simpler than that. It could have just been because SEES visited the beach in Persona 3. Who knows?
Whatever the reason, she's found herself approaching the shore, but her footsteps come to a halt upon seeing someone, someone familiar, standing there. She's silent, studying the other carefully, before finally making an effort to speak out and confirm her suspicions.]
...Pekoyama-san?
[If it's her, then...she knows that Kuzuryuu will be happy. Not that she wouldn't be happy herself - after all, she considered the swordswoman a friend just as she did the rest of their group - but in light of her relationship with the yakuza, she knew that he would be the most pleased to see her again. Especially since she had once been here before, only to leave them both without a word.]
no subject
It isn't the voice of her young master-- no, of Fuyuhiko-- but it is a voice of... a friend.
No... could she still call Nanami a friend? She had betrayed all of them, and though she did not regret acting for Fuyuhiko, she did regret that she couldn't have remained peaceful with them. That... and she'd heard it.
Killing was unforgivable.
She'd known they could not forgive her from the start.]
...Nanami-san.
[She bows, she waits, she keeps her distance.
Nanami can't wish to approach her, can she? No...]
no subject
So it is you...ah, I'm glad. Hello, Pekoyama-san. ...Or would "welcome back" be a better response? Hmm...
no subject
A smile, and an acknowledgement of her death. Surely this can't be?
...What's the proper response here? Nanami has thrown her for a loop; where she expected some sort of scolding, Nanami has given her only warmth.]
I-I... Thank you.
[It's forced, it's almost frightened. The warrior that can be shaken by nearly nothing is at a loss with this kindness.
There are many things she wants to ask, but she can't seem to find the right way to articulate them.]
...I think 'Hello' will do. We are not... at Jabberwock Island.
no subject
[Maybe she should try and invite the others to have a beach gathering...just like Sonia had intended back on the island with just the girls (and, well, Hinata and Souda). Except this time, it could be co-ed from the beginning and wouldn't end in murder. That would be nice, she thinks, and it would be a great way to bond...and it wouldn't be too difficult to find a board game here that they could all play.]
...Did you just get here, Pekoyama-san? You probably have questions, right? Feel free to ask me anything...I've been here for a while.
no subject
[Peko steels her gaze, swallows, clenches her palms. She looks at Nanami very gravely.]
Nanami-san. If you are permitting me to ask you anything...
Then may I first ask why you address me at all?
[She killed their friend. She failed her duty.]

decision made, Minako takes her shoes and socks in hand, and she heads down the beach to stand next to the girl at the shore. ]
You know, it's better if you take your shoes off.
no subject
...It would be a little difficult to do so.
[She gestures to her legs.]
I'm wearing stockings, not socks. But I do agree with you.
no subject
[ she shrugs, though. it's not like she's going to make a big deal out of whether someone wants to wear their shoes on the beach or not. more importantly, she got a response that was a little friendlier than she was expecting, judging by the girl's cold appearance. ]
I don't think I've seen you around before... Are you new to the city?
no subject
[She turns to face this stranger a little more, though she crosses her arms.]
My name is Pekoyama Peko. Am I to assume you are a resident here?
