The Cathedral

Archer's presence here...was troubling. This was not Fuyuki, the Grail was not here, and what was more, he couldn't sense his Master anywhere nearby. He could have been inside something like a Reality Marble, but he couldn't seem to track down the caster of such an elaborate spell, and, besides, he could not think of a magus alive in this age who could maintain such a thing for as long as he'd been trapped there. It had been, to his reckoning, an hour already.

So, having gained nothing by his own observations and unwilling to seek answers further out when he did not fully understand the situation, he approached the one place he thought he might find guidance: the Church. He let himself in quietly and chose not to announce himself. Instead, he walked silently to one side of the pews, analyzing the architecture of the building.

He popped the watch open and closed with a faint, rhythmic clicking as he familiarized himself with his surroundings in what was otherwise silence.

Has anyone in this place heard from a Tohsaka Rin?

I am concerned for her well-being.

Tohsaka Rin was present here once before, but has since returned to her own world.

May I inquire who is asking for her?

When you say she has returned to her own world, was that of her own will, or...?

Outside of her own control, yes. All people are brought here by the power of the city itself, it would seem, and their return is based on such power as well.

Am I to assume you are a servant as well?

I am Arturia Pendragon, of the police force of this city. It is a world apart from those in which the Grail War occurs, and is a crossroads between many other worlds and even timelines.
We have been brought here by forces outside our knowledge, though recent rumour dictates that the city itself may be what has pulled people to and from it.

If there is any further information you need, you may further inquire or visit the police station in the southwest portion of the city.

I am Rin's Archer. Though, if this city sits between timelines, I suppose it's possible you and I have not met...

That is correct. The last archer I met would have made a much more grandiose appearance, I'm afraid.

It may benefit you to know that there are other servants in this city as well, but as there is no Grail and no need for contracts, there is little cause for alarm. Other magi are here as well, but that is better discussed in person.

You said that the police station is in the southwest part of the city?

She was here in some capacity when I first arrived, but seems to have disappeared.

"In some capacity"? Could you elaborate on that?

I'm an acquaintance of her family. The Tohsaka Rin I encountered here was not quite the same as the one I am familiar with; that is to say, she was significantly older. This place seems to play havoc with both time and basic logic.

Yes. I had heard something about that. Then, the Rin you know: She would not have been a girl in her teens?

No--I believe she was only around eight or nine years old.

Understood. That would have been some time before I met her. Was she doing well, the Rin you met here?

Well enough, as far as I was able to tell. We only spoke once or twice; it seemed as though she didn't particularly care to associate with me for some reason.
